I tried to get into Maron's podcast but I just don't like it, not the style of podcast I like. But his role here and in GLOW are incredible. Perfect casting. I'm definitely a fan of his acting.

He's the one of the best interviewers ever.  Astoundingly good. He's great as an actor, certainly in his comfort zone.

None of his standup has ever caught my interest.

Episode 1, especially in the beginning, gave me a Blade Runner vibe.

The opening scene in the walkway to the club gave me an Amsterdam vibe.

Texas is a non-voting state and that's why our state leadership is so bad.

Every friend and family is good about voting.

Texas has lots of people that knee jerk Republican and making Texas a voting state will reflect that.

So have to get out the non-Red vote.

Given the willingness of people to be scared of brown caravans, this is still Pickett's/Faramir's Charge.

WTF? Why stop at 2 marching bands? How about another band for students with enough pride to refuse to wear those ugly ass clownsuits we make them wear today. How about another  band for students in favor of making the performances entertaining (think HBCU) rather than the bland ass shit our band plays? Fuck it, lets have 10 or 15 bands.

As long as the band "position" is we're playin the Eyes, if you dont want to join in, I guess find a different hobby. Or fuck, tell the band to never play the Eyes. Or just get rid of the band all together. Multiple bands sounds so fucking stupid, I'd expect it to originate in college station. this band fucks people, this band fucks only people in the corps, this band fucks sheep, this band fucks tree knots, etc....

  5. I guess an A for effort from director BL.  Overall a D just because jesus christ give me a break.

The That's All Right rehearsal/concert scene in Vegas was worth the whole movie though.  Great recreation and had great energy.

I'll chalk up Hanks being unwatchable to the the Col being so off-putting.

Listening to Keith Richard's Life on Audio.  He really loved Scotty Moore.
