yea he would have ripped all their heads off at half

I actually think he'd be killing his assistants, because when the kids simply couldn't do it, he'd go after the coaches for it.  The lack of adjustments right now is the killer.  Our big guys up front can't block their quick guys.

That also, means nothing.  The great thing about college ball is the level of unpredictability.  The appreciable level of difference between teams isn't all that great, with rare exception.  Even then, a team loaded with talent can have a bad one, or just flat be out played by an undermanned squad.

They were both massively overrated, but I was just looking at top 25 matchups. And A&M was favored in that game.

Being favored only means Vegas had to tease a line to get people to bet on it equally, in week one.  That means jack and shit.

The most recent playoff had 2 current big ten teams beat 2 current sec teams.

Both of those team were gutted by turnover since then so it’s not applicable to this year but the SEC being the best by quit a bit is pretty laughable.

The SEC has had 4 real tests this season and they’re 2-2 in them. UGA over Clemson and Texas over UM today were both strong statements but probably more indictments of the current state of Clemson and UM. LSU and A&M both shit the bed in grand fashion.

but more to my point, 2 weeks into the new conference and you’re already millimeters away from tiger droppings levels of conference pumping.

I'd say its a real stretch to have A&M as a bellwether for a marquee game, but that's me.  (Perhaps LSU as well, but less of a stretch).

    LSU up 16-14 against Nicholls.

That, seemingly, is always a tough game for LSU because for the Nichols kids it's sort of their Super Bowl.  They normally seem to at least give them a tough half.

Bama hula guy with a Horns Down cap on while they struggle with USF? I normally root for the Tide but apparently they're rent free now just like aggy

You do realize they are the South Florida Bulls, right?

Not saying it's exactly innovative or anything.

Bama struggling early. South Florida just missed a wide open touchdown.

No one cares. Don't start this shit.

Yeah, they did.  The perils of playing freshmen db's, he thought he had over the top safety help and let him go, only no one was there, very lucky for us.

at some point I really think we - as in The President We- need to absolutely flex on Putin (and by extension, the world).

and just flat out tell them we know where every single one of their ships and subs are at any moment.  and then literally tell the world that "as of 800 Zulu Time on Sept 20th 2024 here are the locations, depths and activities of every. single. Russian. ship. on. the. planet.

and fucking drop a list on them like the size of a john holmes masterpiece.... and then to REALLLY fuck with them put an asterix at the bottom of the list and say that we PUPRPOSELY mislisted 3 ships on this list.... we know their location is wrong as of 800 Zulu, but we absolutely know where they are.....

and if you keep fucking with the worlds internet cables or communications, we will just order a mass strike  in a 10 minute period that sinks every last mother fucking russian ship on the planet that isnt in the Black Sea (since we cant actually get into there with the Bosphorus closed).

I mean... that would be an absolute flop your dick out on the table move.    and by us giving all the actual locations (well except for the 3 purposely wrong ones).... that fucks with their minds.... especially just in case we actually did miss a boat, that gives them pause and they still think, holy fucking shit... they literally know where all our ships actually are right now...

I honestly believe that if we just publicly announced a get the fuck out date, and made sure that average Russians had access to the message, well over half the Russian Army would desert, including most of the officers.  The officers damn well know they haven't seen shit compared to the thunder we'd bring, and even the dumbest deep down know that as well.

In order to pull this sort of flex though, it can't be a bluff.

It makes perfect sense, because…and follow me here…local law enforcement in the US is a criminal enterprise. They act solely in their own interest. They act as if laws do not apply to them (and they’re mostly right). Contempt for the rule of law and for their fellow Americans? The FOP and Trump are cut from the same cloth.

It's more than they are just a band of criminals in their own right, they are collectively scared for their jobs, as they should be.  I looked it up the other day, and in the county were I live, population around 300k, between the Sheriff's department, and all the individual cities with their own departments, we have at least 4,000 cops.  Mind you this isn't Texas with huge counties or anything like that, it's not even a large county by Georgia standards.  4,000!  Mind you, crime here is pretty low, mainly the garden variety DUI, some shoplifting, and drug arrests.

