  1. Kirk needs to give it up. If I am a DC, one team I definitely don't want to face is LA. good passing and good running? Give me somebody else .
  2. This dude on LA is a tough runner. I know this because the announcers just told me "tough runner" three times in 10 seconds. Congrats!
  3. Rams fan here for this game. Amazing how special teams have changed. Years ago, it was gospel to let the punt land if the ball would land inside the 10 yard line. But special teams coaches finally got smart and had player(s) run and stand between the punt returner and goal line. Now a player makes a fair catch at the 5 and nobody bats an eye.
  4. If you are in Texas, you should allow @C-Man to quote you. will be in Texas in late May. Thanks for the tip.
  5. ok. good. The Hartford is the one that offers or used to offer a senior friendly plan, I think? For auto. I am not quite a senior, but getting close, will be 59 in a week.
  6. My last Germania auto policy ended in January 2022 I think, don't remember. During the year-long policy my independent agent told me I missed 3 Major insurance increases. The new policy would have more than doubled!! I couldn't deal with that and my agent is down to very few companies to choose from. I am a renter, and our new 6 month auto policy was a relaxing $1700, Progressive, then the next six months increased a little bit and then this time was scheduled to go to $1900. I balked and took quotes, and will get the State Farm experience for six months, maybe a year. Loss lead rate to start is $1534. This is for 2 Hyundais, three drivers, the wife, myself, and our 25 year old son. 2022 Kona and 16 Accent. He doesn't turn 26 until March, so I am told he is good to go until the next policy, which will be July. I assume the rate will go up in July about 20-25%, but if that is what happens, the rate is still lower than the scheduled 1900 with Progressive. I really appreciate the now very rare one year policy. My next quest for a year policy will start with AAA.

    2023 Heisman

Bo seems like a good name for a Heisman winner. Its either Bo or the LSU guy, right?
  8. I love what K Rob brings to the scene. It's almost like he is our version of 2005 Ramonce.(sp?)
  9. Whichever staff handles the distractions better can prepare better. I loved seeing Vince on TV yesterday. I don't know if Vince has 100% access to the team, but he sure can help the players stay focused, I believe. lm sure everyone here remembers Vince "Whoever wants to beat Ohio St. show up at xxx hour". Obviously I don't remember the exact quote but the Ohio St. victory and the Alabama victory this year are comparable. I am not personally in favor of any additions to play packages. I think the team changed when Brooks went down. I remember typing that when he went down we weren't going to win the Big12 without him. Did Sark really discover over the middle passes after Brooks went down? I have seen a few over the middle passes since Brooks. I think Washington will have trouble preparing for all we can do offensively. And Ewers hasn't run the ball, except for the one run yesterday, since getting injured, so with him 100% healthy that is another aspect Wash should prepare for. This team reminds me of possibly only two teams, the 2004 and 2008 teams. No team should ever be compared with the 2009 team, being held together by a dominant QB and one receiver on offense. I believe both the 2004 and '08 teams had a will to win and a next man up philosophy this team has. This team has improved vastly as the season went on much better than any of Mack's teams. I think this team is much more versatile on offense. This team has enough good RBs to run the wishbone, and enough really good receivers to run the run and shoot. Of course none of that matters. At this point, there are only three factors remaining. Luck, injuries, and the football gods. And we all know the football gods owe us big time for January 2010. It is payback time.
  10. Our secondary and PK is gonna hear how porous they were against OSU every day for a month. If that doesn't motivate and inspire our back 4, nothing will. I still give Penix 3 TDs passing and at least one running...28 for them...and 49 for the good guys.....tiny bit of luck is how healthy do we come out after defeating Wash. take the over.
  11. ...one was a very young exec. at ABC I think...Beano Cook came up with the idea to move the 1969 Texas-Arkansas game to the first weekend of December, for a national TV audience. Colege football on TV was evidently in its formative years and a national TV game was probably very uncommon. Hey Armybrat, is that more or less correct? I was in K. Both Horns and Hogs held up their end of the deal and we had the game of the century. Other man is yet to be named..Is it CDC who decided to schedule Alabama during the 23 season? Without that victory we are nowhere near the CFP. Kudos to whoever gets credit for scheduling 'bama. Now lets go whoop some Wash.
  12. For once in the last 10 or so years, we do not face a mediocre QB who will rise to become the next Tom Brady because he is playing against us. Finally we have a QB already rated super-high that we can take down to a normal level. Of course our DBs have to learn to cover. Can someone get Jammer on the phone to help? Michael Griffin? Cedric Griffin? Raymond Clayborn? Johnnie Johnson? and most of all... Jerry Gray!!!!!!!!

    2023 Heisman

how about Penix? Any chance he can win and get a big head and we knock him off his pedestal?
  14. I swear I think I just saw Charlie Strong's little or twin brother on the broadcast just now. Anybody know this cat?
  15. someone may have already stated this, but Tyrone Swoopes is ready to enter the portal to start at Louisville.
  16. If Louisville isn't the worst conference championship participant in the entire history of championship games, I don't know who is? Anybody? Bueller?
  17. I'm sure someone has posted this already, but the penalty yardage today was pretty much spot on for the entire season, I guess? My thought is that the yards were about 80 for Texas and 30 for them, not sure. This is one advantage most other top teams will not have. Our team will magically gain about 50+ yards of field position in the playoffs or bowl game, due to the norm of -50 turning into a 0 yard advantage...shoot ,we might even go to + yards in penalties. I don't know how much that equates to in points on the scoreboard, but guessing about 3 points.
  18. 3 passes down the field this half. Give me 8 more and I will be happy.
  19. Ewers could sit for all I care at this point. How many weeks to rest? 3? 4?
  20. If we get to 42-14, I think it is over. but with turtling sark, you never know.
  21. we are gonna blow a 21 point lead down to about 7, and then we will win by 10. I predicted 38-28 and I might be right.
