  1. Richard Simmons was an American original. I'm sure he had profit in mind, but he genuinely seemed to want to help people. Certainly not one of those I would wish to be gone.
  2. Don't forget a Fire Department, police and other emergency services. I'm really excited about the prospect of going back to for profit fire fighting. Should be just aces!
  3. So word is that the Ukrainian F16s have been spotted by Russians over Odessa, with the thought being that they are being flown out of Romania. This is great news for the Southern front and makes sense because they are protected by being at a NATO airfield. Not so great, I can't see how they could possibly be used in the Northern front like this.
  4. You would literally be better off paying with a credit card from here. Although I bet whatever the Russian equivalent to a run of the mill Mastercard is charges near 85% APR, with a drunk guy named Slava that shows up at your dacha to kick your ass if don't pay weekly.
  5. He could work with the guys that organized the Blue Blazer into.
  6. That is first class from the looks of it, my guess, he's a spoiled rich kid who has never actually earned anything in his life. Based on how he's dressed, I'm doubting he's going anywhere on business.
  7. This is the real crux of the problem, how do you deal with people that are willfully ignorant?
  8. I fear we have but a few months to be fully committed or risk a worse alternative.
  9. Have any of the aid packages have we sent any of the GBU series of bombs? I read that the F16 platform can support GBU 31 and 38 in concert with JDAMS system. These are in the same family as other bunker buster weapons, but I'm not entirely clear if they are exactly the same thing. My basic thought is to make underground unsafe for the Russians, bomb them out of the concrete holes, and then set them on fire with napalm. (I know we haven't green-lit napalm). I'm just hoping these are the sort of surprises they will get in the very near future.
  10. I hope our aid packages include about 30 new axes.
  11. That pretty well sums them up.
  12. I'm really excited for the Waste Management Grand Canyon venture.
  13. Maybe we can start a rumor that fracking is the cause of wokeness and gender identity questions.
  14. I know one of the historical tell-tale of coming economic difficult was always the number of tower cranes in a major city (if there are more than ever before, look the fuck out), I'm beginning to think the new metric is the number of bros pimping their bullshit new luxury brand.
  15. Along these lines, lots of commercials seem to want to invite people to join them on, say Chime, the Movement (fancy watches) etc.
  16. They are a fucking cartel of international finance gangsters. Fuck the Swiss, right in the ear.
  17. It's shocking that the Swiss, long term enablers of international malfeasance, are willing to do the bare minimum for appearances.
  18. You are right, they have more patience than I would, and it is in their favor. Imagine if say, Cuba had bombed St. Jude, the entire island would be an ash pile by now. That's pretty much the equivalent of what the Russians have done, bombed St Jude. These people deserve to be set on fire and left to burn.
  19. Bombing a children's hospital is enough for me to say fuck it, let's dance; but I can be impetuous.
  20. As to the population and it's distribution, one thing that was interesting to me was that while 26% of the population of Russia is rural, approximately 80% of the Russian population is ethnic Russian. Certainly distribution isn't entirely equal rural to urban, but it stood out as actually being a fairly reasonable assumption. As to the veracity of the numbers, the point about it being potentially wildly inaccurate is very valid. In regards to the Russian's comparable capability to early in the conflict, that's certainly extremely valid. We've seen an uptick in casualty counts, likely having to do with exactly that. It completely stands to reason that their losses of equipment is directly tied to their increased human losses. Further, their capability to replace equipment certainly seems to lag well behind their need for it (hence the sat photos of disappearing ancient platforms). Interesting to me though, Putin has managed to do something that is equally despicable as it has been effective. If the reality is that no one in Moscow or the other major metro areas is going to be really affected by the human losses (which as it stands right now appears very true), the best chance at internal dissent having any real power to cause him problems has been dealt with by sending men from potentially dissident regions into the conflict. By using these men, he has in essence been ethnically cleansing is own population and leaving no real potential opposition in these regions. All the men that might have done something are dead in Ukraine, or will be soon enough anyway. In a sense, he's crushed much of what could have been his own internal problems.
  21. This seems to be far more likely the scenario, in particular if we maintain the current level of weaponry. The other benefit of upping the lethal aid would potentially be a battlefield victory. If you could smoke 600k in 6 months, even with their ability to replenish troops, their is a good chance they wouldn't have the ability to do it quickly enough to prevent major advances. I somewhat keep holding out hope that this is on the way or already in place for a surprise from the Ukrainians; but I'm not holding out hope. The thing I keep coming back to thinking about is the use of napalm glide bombs. It's frowned upon internationally, but to my understanding not illegal either. In my mind the F-16s arrive and it's a shock and awe of all the lines with a huge barrage of napalm (all 700 km, any concentration of Russian troops). I've seen nothing that indicates this is even remotely in the works.
