  1. I like em. And I not close to scratch. Been playing one degree closed for a while. I also bought a PXG five wood last year and haven't mesed with it yet but going to loft it down to 4 wood and drop my 3 wood. Read a lot of the better golfers are dropping 3 wood with todays ball technology. 4 or 5 wood gets more height and almost same distance since technology keeps ball in air longer
  2. Trying again because edit timed out I am trying to match Iris Blue. Every one present was slightly different and every owner said they matched the original paint by using a section that doesn't vhange - behind dash etc. This one was a very special model. They had a racing version but the general population kept blowing the engine so they created a special version with all the race stuff but the standard engine. Only a couple hundred were ever made

  4. Went to Memphis for the MGA National Convention. Lots of MGA's - they made over 100,000 so a lot still run. However this event has some higher end ones. Lines of cars Some came in trailers and some had trailers
  5. Coming in late and trying to understand what happened. It looks like the tide was underestimated and you had to make your own way out? others were not so lucky? If correct - how did you mis judge the tide so bad? i thought you were a frequent visitor there
  6. That look outstanding. Too late now but hopefully you put some black plastic down to cut back on future weeds
  7. One the subject of shots to win Open - almost no one remembers Jerry Pate's approach. they might remember his pants however also the shot by Pavin on 18 to clinch the Open gets mentioned but he did miss the putt
  8. A is the correct answer. Most people have no idea how darn good that shot was. As background - final round of US Open and slim lead. The wind is absolutely crazy off the ocean. He hits the pin and 2 inches away to seal the Open
  9. Teen takes tank to prom with flaming unicycle Darth Vader in front. Some of people makes an entrance
  10. At college in Birmingham there was one that showed XXX stuff. No idea how they kept the teenagers from hiding nearby
  11. Might try here https://www.jeepforum.com/forums/jeep-grand-cherokee-commander-forums.115/
  12. I have a lot of stuff similar to items mentioned 1. Two HP41C calculators - 1984. 2. High school track spikes - unusual item. Nike Americas from 1970s. A pair was offered by Sothby's for something like 4K 3. Any of my record albums from 70's. I do have the very rare Buckingham Nicks album. Never made it to CD for some contractual issues 4. High school letter jacket
  13. Not a Philistine but I was at that game. 11am kickoff and it was hot as blazes. Only loss of the year
  14. That harness looks like every owner screwed around with tapping into it. New harness is a great idea.
  15. I posted this but the shop has compared card 4 to two different, never been painted original cars and it matches. My problem is that is doesn;t seem to match what was called original in 80's
  16. The ability to only edit for 2-3 minutes stinks. The problem is not really trying to get 1960 version but to get what I thought the 1960 version was. I really liked the color we used in 80's and it may be a match. But the samples (4) don't seem to be the same as the picture from the 80's
  17. Apparently i went past the time to edit. (1) is 1979 VW Florida Blue which is supposed to be an exact match for Iris Blue. (4) is Iris Blue using todays paint. It also may be correct. The shop manager has a 1960 MG in Iris Blue that has never been painted and a triumph in his shop that has never been painted. He swears (4) is a match using hidden spots like inside trunk etc. he also sent me this piece that was cut of my car and buffed down to to show what the paint was that dad used.
  18. I have seen that chart multiple times and a few others. Also i appreciate the website you linked but I have been there too. The issue isn't that I didn't want to post but that everyone sees things different on different computers. And the issue really is not that I don't know what I want. But here goes with pictures. The car is a 1962 MGA. Here is my twin in early 80's. Both were same color - Iris Blue. Dad took his trunk lid to PPG store and matched the inside so it's close to how it was originally painted. Not quite the same as paint chart above Here are the two plates the shop sent back
  19. and it's time to choose the "correct" shade of Iris Blue for my MGA. The shop sent 3 samples and I am not sure any are what I remember the car being. I asked if we could take a time out until June when the national MGA club meets in Memphis. I could drive over and compare a lot easier. On the other hand no one knows exactly what the shade of Iris Blue was 60 years ago. Most paint codes have changed and the original was methyl cellulose based.
  20. Good ole Lucas - inventor of intermittent wiper. Corporate motto - be home before dark
  21. So you are digging the masterpiece for no reason other you wanted to? Have you considered some products from our new sponsor instead of manual labor?
  22. Could we get just a little more detail on this issue
  23. Growing up in Huntsville we had Picadilly and Britlings cafeterias. One of the Britlings was next door to the largest Baptist church. More than one other church played the BBB game - a minister described it as - we end the sermon at 10:45 to Beat the Baptists to Britlings.
  24. Just tossing out that the head of Apple went to Auburn. No idea if that changes anything or not in terms of getting SEC.