We have our own SWAT team, with tanks and bullshit it's fucking ridiculous.  A few months ago, a guy in a neighborhood across the street had a mental health breakdown, the SWAT showed up, and the end result was that the SWAT team burned the house down  They of course, were hailed as heroes that saved the day by the local  media.  Those of us nearby were baffled.  They came in like cowboys on tank, shot explosive tear gas into a house, and of course it burned to the ground.  I'm sure that was a big fucking help to the guy in the midst of mental health crisis.

I can't wait for us to legalize drugs and ditch most of these idiots.  Right now I would encourage anyone to just do a quick search in your own county to figure out just how many cops you have, I think you will be surprised.  I know I more or less live in a police state, and I'm betting you do as well.

Randomness: John John once played in our Ultimate Frisbee pickup game in Central Park on the Great Lawn. His girlfriend at the time, Darryl Hannah, watched from the sidelines. A weird man came up and wouldn’t leave her alone, demanding to take her picture. The guys playing in the game came over and told the man to leave, or they would beat the living crap out of him. He left.

You didn't go looking for him in Dealey Plaza a few years ago, did you?

Maybe @PTINS gets to see more stuff burn.

This doesn't make much sense for a railroad depot unless it had a helluva lot of fuel right at the depot (it seemed like they kept the tanks away), or there was ammo being loaded.

Or they hit the oil depot near the railroad.

I read thru translation that there is some sort of plastics manufacturing right next to this area as well.  It immediately made me think of when the crackhead here in Atlanta burned down the freeway a few years ago by catching that on fire (it was plastics for underground fiber optic cable being stored by AT&T under the overpass).  Bottom line, that shit burned so hot the fire department had no choice but essentially let it burn out on its own.

I always say that if you want an unrestricted 2nd Amendment, it means that you care more about your big dick toys than you do about other people's kids making it home to dinner.  There's no rationalizing that fact away, so just own it.  Guns make you feel so powerful and safe that you're willing to live with the tiny chance that the worst happens to someone you know, and fuck everybody else.

This is an unwell country.  And I'm afraid we're still in the early days of the illness.

These gun nuts are mostly pussies that are terrified of their own shadows.  They are scared, small minded people.

Typo in that dumbass's post.  That gives me a real "Trans Am" vibe.  Think of how much better we'd all be had his dad given him a vintage Trans Am and a Dio CD instead of an AR.

That ride just looks like it should be barring "Holy Diver" on repeat, sort of as a feature of the vehicle.

Imagine if what is going on here happened in Iran, for example.

Iranian politicians running ads with their partner and children all proudly holding automatic weapons. Vigorously defending their gun rights while Iranian children get mowed down in schools by other Iranian students on a consistent basis.

You know exactly what Republicans and MAGA would call the Iranian people. "Animals."

People on the right have completely lost the plot. I don't know what can be done.

Well, for one, we could start interpreting the Constitution as originalists and quickly determine that the 2nd amendment doesn't give people the right to bare arms, but rather militias (what constitutes a militia allowed to do so would make a compelling legal question, but I digress).  I'm just fucking certain the current originalists on the court will stay consistent on their originalist beliefs.

Back in reality, we have to win elections, over and over and over.  We have to force compromise with the gun nuts.  This isn't going to be easy, and it's going to be a very long fight.

I just watched Doug Emhoff on Kimmel.  He's been hidden behind the scenes during the Biden Presidency, for good reasons, but holy shit it's nice to see normal, decent, smart, funny human beings supporting our elected officials.  Not that Vance's wife is a psycho (narrator: she is) or that Melania Trump is disinterested, pissed off, and AWOL (narrator: she is).

Between Harris, Walz, and their spouses I am supremely confident that our country will be in good hands if the vote just gets out.

I agree, however we will still have soulless ghouls like Mitch McConnell running around, so we will still have to combat him and people of his ilk.  This isn't a one off battle, it's going to be a long fight if we want real change.  (Though I will say, the day McConnell turns room temperature, I'm not lowering my flag to half mast, I'm going to double the flag pole size and fly Old Glory as high as I can).
