  1. and that is getting more difficult on new cars. My Lexus has somehow integrated the emergency brake into the maintenance system so you need a Lexus computer to disengage it during a brake job
  2. My potato is 14" laptop with 1920
  3. Featured products sidebar is still grabbing about 25% of my laptop screen.
  4. well they also had Lemon twist with the Mod Top. That was out there also. A good friend in high school had a Cuda with it. He raised all sort of mess in it - like it couldn't be identified. Probably was only one yellow Cuda with that roof in the entire state.
  5. I know the 60's were full of crazy stuff but a Panther Pink car just doesn't do it for me.
  6. over/under 5 million. I'll take over
  7. Rocking the early 90's IBM classic keyboard. have a couple from Austin IBM surplus store. They go for a lot on the bay. Easily the best keyboard I have ever used.
  8. I am following your logic but here goes.. I absoutely have outdoor rated cords. I can't see anything drawing that many amps. The splitter will have a single line going to the refrig. The second line off the splitter goes to my cable modem, router etc. Thats is it for the splitter. The TV and any other stuff uses the two standard 3 prong ports. That still leaves me a thrid unused connection off the splitter. What condition would cause more than 20A?
  9. I think what i wanted got over complicated. By splitting the 30 amp I just meant two lines - not 15/15. This actually did it perfectly and 3 ways https://www.homedepot.com/p/Voltec-Generator-Adapter-04-00215/206699604 Tested over the weekend. Ran refridg on one line, washer on another and some small stuff on third line. No issues. Only issue was the instructions - I hate the "idiot proof" instructions that are drawings with no words. A picture of a funnel means to put oil in etc. Only thing I would improve would be a power guage to show how much power is being used. No idea if I was pulling 1000 watts or 2000. Pretty sure it wasn't more than that with only a few items but would like to know
  10. How do get to the point of actually typing. Every website I seem to go to has a slightly delayed pop up that stops you from entering anything until you close it - Sign in Google, 10% off for allowing emails etc.
  11. Fortunately Huntsville, Al is not on ERCOT's grid. I am not planning for 10 days but want to keep the TV and refrig working for 1-2. I can't do anything thru the breaker box. I am in a historic/older neighborhood and my breaker box is early 1970's. Perfectly legal but wiring anything into it will probably require a new box. I priced that out at 10 grand a couple of years ago because I still have a few older circuits that don't meet new codes.
  12. yeah i want more cords going into the house. The thought is to split the 30 amp two ways - one to refrig and one for microwave/coffee maker. That leaves 2 other cords for lights, computers etc
  13. Unless someone talks me out of it - this is on sale for 699.00 in store at Costco. https://www.costco.com/firman-3200w-running--4000w-peak-dual-fuel-inverter-generator.product.100843922.html Another question - I need some sort of cable/gender bender etc to allow me to attach 110 volt cords to the generator's RV port. Any recommendations here?
  14. Looking to get one for power outages. The inverter (not inverted :)) have dropped enough to look at. Not trying to do the whole house - just refrigerator and various electronics. Inverters are supposed to be better for electronics. Looking for opinions on around 4000 watt. Sams has a nice Champion dual fuel for under 500 bucks. If you have a traditional generator can you add an inline UPS to help prevent damage to phone/computers etc.
  15. Before I moved back I swore I would not buy anything that came thru Gulf States again. I waited and got my 01 4Runner without too much junk (vin etching on windows for the win) but it just wasn't worth my effort to get a truck after a ccouple of episodes
  16. I don't have any date to support this but guessing that any future trade in of those will be limited.
  17. It's been said before but here goes - Callaway preowned is your best friend here. Reasonable prices and lots of sales plus trade in down the line
  18. You can get a "conforming" version. I have lob and sand in the eye2 mold but with updated grooves. hard to type this without saying legal or illegal and those terms don't apply.
  19. Still have a full set on "non conforming" eye-2's upstairs in the attic. I actually met Karsten once during a tour of Ping plant in 90's. He asked if anyone was an engineer and I raised my hand since I was. Can't remember what we talked about but spent about 5 minutes chatting on the floor.
  20. Well the sixties had a lot of drugs. Looks like some them made it to GM ad department
  21. I am thinking they have to. Hilton changed the point game a lot in the past few years but I think one of the changes was they had to offer a standard room at standard points and that was 60K. On the website it also had a delux room for 580,000.
  22. YES!!!!!!! Tuesday practice round. May have booked hotel. Hilton wanted 1200 bucks for Hampton on Washington but it also showed up as 60,000 points. I played around and don't think it was an error. Other Hiltons nearby had similar rates and similar points. Grabbed it and got confirmation email
  23. Prior to early 1980's there were no minimum requirements for conference games. No idea why but there weren't. As an example Auburn played 5 or 6 in 1970 and 71 and then 8 in 1972. In 1972 the only loss was to LSU and Auburn only played LSU like once a decade back then. Alabama played nine that year. There were no rules on how many or who you played. SEC champion was winning percentage. Still mad about 1972. Auburn was 7-1 and beat Alabama. Alabama was 8-1 because they usually added an extra game and they "won" the SEC with a better percentage.
