  1. I'm not suggesting you should, just telling you that deriving info about us from that group, isn't a very representative way to look at us. There are several goons with strong ties to Texas, now imagine I lumped all of you in with that? I don't think you'd take kindly to it (nor should you), nor would you feel it's overly representative of what you guys are about. (I definitely don't that think, by the way).
  2. The schools themselves are actually by and large fairly progressive places, at least by the standard of comparing them SEC rant (which is a plague of stupid). The student body, and much of the alumni aren't what's on that board, its our sidewalk fans that are the absolute worst. Tuscaloosa, for example, is actually a pretty strong democrat area, and while there is certainly a strong conservative base that exists on campus and around it, it's not that bad. Is it Atlanta, no, but is it as bad as the knuckle draggers on that board make it appear, absolutely not. Other SEC schools that I've been to are along the same lines. We have our share of idiots, no doubt, but so does everyone.
  3. If I'm retreating like this, I'm packing every building along the way with Semtex and wiring it radio detonate at the right times. I'm killing as many as possible as they seek shelter.
  4. Get the Russians to over-extend their advance, then have the mud hit, and destroy the supply lines, sounds like a pretty good plan.
  5. I think the appeal is simply that these people are losers, and I don't mean that because they can't win at golf or any other type of competition athletic or otherwise. They are losers because they can't accept responsibility for their own actions or decisions that have put them in a cycle of misery. This is a consistent theme for not just MAGA people but Republicans in general; there is always someone else to blame, it's never their fault. These are people without the ability of self reflection or introspection. If they have a car accident, suddenly, it's the Federal Government's fault, never mind the fact that you ran a stop sign an hit a truck. This is the kind of thinking we are dealing with. These are people that blame everyone but themselves for their lot in life, as if they aren't active participants in their own lives. Which by the way, lets face it, most American's live a pretty decent existence, the fact of the matter as many of us are ingrates. At the end of the day, this doofus appeals to these people because he, like them, thumb's his nose at reality, blames everyone and everything for any of his problems, and never takes any accountability for his actions whatsoever. In a sense, he's the doofus loser super "hero" that they all aspire to be. Winning isn't really done on a field, course, or any other venue, it's done thru learning and improving yourself.
  6. I'm interested in changing my screen name to Blast Hardcheese, and perhaps my legal name.
  7. Shit, if Biden is running that good, you think the sumbitch can tackle? We have secondary depth issues.
  8. Anyone that has ever played any level of golf, doesn't even have to be particularly a high level, can take one look at his swing and pretty well correctly guess that he is about a 20 handicap (there are huge problems with it, which will never allow for consistency). The statistical odds of a 20 handicapper beating a scratch golfer are about 1 in 100,000. The odds of him doing against 20 plus golfers in a single one round tournament would be in the billions, the odds of him doing multiple times in a row would escalate into the trillions if not greater. It's beyond ridiculous.
  9. He only has what three weeks before he can dump, right?
  10. I don't think you should be judging the orientation of the map, that's it's business.
  11. That chute seemed to open very low to the ground, if the pilot made it, I don't think he will be on Dancing with the Stars anytime soon.
  12. It's really nice of the Russian people (or so it would seem) to provide open source Intel for everyone.
  13. One of the interesting reveals in the past few weeks was how a Ukrainian special ops group was able to infiltrate into Kursk, and quite literally pull a Dirty Dozen war game move, switched arm bands and captured an area. The thought that they couldn't figure a way around the existing lines to pull something like this off isn't out of the question. The Russians appear to have very little in the way of internal security to deal with this.
  14. It's not weird at all, every guy like's to stick 69 into as many conversations as possible.
  15. Crypto bro gets conned by a little Frenchman. You can't make this shit up.
  16. Polaris Dawn mission delayed for a second time, this time due to unfavorable weather conditions on projected splash down. The mission itself seems more like a billionaire's thrill ride, but there is science being done, so cool. Part of the mission includes passing thru the Van Allen belts, which did get me thinking. Invariably, be it to the Moon, Mars, or anywhere else into deep space, one the challenges we face is radiation. We are shielded here, thanks to the Earth's magnetism and part of that is the Van Allen belt (at least as I understand it). So I've read stuff that indicates that one potential barrier to radiation we could use is a wet suit (or poop shield) to combat the radiation. That seems fine during transit, but what will we do when the time comes to attempt to colonize? For example, I don't think you could poop shield an entire base on the moon. I realize that you could initially go underground as a solve, but eventually you are going to do some level of surfacing terraforming. I just wonder what sort of magnetic field we would need to generate to protect an area of that size, and if it is even within our technical grasp. If anyone knows anything about this, I'd be interested in learning.
  17. Ya'll should really stop shitting on a guy that can give us an eye witness account to the original Crimean War.
  18. Its bad in the sense that any element of surprise and ground elimination of air frames is gone, but at the same time, it also indicates the Russians now believe the US is going to give permission, so I guess that is good. Additionally, as you mentioned towards lack of refueling capability, it increases the response time the Ukrainians have to any air attacks, presumably. Also, the further that Russian aviation is strained, the more likely they lose aircraft simply from use and lack of maintenance. I'd love to see their entire Air Force wiped out in one fell swoop, but that was never happening anyway.
  19. Or show of some of their own sweet break dance fighting moves. My hunch is that the Belarussian's will deploy to the Kursk front, the reason being that they won't be technically in an offensive portion or the war, but rather coming to defense of their "allies". Plus, I'm betting that the Belarussian border to Ukraine at this point is one of the deadliest minefields in the world at the moment.
  20. From what I've read, this is where a @South Austin mom joke goes, right?
  21. That makes a hell of lot more sense. Nonetheless, any advantage we can give them, I'll take it.
  22. Of course there is a crypto bro element to all this
