  1. Plus, Cam gets the Fly-est bitches and wears gold chains heavier than Ann Wilson at a Heart reunion tour sponsored by Krispy Kreme.
  2. They did manage not to immediately acquiesce to Trump firing that Fed lady on the Trumped up mortgage fraud charges. I figured there would be some sort of shadow docket approval, but the lady keeps her job until they hear the case sometime in 2026. At least I thought I heard that on my drive home yesterday.
  3. Dude. You literally stan the self proclaimed white supremacist party. You support the party that wants to eliminate the history of racism in America, and wants to remove references to slavery from our museums and public institutions. If you’re not against those people, it’s a pretty good guess that you are in fact, a racist. Why? Because, you see, You. Support. Racists.
  4. Holy shit, changing to iOS 18 fixed all the problems. I was about to go to the Apple Store and have them run some kind of bug scan because things were taking forever to load, and I kept seeing this gray screen with nothing loading. Very much appreciated
  5. On Konstantin’s Wednesday economy round up he mentioned that one of the gas station chains not having gas in the Moscow area belongs to one of the largest petroleum companies in Russia. He said what concerned the citizens was that this particular company was one of the largest in Russia, with vast wealth, its own oil drilling/production, and its own gasoline refineries to process its own oil into gas. It then sells its own gas in its own gas stations. When that company’s gas stations are out of gas, the drivers think, “Holy shit, if that company’s station is out of gas, things are seriously much worse!” He also reminded us that every business that fails that owes money to the bank requires that bank to pull money out of its reserves to satisfy the loan default on its books. He thinks that banks are literally hemorrhaging their reserves right now, and that the Russian cultural propensity for its citizens who have learned that it is smart to engage in bank runs to protect their assets should just about be upon us - and to watch for it. Older Soviet citizens knew when shit was about to hit the fan, one had to take everything you owned and convert it from rubles into dollars or Euros. or at minimum, clean out your bank deposits and purchase something that had value to you. Something like non-perishable food - or electronics and appliances - things that were always scarce and would increase in value - so that when you came out on the other end, you still owned things that had the same or greater value then the now discounted rubles. Bank runs…
  6. I read today that the Flamingo has a greater distance than the Tomahawk, and can also carry a heavier payload of explosives. Dayum. Ukraine is warp speeding its armaments development.
  7. I think there is a chance that the Supreme Court may decide an issue that is good for the future of the GOP and so-called conservatives, while not being what Trump wants. It is also possible that the court will protect its own power and authority if it is in conflict with TFG and a serious threat. Note, I am not saying they will protect the people of the United States and our system of government, but they just might protect themselves. Sometimes things are as simple as you say, and sometimes they are normally as simple as you say, with the occasional nuance. No matter the parties involved, it’s usually a good idea to put money on people protecting their own self-interest. I understand that GOP politicians are too cowardly to oppose Trump’s grabbing powers that belong to other branches of government. That does not mean they wholeheartedly agree with that, they just know they are dead if they oppose it. But unlike Congress, the nine robes are appointed for life. I remain hopeful that GOP members of Congress who are too cowardly to oppose Trump may back channel to Scotus that they would not mind installing some governors on TFG’s total takeover of government. SCOTUS can survive Trump for a while by being his toadies, but that will be a short-lived relationship until he decides he no longer needs them. They know this. That was the whole conundrum of Marbury v Madison. How can the Supreme Court exert power and influence when they have no means to enforce their rulings absent the acquiescence of the ruled? If me saying it “probably won’t matter”, and saying my opinion is only a “faint hope” ruffles your jimmies as overly optimistic, that just shows what a shitty simulation we are all in right now.
  8. Outstanding post. It’s like whether they were smart or dumb or rich or poor, the whole damn country decided it needed to emulate Gordon Gecko’s “greed is good” instead of Mr. Smith and his filibuster speech.
  9. I have no idea. But if it turns out that the shadow fleet is selling gas to people who sell it to Russia at a profit, I’m gonna need to see a doctor after four hours.
  10. I was just coming to post that That was a nice run. I always worried that poachers would take her out.
  11. Per Kyiv Independent and Euromaiden news, Russia has removed import tariffs on gasoline, and will be purchasing gas from China, South Korea, and Singapore. That’s right, Russia has banned export of gasoline so it’s not getting rubles for the economy, and instead has to use the remaining rubles to pay other Asian countries to import gas to Russia. Which means we need to destroy every terminal that could logistically accept gasoline from other countries.
  12. Well, maybe the Democrats should just go ahead and give Trump the Sudentenland so they aren’t punished in the election.
  13. Shut up! The man is a legend. He’s like the Kevin Sorbo of rock.
  14. I don’t know, man - I have this vision of an orgasmic future event where each factory and refinery will get multiple saved up flamingos. So many flamingos that the now-limited number of air defense missiles can’t stop them all. I want the destruction of those sites and loss of electrical power to happen on the same day - in an event so dark and catastrophic that Russia can’t recover from it and continue its war effort at the same time. Or at all. “Imagine there’s no Russia. It’s easy if you try. No Orcs in Donbas. Glide bombs descending from the sky…Imagine all the Vatniks, Telegram off-line for all time. Ooh hoo, hoooooo… You could say I’m a dreamer. But I’m not the only one. Someday you’ll join us…and the world will live as one…. Gigantic Russia Smashing Hammer ”
  15. Somebody just recommended the Boldin Retirement software to me again. Does anybody here use it/has used it/know of people who have used it - and can share their thoughts on whether they think it’s worth purchasing and using?
  16. Nice summary “Make sure that Moscow’s elites have gas and fuel. We don’t care about that preventative maintenance stuff right now. What could possibly go wrong?” i’ve been wondering why they didn’t use Flamingos on the refineries - and I guess the answer is as long as drones can do the job - there’s no reason to spend the money and the resource of an ICBM. On one glorious day in the future you send the new Tomahawks and glide bombs and hundreds of new Flamingos at the military industrial complex factories making whatever they still make, while taking out whatever power plants supply energy to the factories.
  17. Silly Ukraine. Drone strikes just increasing the cost of the reparations they will have to pay Russia.
  18. I know it’s easy to fall through a rabbit hole of ends versus means when trying to justify an economically damaged America, there is no way that the loss of our democracy and having Trump as dictator will not end up being far worse for America and its citizens than whatever long economic hellscape we must endure in order to prevent that happening. While it is sad that millions of Americans are forced to jump on the grenade, whether they voted for TFG or not, that is kind of where we are.
  19. These three posts show the methodical work that Ukraine is doing. They bomb the main pipeline and then follow up destroying pumping stations along the route. Like Hermann Goring having to explain why Berlin is being bombed, Putin should be answering questions why Russia cannot defend its integral gas and oil facilities from Ukrainian attacks. While the loss of oil and gas refining and exporting facilities is a problem for sure, the macro problem is that Russia has no air defense that can stop Ukraine from shutting down the gas station part of Russia being a gas station with nukes.
