  1. Welp, let’s just build a new one. oh, never mind.
  2. People are worried that he’ll open up Twitter to users that had been expelled, such as Trump. Given that almost all the heavy moderation/censorship was anti-Right, then the reversal of this will lead to a hellscape. Imagine, none of this would’ve happened if the woke crew that ran Twitter hadn’t banned the Babylon Bee account. Lol
  3. I question whether Dems were ever in a very strong position. Polls in the summer are very different from when people come up on a decision. Dems were always facing major headwinds due to Biden’s unpopularity. You downplay inflation, but it directly affects the quality of everyday life for people. Not everybody cares about election deniers. Not everybody is worried about whether anyone can get an abortion. Everybody is aware that their cost of living is significantly higher and many of them are hurting because of it. There’s something like 17 months of declining real wages. That hurts whoever’s in charge no matter their role in it happening.
  4. Japan going with some pretty heavy stimulus. Included are energy subsidies and other means to “help” with inflation. Their inflation is lower than the rest of the globe’s, only 3%. But the currency exchange rate has been tanking all year. This should help that continue.
  5. From BASF directly yes. I was referring more to the de-industrialization that’s going to happen to Europe. Gas looks good so far this fall though.
  6. It makes it more fun to have some money on it. Any interest in betting on Fetterman? I’ll take the other side.
  7. True. I already have money on R Senate control and Masters.
  8. On predictit, Fetterman-Oz went from basically dead heat to Oz 2-1 favorite overnight due to debate debacle. An opportunity there for posters that think it actually went well or it doesn’t matter. https://www.predictit.org/markets/detail/7016
  9. I‘m not aware of any data showing any effectiveness 9 months out from a booster. As for the new booster, no data either.
  10. I think your read is wrong. Are these polls ever so one sided? Also, I guess this is where Chris Cuomo landed.
  11. Liquidity driven. On another note. This is a good piece looking at potential implications of CBDCs. Dystopia. And look who’s a big fan. It really feels like there’s a race to build this stuff out and market it to the public before this debt supercycle blows up.
  12. British bond market still jacked. Pensions/insurance funds are running out of time to sell to the BoE.
  13. Streamlining German ops. Looking at how to structurally adjust main German site. Also, These sanctions have reliably led to higher costs/tighter supplies for the sanctioned goods. We’ll see whether Russia makes up for the volume loss with higher prices like has happened to an extent with oil and gas.
  14. Except it wasn’t. And they knew early on.
