  1. No mention on the condition of the family truckster? In all seriousness, best possible outcome, glad to hear it.
  2. No idea who this guy is or his bonafides, but I sure hope he's a regular Kreskin.
  3. This guy was gonna use his air compressor, trust me, and yes I know the difference.
  4. If you think you hate it now, wait til you drive it.
  5. I once had an HVAC guy tell me he needed to clean out the condensate line with nitrogen and made it sound very technical. "Oh, you mean compressed air?" Asshole.
  6. Bare in mind, Russia's Defense budget is approximately 84 billion, so this morning cost them near 2% of that.
  7. So... what ego driven award could we lure Elon to France with?
  8. Kind of sort Death Pool related, but apparently Mariah Carey had both her Mom and sister die on the same day over the weekend. Perhaps she's become friendly with @Nicole44?
  9. My guess is they will send a bunch of tankers to Rostov to send it to Iran and back. Should make for plenty of shits and giggles when those get blown up as well. I hope the Ukrainian DJ's can mix in "Smoke on the Water".
  10. I get your frustration with people painting with a broad brush around intelligence and baseball. Obviously, this notion doesn't apply across the board, as evidenced by some of your former team mates and yourself. I would, however, point out that there is such a thing as baseball IQ, and that doesn't necessarily translate to traditional IQ. A couple of examples, just off the top of my head are Johnny Damon and Chipper Jones, two guys that could definitely play, and were baseball smart, but lets face it, they aren't going to win any academic bowls. Chipper is on Atlanta radio a lot, and when it comes to baseball, he's got great insight, beyond baseball, oh boy. The bigger reason to me though, as to why baseball is being considered in this light is this explosion of the travel baseball, it's culture, and the notorious baseball dad. What you are winding up with, is 11 year olds playing a major league schedule and being in an echo chamber where baseball becomes everything. This isn't healthy, and I've got news for all the baseball dads out there, it's not helping your kids chances. At a certain point, it comes down to the fact that either you have talent or don't, and while some display promise at these younger ages, the amount of energy solely devoted to this pursuit at that age is ridiculous. What has developed around the sport is a culture that foregoes almost everything else (including balanced focus on academics) in favor of baseball, and this isn't healthy at all. Basically, you've got hundreds of thousands of Marv Marinovich's out there psychotically pushing their kids, it's not gonna turn out well for them. I don't have a son, but if I did, I would not at all allow him to be in this sort of environment. It's important for people to have exposure to lots of different sports, activities, and pursuits (to include academics), especially at a young age. Perhaps parsing things down at an older age, say 16 or so makes sense, but the current psychotic nature of what is going on in youth sports in general is out of fuck control.
  11. Just remember, a couple of years ago, this guy played in a KHL all star game as a defenseman.
  12. It won't be very long before drones are everywhere here, making deliveries and what not; and of course the world will follow suit. I've read that Walmart is already testing it, I believe in Dallas. Whenever this makes it's way to Russia, and eventually it will, for whoever survives this, how could that not be triggering? I'm sure many of the Ukrainian vets will struggle like hell with this, however, I get the sense that the Ukrainians will actually make an effort to help their people, whereas the Russians, highly doubtful.
  13. I'd wondered what happened to Mark Mangino Lukashenko looking fit and fiddle anyway.
  14. Nice Double Tap in this one, so much for your cope cage
  15. The rats are already on the run, gonna be interesting to see how many others we suddenly see. You have to think there are lots of people in the western world very worried about what is about to come about, and they are puckering. I'm not at all going to be surprised if in the next few days we get a few tidbits about arrests for people trying to get to Dubai.
  16. The Shaheeds, at least the generation, are slow flyers, I don't think they eclipse more more than 100 mph. I've read that Iran, in concert with Russia, is attempting to build jet versions of them, but I haven't seen any info indicating that they are deployed. Looks like the Ukrainians may have beaten them to the punch.
  17. Rapidly becoming clear that this is a defection, while a formal arrest, in name only. This guy has correctly determined that whatever shade he felt he had from Putin was dwindling and in the end wasn't going to end well for him.
  18. It's fucking amazing that it now appears that not only do the Russian's have no secure communications on the field of battle, but also they appear to have nothing on the espionage front as well. If the arrest figure is real, a big if, that's just the start, there is going to be a either a mass arrest across Europe (and potentially here) as well, or a mass exodus of Russian espionage. Just wild.
  19. Pretty cool, I've not seen this kind of footage before
  20. Their artillery is using Telegram for targeting. Simply stunning.
  21. Well, the tell tell to me was the part where he disintegrated.
