  1. Get one. Then if you don’t like it, get another one. Keep going until you get the one(s) you like. Problem solved.
  2. V-1 is a pulse jet. Even the piloted version. You were correct. **I see I was beaten to it. Unsurprising with this bunch.
  3. Only tested. They never used it. Keep in mind, the V-1 is nascent stage guided bomb. While there were others (I’m looking at you Kettering aerial torpedo), this is really where the history of cruise missiles begin. So everything about it - including guidance - was super primitive. Especially by today’s standards.
  4. The comedian never leaves that guy and I’m here for it. Maintaining a sense of humor when he could easily get bogged down the in human tragedy playing out is just another reason to like this guy.
  5. Those dudes are hiding from a tank farm fire by hiding under a railroad tanker car? Mm kay.
  6. Yes. Yes you do. What did you have in mind?
  7. Live map claiming this ship full of fuel got torched by a missile on the Crimean side of the ferry. https://liveuamap.com/en/2024/22-august-the-burning-ferry-conro-trader-in-the-port-of-kavkaz
  8. I didn't see a request for a new law there. As you point out, it sounds more like a request to make a new law than one to enforce what we have?
  9. No matter what's happening with your car, gtfo the highway.
  10. Inbound flight was in the morning on Qatar, arriving mid morning. They use pretty updated equipment, so no worries there. Then Buddha Air ATR 72 to Bharatpur, afternoon. Buddha Air to Pokhara, then same from Pokhara back to Kathmandu. Also took the Buddha Air flight just to go see Everest and the other tall mountains. This was in May, and the weather was really quite nice the whole time (but for Bharatpur where one day it was 108F!). No winds to speak of. Even took an ultralight flight up to the mountains in Pokhara, which was one of the coolest things I've ever done. All operations seemed professional and well run. Then outbound was Qatar again.
  11. “And even if I did, I can’t do anything about it without getting thrown out a window? Best keep my head down and eat my borscht. Do you have any vodka or a cigarette?”
  12. What was so scary about Kathmandu? Seemed alright to me. Ushuaia was pretty scary to me. Nowhere to go but runway or ocean.
  13. That looks great. All I'm saying is I prefer this look: To this look:
  14. If I have any quibble with that guitar, it's that I'm not a fan of black pick guards over sunbursts. But that's like a "which is better? Chocolate or vanilla?" kind of argument.
  15. 13009 posts for you to figure out what we knew at post 1.
  16. Hard decision between giving this one a laugh, and a fafo.
