I guess ole Whiskey Pete is going for more of a Hitlerjugend vibe.
File under:
First, I don't think we're anywhere near a peace deal.
Second, whether we are or not, the Ukrainians may as well do as much harm to Russia in any days. Play until the whistle blows.
In short, why is today different than any other day?
Tagnarog is the home of Beriev, famous for amphibious maritime patrol planes. But also Beriev does a lot of one off or limited conversions of standard line aircraft into specialized mission aircraft. Think of L3 or the like in the US. My guess is that the A-60 wasn't really being used for anything which is why it was parked there in range of weapons. While blowing it up may give good feels, it really doesn't change anything on the ground or in the air. In other words, I'll bet this particular airframe was either not airworthy, or the experiments it was intended for were put on indefinite hold by the war.
No kidding. I’m over here trying to see how small I can make my rig and still do what it needs to do and these guys over here trying to make ears bleed.
I mean, he was no better than Putin. They were of the same cloth. But what if they were too busy throwing rocks at each other to be bothered with Ukraine? And we benefitted by having two awful people in a knife fight with each other?
It seems like nothing but good could have come for the people of Ukraine and the US from that scenario. Though the people of Russia...maybe not so much.
In any case, we'll never know.
This is also true. Can't wait to see how it all turns out, just hope it gets to turning out sooner rather than later.
Man, I'll never understand why Prigozhin turned around. He was fully committed and had people on his side. Moscow was wide open. He had to know he was a dead man walking if he didn't succeed. I'll never understand it.
I got a real musical education there. Never heard of Velvet Underground until then. Didn't know Sticky Fingers had an actual zipper on the LP cover. Found out Ronnie Wood played bass with Jeff Beck. Found out who Jeff Beck was. You know, the shit that matters.
This is one of those records that I recall exactly where I was when I first heard it. In McConnell Hall on the UNT campus in the fall of 1990 in my friend Dan's room. Dan's dad had a bitchen record collection - literally his whole house was just shelves and shelves of records. He let Dan borrow stuff to show off to his friends at school. He put this on and it just stopped me cold. I wasn't quite sure what I was listening too, but I knew I liked it.
Then when he told me there was a movie that went with it, and it was in English, but had to be subtitled, well, I had to see it to believe it.
Sail on, sailor.
