  1. It appears he might be about to go through some things. https://twitter.com/Victorshi2020/status/1673344918536765445?s=20
  2. He's trying to oust Brent Venables so that he can take credit for ousting Brent Venables!
  3. Nevertheless, this is a huge challenge for a Russian military that's already facing one. Maybe Putin will embrace his old cook as the new head of the Russian military and all this goes away.
  4. Holy crap ... it appears to be total anarchy ... infighting between the Wagner group and the Soviet Military is getting serious. Prigzohen, the leader of Wagner, claims the Russians have attacked his forces. https://www.nytimes.com/live/2023/06/23/world/russia-ukraine-news Meanwhile Moscow is accusing Prigzohen of urging "armed mutiny." https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-66005256 Success has many fathers, but failure is an orphan. This is an indication that the Russians know that Ukraine is going to end in failure, just as Afghanistan did.
  5. I prefer brisket drip as a band name. The news re: Dom. Mckinley is awesome, if true. He appears to be the truly elite player that our DL currently. lacks.
  6. I don't know if it qualifies as a "news" story that reminds you of Surly, but here's a YouTube video of an alligator found dead with an erect penis. Somehow, I thought it should go in this thread. It reminded me of Surly.
  7. Is that Gary P. Nunn with Hondo?
  8. Never wrestle with a pig. You both get dirty and the pig likes it.
  9. Just watched his HUDL highlights again. He appears to be very fast. I like fast. Fast is good. Does anybody know how fast he is? I searched for 100m times for him and didn't find any.
  10. Pittsburgh Pirates team bus driver arrested for DUI while driving the team to a game https://www.whiskeyriff.com/2023/06/17/pittsburgh-pirates-bus-driver-arrested-for-dui-while-driving-the-team-to-a-game/
  11. No doubt. It was a well-lit night and I guess his pupils were the size of saucers but what he said really got to him was the sound of their breathing when they hit the water's surface.
  12. A German friend of mine went out to Hawaii to visit another friend who was getting his PHD in ocean something-or-other out there. On New Year's Eve they dropped acid and went to float around in a lagoon to watch some fireworks as they floated around on their tubes. Some humpback whales came into the lagoon to feed. They were breaching all around my friends. My German friend was freaking out but my other friend said "relax, they know exactly where we are." This went on for a couple of hours as they were floating around. German friend still says it was one of the most incredible experiences of his life.
  13. I've been doing some work on a ranch near San Ygnacio recently. I thought about going down there next week so I checked the 10-day forecast. 116 degrees. And we're still in June!
