Has anyone seen the movie “Lagaan: One Upon a Time in India?” This is what I’m talking about, with these ethnic enclaves in our country, it can make the whole area smell of toasted cumin and delicious, fresh roti.
That. Or Indira Ghandi's thong.

What new voters will KH get with any economic policies that are even arguably controversial that she doesn't already have.
She should have spent today at a photo shoot with TW shooting an axis deer.

You guys talking about tacos? Don't you think that's some information I would like to know?

For the record, I hate the phrase "juice isn't worth the squeeze" more than the whole steak no sizzle and soup to nuts.
Not taxing tips is stupid.

What daylight do you see between what she's talking about and price controls? It's not like we're the only ones that say it looks like that.
Most state price gouging statutes contain these three elements:
- Emergency or Crisis Situation – applies to abrupt price increases during a time of disaster or other emergency
- Essential Items or Services – applies exclusively to items or services that are essential to survival
- Price Limit – sets a limit on the price that can be charged for essential goods or services
I could see a Price Gouging statute that had a relatively high standard of proof that required a showing of monopoly or a certain jump in profit margin unrelated to product improvement, etc.
I see something like that as distinct from simple price controls.

So when’s the last time Billie Jean king was on the wearies box?
This is how fucking old I am. I saw Billie Jean King and for some reason I thought.
Fuck Anita Bryant.
On the other hand. Phrasing.

When I showed up to Stanford at age 18 from San Antonio I was a Mexican American and the dudes from Califas were Chicanos. If you were on top of your Cesar Chavez lore, you were a Chicano.
Chicanos were union folks, were still pissed about Chavez Ravine, and knew about the zoot suit riots. Mexican Americans tried, but couldn't get Freddie Fenders "Next Teardrop Falls", out of their heads.
We all agreed on Los Lobos.

Wait, I thought if you speak Spanish, you’re Spanish.

As long as you're a brown man, you're a Mexican
No mind your nationality
You have got the identity of an MexicanPlus, Brisket doesn't speak Spanish and he's a damn Spaniard.

Sorry if already mentioned, but shouldn't KW just ride the Olympic wave to victory? With all that breaking and Snoop/Dre shit, not to mention the beautiful women sprinters, this felt like the most black pride Olympics ever.
It really feels like in the last few years, black artists and athletes have solidified the way media views beauty and strength in this country.
I feel like from a policy standpoint I am a bit more progressive as I age, but in the short run, I want to be with the winners, and the winners feel like they are the mocha ones.

She just needs to not take the bait. I'd imagine her team is going to coach her over and over using his style of "debating". She'll be ready. She just needs to stay on message and pick her moments to expose his lies.
My mom used to go with the sure fire "all right for you" when faced with a bullshit response.

Harris should not debate unless there are fact-checkers.
Yep. There is really no reason to debate Trump other than if you calculate you will lose more by appearing the coward.
There should be no assumption she is going to "win" a shit show with that orange twat.

The Beatles Yellow Submarine Album, or soundtrack album, or narrated album...vinyl
in Music
Posted · Edited by The Original Greaser Bob
So I'm getting my grandson one of those standalone Crosley style suitcase record players. He's probably going to be 90% fascinated by the moving parts, 10% by the music (he's 3) but one song he likes is Yellow Submarine.
I should be able to figure this out on youtube or google but I'm coming up empty. Isn't there a kind of narrated version of the soundtrack that tells the story (or just with selected lines from the movie)? I'm not sure if that is just my imagination or what. But I can't seem to locate it, if such a vinyl disc exists.
