  1. And it's because of the massive wealth inequality. Everyone is basically like, well..."if he (USA) dies, he dies." because 99.99% of the people don't have much to lose compared to the .01%
  2. The Principal-agent problem, commonly referred to as an agency problem: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Principal–agent_problem
  3. Luckily the CFO is at Davos to figure it all out!
  4. The blame is on legacy election theory-- an incumbant does not give up the high ground of incumbancy. You saw it play out here where we were 50/50 on it EVEN after the debate.
  5. Bro, ngl-- that black pastor just ate and left no crumbs. Chills.
  6. More than the 10-15% already announced with the re-org that begin already? I'd love to hear how you have more inside information, maybe we can take it to the O&G thread....
  7. Yea, seems divorced from reality, but hey-- we all need hope. Live look from inauguration:
  8. Gonna be? Already did. BP too. Underwood just nailed that acapella.
  9. Don't tempt Nic Cage with a National Treasure IV script!
  10. It sounds like we are going to bully soverign nations who can't defend themselves. Taking the canal back from Panama is like being a senior and taking a 3rd graders lunch money. Despicable, but I don't think there would be a hot war longer than 5 seconds.
  11. I mean, it's crazy how he's been white-washed and does T-mobile commercials and is the American envoy to the Olympics (2024). I questioned that as well and the best I could fathom was that Gen-X nostalgia and amorality did this.
  12. Back pay and reinstatement for those who were dismissed in the military for not wanting the covid vax. Talk about winning a low-probability parlay bet for those who wouldn't get it.
  13. Like HW told Bill Clinton, You will be our President when you read this note...Your success now is our country's success." Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst....
  14. In this sense where grift is allowed I get it but to your overarching point get real dude-- the SEC puts forward a securities fraud case daily. Just last week Capital One got hit and that was gray area. Tell me you are not employed in the banking or F&A sector without telling me.
  15. Trump's speech being outrageous right in front of Joe and Kamala is insane.
  16. Like anything, it's just a spectrum of the agency problem I guess. I mean, I disagree and don't like it, but I'm not going to do anything about it or care more than just notate it on a messageboard.
  17. It's been pretty good. I think I prefer the rotunda/indoors than the traditional outdoors. I can follow it better and it looks really stately. They should do this moving forward. Probably better for security as well.
  18. Right, I get it. I was commenting how I don't like it.
  19. Wait, now Snoop is performing at Trump's inauguration? This guy will do anything for a buck, won't he?
  20. I'm more appalled that moderna/pfizer, etc. got legal immunity for something that was quasi-mandated to put in your body more than the preemptive pardons. I think the pardons was smart and good.
  21. Man, Kamala is tough. She's had to deal with the election loss more than most due to her being the sitting VP. She can't just get out of the public eye and not be a part of all the cermonies (state funerals, this inauguration, etc.) where she has to be in the same room as Trump a lot.
  22. “Profit-takers vote D and R” - LeBron James, probably.
  23. Call their bluff. If they think they are so high and mighty that their precious little children can't go to school with BIPOCs, then why don't they put their mouth where their money is and cut a fat tuition check? Oh because, they can't! They are more closely like those "others" they purport to be better than then they are the rich. I'm reminded of this quote, "I'm closer to LeBron, than you are to me" - Brian Scalabrine Keller is closer to poor than they are rich. So split that plum, dog.
