  1. I am in love with this guitar. I've had a standing watch on Reverb for a walnut 335/45/55. It plays like a dream. It has a thinner neck, which is good for me, but not too thin. It definitely has the vintage vibe. Finally, one of my favorite guitar solos of all time is a 345 or 55 (they're not entirely sure) through a Twin. Mick Taylor on the second part of "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" is my personal bliss state. So I have a Twin, all I need is one of these. You can bet I'll be playing it non stop for the next week or so. So add all that up, and yeah, this one is on the "must have" list. Plus it can do jazz (not that I can, heh heh) and all sorts of other tones. Not just blues.
  2. A friend is going on vacation and is skittish about leaving guitars around (he’s already been robbed once). Left this with me for the week. I may have posted it previously. Anyhow, a 1972 walnut ES-345.
  3. She probably needs me to give it a good squishing down for her.
  4. I suspect if it were capable of doing so, they would have. Also, the Ukes aren't reactionary. They are calculating. And that is in our favor.
  5. Well I suppose there was the occasional dalliance here and there. I'll be that's what he told his wives, anyhow.
  6. I had a cousin who inherited a beautiful one of these from my uncle. Of course, cousin had it about five minutes before he wrapped it around a tree. Not sure how he and his passenger survived. Dumb luck I'd imagine.
  7. Holy shit. Deal of a lifetime.
  8. Worth checking out if you ever get to Pokhara.
  9. Does anyone have a sense of when that has to happen? Seems like he has a lot more outlier communities to destroy before he gets to the flower of the ethnic Russian heartland.
  10. There is a very strong tradition in Nepalese culture of mercenary fighting. The British had a recruiting station in Nepal until just a few years ago. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gurkha?wprov=sfti1#British_Indian_Army_(c._1857%E2%80%931947)
  11. You sure that’s not a ‘58?
  12. That looks great Ed! Keep it up and you’ll be cruising in no time!
  13. It’s that time again. Some classics from the Lakewood 4th of July parade this morning.

  15. Be sure to forward the pic of the shell with the dedication.
  16. It’s such a thing we could probably rename this thread after it.
  17. There's one in Chinese, there's one In Korean, there's many in Spanish, there's one in Cambodian, there's one in Vietnamese, there's several in Arabic...need I go on?
  18. It’s really crazy that so many of our regulations are written in blood, but the people who scream “too many regulations!” never understand that undoing them may spill their own blood. Leopard, meet face example eleventy billion.
  19. Earl Sheib was nation wide and widely known for cheap, shitty paint jobs. Better keep that vinyl covered roof inside. The metal under it will deteriorate quickly if left outdoors. My Mustang roof was Swiss cheese when I restored it. Like flaky and had holes in it. Nothing between the vinyl top and the headliner.
  20. This is a totally legitimate take. I know a guy who’s been a one guitar fella since the 60s and it’s really worked well for him.
