  1. especially clones of the wrong Eleanor... Not to be "that guy" but the real Eleanor is a 71 fastback from the original movie.
  2. Just put a baseball card in the spokes - old school sound
  3. TriStone - that picture is a little ways past the line. You might consider an edit.
  4. Not sure I don't agree with you but, again, the wild card which isn't on the chart is the penalty which moved kickoff back to 20. I think (key word - not putting money on it) that they didn;t want a returned 2 point conversion and then a short field for a fg. Or as I said above - they had no clue.
  5. only reason I can think is long odds. Up by 5 but if the other team intercepts and runs it back its a 2 point play and up by 3 and kickoff from 20 so they have a chance to get into FG range. Or the coaching staff can't figure it out very well
  6. Kinda like classic cars. I would love to find a restored to "like it left factory" Aristocraft 19. We had one growing up an loved it. basically a small shop in georgia did a fiberglass version of the wooden Chris Craft ski boat and added a removable hard top. We took ours everywhere to scuba dive - like 20 miles out in the gulf or Atlantic Ocean. I actually found 4 or 5 of them around the Austin area but they were not in great shape
  7. I was at that game and darn near died from the heat.
  8. This..... It's the same as dealing with upper management that wants to "add value" to a situation. Not going to turn out well and they are gone when it implodes
  9. I did 30 years with IBM. You would not believe the number of rules and guidelines I had to follow in terms of using that logo. And since I was customer facing I dealt with it for years. In addition, at one point, we were required to proof check all our presentations for trademark and registered trademark designations. My main presentation was over 1000 (yep 1000 charts) since I used hotlinks to jump around. Customers never saw but 50-70 charts but I had a lot of them to check
  10. Dang - figured the offseason was over.. I didn't mind it until i saw the view on the helmet. Warming up the torch and looking for a pitchfork
  11. Burger King was my high school summer job so I still like them. Plus here in North Alabama I get tons of coupons for buy one get one free so it's also a price performer. No idea on nuggets but I still like the Whopper.
  12. I had a lot of WW2 planes and ships but also had a balsa wood biplane that took a huge amount of time to build. It had some sort of paper that covered it and you had to cut and paste every bit of it. probably took 2-3 weekends to do the whole plane and house smelled like glue
  13. and if you didn't bundle a gazillion useless channels I might care. Give me ala carte now and let me pay only for the 20-30 channels I want.
  14. Not correct on the lifetime part. Growing up in Huntsville I knew several families affected by a NASA layoff. May have been true in Houston but everywhere.
  15. I like some of the retro styling like Mustang and especially Challenger - however I really wish someone would scrap the idea that the front and rear have to be plastic and go full retro with chrome bumpers. And i know it ain't gonna happen because of CAFE and pedestrian safety but I absolutely hate plastic ends on cars.
  16. It was also cool to order what you wanted not what they wanted to sell. A lot of under 30 folks might not know/realize that you could take the order list and pick and choose what you wanted. Dad didn't do this on his early 70's Camaro but someone wanted a V8, white seats, auto with shifter on column, AC and I think something like power locks and vinyl top.
  17. More - I spent too much time arranging and could not edit Yep - it was related to NASA The British came strong This was the an MGA similar to mine except it is almost perfect. Also the first one I have seen in Dove Grey b Several others Mustangs Chevy's Just for Mother Mopar and finally I mentioned the NASA bumper decal required to get on post and how people held onto cars with low numbers
  18. I mentioned there was a Saturn V Rocket nearby. This is actually a replica- the real one is inside The British came strong

  21. Well here goes - sorry (not really) for the bandwidth but I did shrink the pics. This was the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11 Car Show at the Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville. Probably 75-100 cars and it was hot as blazes. As an aside the director of the Space and Rocker Center gave a little speech about a car she had bought from a NASA manager. It was a family that my parents knew since the 60's. They lived together on same neighborhood in Ft Worth and moved the Huntsville with NASA at the same time in early 60's. I grew up knowing them forever. The manager also was one of the longest serving at NASA that I knew - I think he was there for almost 50 years. Pictures- I mentioned it was in shadow of Saturn V - this is actually a replica. The real one is inside
  22. Heading out the 50th anniversary of Apollo car show in Huntsville. It will literally be in shadow from the Saturn 5 at Space and Rocker center. Supposed to be a sampling of cars from that era - which is much better than a sampling of cars driven by the actual rocket scientists. Most of them gave the nice car to the wife and their selection was always a little odd because they were engineers. Plus it was a pecking order with original NASA access badges that were like bumper stickers on the front and rear bumpers. Early employees had very low numbers (like 000010) and some people kept cars for years because they had a very low number access badge.
  23. Can we turn it off? Way too busy
  24. Is there a way to not have the ticker? Too much info
  25. This is correct. I knew some people who have separate passports for different Middle East coountries for this reason. And no idea how easy it is now to get a faked passport but I suspect if you have a lot of money it is not difficult
