  1. Both teams won national championships. The coaching staffs of both of those teams are no longer employed by those teams. Advantage: Texas
  2. Why? Logical, rational thought has no place here? Oh wait ... Duh ... I would have thought the fact that it is a recruiting board would have clued you in.
  3. Next seven days for Austin. Kill me now.
  4. The merging of Austin and San Antonio into one giant megalopolis comes one step closer .... https://www.kvue.com/article/money/economy/boomtown-2040/san-marcos-film-studio-zoning/269-fd05a1ae-7bde-471d-ad4b-1567836c2d60
  5. By November, 2024 it won't matter very much. Russia will have collapsed by then. The ruble is barely worth a penny now.
  6. Stew Peters is a real person. Gary Peterson is a parody account. Stew Peters is a piece of work and is currently being sued by the mayor of Lake Havasu: https://www.mohavedailynews.com/havasu-mayor-sheehy-sues-podcaster-stew-peters-over-drag-show-comments/article_012b80e1-2b2f-5eae-8db8-d4fe87715611.html
  7. I totally understand what you're saying, and YouTube is probably a hard nut to crack, but even Destiny had zero followers at one point in time. Same is true of MrBeast and all the rest of them. Rome wasn't built in a day, as they say. Now, understandably, even with the great reach of the University of Texas and its rabid sports followers, the potential market for Orangebloods and Rod Babers is going to be capped at a much smaller size than that of MrBeast or Destiny, since their potential markets are really the entire world, but it's all about building streams of income.
  8. Ben Stein has homes in Beverly Hills, Malibu, a summer home in Sandpoint, Idaho and an apartment in Washington D.C. and he's drawing analogies between the current situation in the U.S. to that of Nazi-occupied Paris.
  9. A couple of things: 1) I really like Rod Babers and willl listen from time to time. 2) YouTube can be incredibly profitable if you hit the right metrics. I was just listening to a creator named Destiny on to he Iced Coffee podcast and I really was blown away by the numbers. Presumably, Orangebloods and Babers have some sort of profit sharing arrangement. I hope it works out for Rod.
  10. Nadia is still looking good. I didn't realize she's married to Bart Connor.
  11. I'm kind of interested in the asbestos diapers, what with the heat wave were experiencing and all.
  12. Video of the aftermath of the last Surlyhorns tailgate
  13. Real Ale is far bigger than Altstadt. Independence is also larger and they brew right in Austin.
  14. I mean, I felt bad for laughing and I hope that the bear is okay but for the dude to say that just as he hits a #$&#$ bear .... I almost put it in the "News stories that remind you of Surly Horns" thread.
  15. I don't know if instagram videos automatically embed but this is worth clicking on if only for the dude's comment. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cr3iq2gJS90/
  16. Hank South said that Marcus Harris got to meet Chris Jackson and spend "time with him going over tape, particularly from Jackson’s time in the NFL." I'm thinking that must have been a pretty short tape session, since Jackson never caught a pass in the NFL.
  17. Her version of the old Irish classic The Foggy Dew with the Chieftains raises the hair on my head.
  18. But for whatever reason he doesn't seem to catch "big fish" like Three Year Letterman does. Letterman's of Stephen King and Stephen King acolytes the other day was awesome.
  19. Very good, Neonmoon. Do you have any stock recommendations? 😀
  20. Ivory Joe Hunter on the far right.
