it's crazy to think how many people around the world are losing sleep over this election. so many lives are at stake in this election, here and worldwide. hope we win.

I haven't seen @YChang post in a bit, but I'm curious to know the mood in Taiwan (I thought I read that he was there).  Apologies in advance if I have that wrong.  I would think they nervous as shit.

I can't imagine the nerves of the Ukrainians, Poles, Latvians, Estonians, etc.

One of the things I saw earlier was that she hasn't repeatedly (that I can recall) brought up being the first woman president.  Or to use that as a reason to vote for her.

Hillary talked about it a lot.  Yeah, her nomination was historic, but my god, her campaign did not shut up about it.

I think it was a wise move to stick the the issues of the day, and not all the precedent breaking.

I don't see the evidence for Kamala giving up on rural voters anyway. I have seen several pitches to them during her campaign by both Kamala and Walz.

But this is the second time I have heard this nonsense about Kamala going all in on women and ignoring everybody else. I haven't seen a single speech or campaign event she has done that was specifically for women only while I have seen several directed to rural voters.

During the Falcons game this week (no salt in wound intended) on the radio she had ads geared towards farmers.

  4. Kennesaw State is in Cobb County, enrollment 30k

Alexandra Son (right) and Anna Brown (left), both 18-year-old first-time voters from Kennesaw State University, turned out to the polls driven by personal stakes in this election.

Son, concerned for the future of women’s rights, spoke passionately about wanting a safer and more united America.

“I have gone through things that in the Supreme Court they overturned, so it was more of a thing of, like, the safety of me, my little sisters, my future daughters,” she said, citing her immigrant family and the importance of humane policies in her voting decisions.

Reflecting on past elections, Son recalled feeling powerless as a fifth-grader watching the 2016 election unfold.

“I was sitting on the couch, and my parents were, like, screaming… I was like, damn, I wish I was 18 and I could actually vote and do something about it… This election is nerve-wracking, but it’s special because we could have our first woman president and have someone speak for us.”

Brown, also feeling the weight of this election, explained that for her and many in her generation, it’s about preserving women’s rights she’s always known to have.

Studying environmental science, Brown is particularly concerned about climate change and sees it as an urgent priority.

“It’s something that needs more attention, and the fact Harris even talks about it means a lot,” she said, expressing hope for leadership that takes climate issues seriously.

I mean, this thread DOES move fast, and I did post before I read your last post. That being said, everything helps.

It's actually interestingly counter intuitive, but state wide a low turn out would actually be in our favor in a big way.  Obviously we don't want that in Clayton, Cobb, Dekalb, Fulton, and Gwinnett.  However, beyond that, it would be great news.  Getting actual turnout out of Atlanta is shit today, so nothing on Lamar County with it's 1200 votes, as you can imagine.

turnout not good in GA numbers wise for Kamala

Not at all surprising to me.  With only 8.3% of the EV vote being prior day of, which tracks very Republican, it stands to reason that election day turnout would skew R.  But at the same time, it also matters where this is happening.  Gwinnett County was 30k over expected as of a couple of hours ago.  Projected numbers on turnout overall for today are sparse, but I'm looking for more.  Part of the issue that makes tracking this difficult for anyone beyond the state is places like Dekalb County that have over 100 polling locations.  I wouldn't get too up in arms over this, because the data right now, either way is by and large guess work, and people certainly have an agenda.  I read earlier we will start to get SOS updates around 5.  All I've seen to this point was that as of noonish more than 500k had voted.
