  1. I remember 22 years ago when Antawn Kirk-Hughes attempted to plant the Longhorns flag at Nebraska's stadium after a win. Problem was, they had artificial turf.
  2. I like the Liucci 44. He is a skilled talent evaluator. And avoids bias.
  3. His career YPC is 13.4 (and trending up each year -- 8.8 to 13.7 to 15.6) Sanders' was 13.1 David Thomas' was 13.9 Finley was 12.5 Scaife was 13.3 Helm is going to play in Sundays. He played as a true freshman but recorded no catches. Normally I would regret that for him and us. But honestly, he probably would go pro even if he had that year back. There is zero dropoff from Sanders to Helm. I was not expecting that.
  4. Their defense won't be ranked in the top 50 by the end of the year. Sark better show no mercy this year. I don't want a Michigan second half against them. Put your foot on their necks like they did to us in early 2000s.
  5. Finally got to really watch the game. I was working and watching on computer Saturday. So couldn’t pay close attention I have drunk the Koolaid. We are loaded. Deepest team we’ve ever had. At least in my 48 years. Our secondary is night and day from last year. Biggest improvement on the team. And we are deep (recurring theme). Hill and rest of linebackers can play. Colin Simmons and Moore are going to get a lot of sacks. Simmons is going to be a very, very high draft pick save injury. Best pure pass rusher we’ve had since 2002 with a freshman named Michael Williams (who a year later flamed out because of a girl). No longer worried about DT. We have multiple guys who are good enough to above average. WRs are sick. Legit 6 deep. Wingo is special. The rest are fantastic college WRs at a minimum. Not worried about backs because Gibson is a player behind the two studs in front of him. I love Wisner. Football player. Our backs might catch 80 balls this season combined. Where the hell did Helm come from? I thought he was okay. Now I think he’s as good as Sanders and maybe better. He’s got a better frame. Didn’t realize he’s athletic as he is. Good depth behind him and apparently the true freshman Washington is a stud. Ewers is so, so much better moving in the pocket to avoid pressure and make plays. That big pass on third and 13 to Bond is a great example. So was the touchdown to Moore that was called back due to BS holding. Ewers has really improved. Don’t know if he will ever hit sideline deep balls at a high rate. It doesn’t matter. He can hit deep balls in the middle and is a surgeon hitting receivers on the move on short and intermediate passes. We have so much depth. Sark has recruited and worked portal beautifully. Mack never had a bottom half of a roster like this. Very little dead weight. VY’s title year we had average linebackers and no depth. No depth at receiver. No backup quarterback. Colt’s teams had shitty OLs and average backs and we were screwed if colt got hurt — Chiles was the backup. If Ewers gets hurt for a couple games like last year, I think Manning keeps it rolling. We are going to house at least 3 kicks/punts this year. And I expect our defense to score several TDs by the end of the year. The only thing I’ve seen so far that concerns me at all is the punter. And that’s a very small sample size with a freshman who will likely improve once he settles in. Maybe we should have gotten a portal punter like last year? Or maybe we will be fine with Kern? I’ll be watching. This is our best team since 2005. And has a chance to go the distance. A really good chance. We are going to play Georgia twice most likely. Unless Tennessee beats them.
  6. Wasn’t close to holding. He whipped his man.
  7. He’s not really young. He’ll be 21 in a few months and he’s been in a college football program for almost 3 years.
  8. Last year we beat the SEC champ in their stadium by double digits while taking a knee in scoring position.
  9. The officials stole 7 from us.
  10. Did he treat you nice after?
  11. That is one attractive woman.
  12. We played tougher schedules than they did like 9 of the last 12 years. Because 9 conference games and their garbage non conference. They also had South Carolina as their permanent rival. Those idiots are impervious to facts.
  13. One of the worst spots I’ve ever seen. And then the dumbass announcers.
  14. We any serious depth at WR, Qb and LB in 2004-05. And colts team had no starters or depth at OL. No decent backup WRs and we had to start Shipley at TE unless you count Greg Smith. Backup RBs were nothing speciall
  15. My favorites were that we lack depth. This is the deepest Texas team in my life. Backups are significantly better than 2005 (and several position groups are also — including LB and WR). Better depth that Colt teams. also them claiming the Cam Williams hold was text book. Bullshit. He pancakes a guy and the ref costs us 7.
  16. This is a game where points per drive will be more telling than total points. They will run clock like a Jimbo Fisher offense. Just don't get stupid with turnover margins. Only way we get over about 31 with the way they burn clock will be if we have a big turnover margin in our favor or some DST scores. We should win the turnover margin given the QB advantage. We win this game 4 out of 5 times it is played. Does not mean we can't lose. But you have to like our chances. I expect our OL to play well. A lot of experience and two really good tackles.
  17. Yeah, that 3.9 yards per attempt and 87 QB rating is spicy.
  18. Guess I should have started him.
  19. Just don't be +2 or 3 on turnovers.
  20. That's a Longhorn trolling. A little too obvious.
  21. I doubt we role out the dime against Michigan like we did against an Air Raid team. We shut down their passing game by devoting extra DBs. That makes it easier to run.
  22. You don't need all that shit to get fit. All you need to do is eat less and move more. And don't drink calories (unless it is a protein shake you are using to replace a meal). You will lose weight if you consume less than burn. Eating lean protein and veggies is cheaper than processed shit (and super cheap if you meal prep in large batches and freeze individual portions). Not to mention what you save by not drinking alcohol. No one needs a personal trainer. Get an app on your phone if you don't know enough about resistance training. If you don't know how to cook, get on YouTube. But cooking lean proteins and veggies is not rocket science. Neither is making a decent salad. You can track your calorie deficit by logging your food and activity with any number of free apps. I have a home gym buying used equipment I have maybe spent $1500 over the last few years. And truthfully, I could get by with doing pushups, burpees, pull ups, and other body weight exercises. Running, jogging, walking, hiking, etc. are free.
  23. The entire offense was terrible. The defense was not. And the defense would have even been better had there been a competent offense playing complementary football. GG was really, really bad. So was the line. Receivers and backs were league average. I remember walking out of the Rose Bowl against Alabama a little depressed about the game. Then one of my good friends, who usually is pretty spot on, told me he thought we were completely screwed on offense in 2010. And I asked him why. He said our entire offense that night sans Colt was Jordan Shipley getting wide ass open a handful of times, and he was departing.
