  1. I think he actually stepped out of bounds a couple of steps before he caught the ball.
  2. missed tie breaker by 9 yards. I'm good for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th place most weeks.
  3. Dudes, I had 35-17. If Wyoming had scored from the 5 at the end I would have won the contest. Call it 5 yards short of a win.
  4. If Wyoming scores a TD here, I think I win the prediction contest at 35-17.
  5. My 35-17 looking pretty good about now.
  6. Chad Henne is older than Colt! Go with the younger man Jets. Btw, we know Colt has won as a sub. Has Henne won any games as a 2nd stringer?
  7. I have a friend who is a Colorado fan, and we both agreed this is a Sanders year. Sure enough, after we said that, on the last Texas drive, big 0 delivered an incredibly important block on 3rd down to lead to the next third down conversion which iced the game.
  8. I just read today that Colt was released a few days ago by Arizona. Makes sense, with the new coach, etc. He should be done. He did make it all of the way through training camp, so he is almost certainly the "last man standing" from the greatest Rose Bowl game ever played. Of course I am referring to January 4, 2006, when Colt was standing on the sidelines watching Vince perform his magic. This should close the book on the players that were on the field for those two schools. I know this has been covered before, but I would like the final numbers on the 2006 Rose Bowl vs the 2003 Fiesta Bowl - Ohio St. vs. Miami. I certainly think these were the top two bowl games in terms of both talent and exciting close bowl games. Obvious number is not quite so obvious - Because Reggie's Heisman was taken away - 1 for Rose Bowl vs 1 for Fiesta Bowl - Troy Smith - Ohio St won in 2006, so I am thinking he was on the sideline in January 2003, but not sure. well, now the Jets need a backup QB....and Colt has played in NY before so why not?
  9. Texas 35 Wyoming 17 RB Yards 176 Playing it close to the vest, Sark doesn't want to give OU anything to look at.

  11. I missed Alabama's yards by 1!!! Happy to be wrong about the winner. I had the exact correct number of total points at 58.
  12. Alabama 37 Texas 21 yards for Alabama 363
  13. great finish!
  14. somewhat of a wasted play by Cowboys. 2 downs left for Wyoming.
  15. Tech kickers officially off the hook now.
  16. 1st down! wow! Tech seems destined to throw an INT.
  17. Aaron Taylor I believe. and evidently Wyoming's 2nd string QB is pretty good.
  18. This could be the best final round for a pairing this century....maybe ever? Are we looking at 62 and 63?
  19. Can't get much more out there than a rural village in Northwest Alaska, above the Arctic circle.
  20. F this Anchorage Alaska station showing every 8 minutes or so some flood watch. Hey idiots, it's Alaska, we have weather! On the flip side, I learned a new word, areal. Never heard it before today.
  21. I think Victor just won the tourney with that par putt.
  22. That is a hard no on delivery to Alaska from Texas. Prices would be out-of-this world. I am only taking frozen food from Texas because it is my luggage. I will arrive in Anchorage at about 3:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11 and pay $20 per tote per 24 hour period at a company in the Anchorage airport that has a -30 degree freezer. From there I will travel to Kotzebue and then the final destination - Selawik.
  23. Kroger's weekly ad kicks everybody's ass. I am spending the next 9 days helping my parents in Round Rock and will travel to Alaska with about 96 pounds of frozen food, mostly beef, chicken, sausage. The nearest Kroger's is in Bryan, and their weekly ad that starts tomorrow has two gems, USDA choice chuck roast at $3.97 per pound and chicken thighs at 99 cents per pound. Anybody have any experience trying to get Kroger delivery with weekly ad prices from the nearest Kroger's? I called Kroger's cust. number and the lady's English was rough enough that I don't necessarily believe her, but she said I could get Bryan weekly ad prices delivered.
  24. agree with this. The wife's apartment is a four minute drive from HEB, but the last couple of days I have been putting on the backpack, hiking to HEB and coming back with a small amount of groceries. The smell of HEB in the morning is out-of-this-world. The bakery is strategically located as you enter the building. ooh, ahhh, impressive.
  25. check it out, no pics, but their blouses and pants fit very well, not too tight just right.
