  1. I've done 4 JSN's; 2 Fall / 2 Spring.
Spring is a great opportunity to line up possible leadership for the Lion & Tiger / Bobcat Dens (assuming you're a Lion enabled Pack) + get some Q & A out there for those who don't understand the flow chart for a "Family Pack".
Got any questions for me?  One thing I did was get a large TV & plug it into a computer & run a looped slideshow of the activities our Scouts have done.  Maybe you've got a lot of pics of YOUR Scout & that's great, but also ask for pics from other Scouting parents so it doesn't appear as though your kid is the only one in Scouts.

Tell me about the flow chart for a Family Pack.

We will be officially chartered today and have our first Pack meeting on Monday.

    True story:

About ten years ago a friend of mine got divorced, and re-entered the dating scene. He met a woman on some dating app, and went to dinner with her. At the restaurant, his psycho hose beast ex was there with her new boyfriend. Angry glances were exchanged, boyfriend of ex decides he needs to show off and walks to their table and says some shit. Voices were raised, the boyfriend and his ex were asked to leave the restaurant.

After dinner the boyfriend was waiting in the parking lot. Words were exchanged between my friend and his ex's boyfriend. Boyfriend pulls gun. Friend's date pulls her CC and puts two in the guy's chest.

Guy lived.  Charges were not filed. They did not go on another date.

She was packing. Not sure if she was stacked or not.

Now THAT is how you cool story bro.

  3. I remember buying this album out of a bin I picked at Canton First Monday on the suggestion of a friend.  I distinctly recall the first time I heard it and being blown away.  I accidentally put it on Side 2 first.  The slide/wah combo on "Crazy Momma" knocked me out.

Since then, I've probably bought it at least ten times, as I keep giving it away to friends or loaning it out and never getting it back.  It's full of great songwriting and it's kind of a weird anomaly considering it also used some of the first drum machines ever.  Yet it still has this down home front porch groove to it.  Anyhow, I put it here for those who haven't been turned on to it.

Great thread btw.  Always love hearing new stuff and getting reacquainted with some I haven't heard in a while.

  4. So I was pondering having a guitar dedicated to slide...which I do already, but you know, a different, maybe better one.  Plus it would give me a project to noodle around with.  Maybe find a body here, pick up there, etc.  Took me years the last time around.  I had recently seen Jason Isbell's Coodercaster and poking around looking for ideas, when there she was...

Man, these guys have done the slide guitar all sorts of beautiful ways.

    And just listen...

They're quite proud of them, but from appearances, they oughta be.
