  1. I don't have time to be anymore but I used to watch a lot of those 1-hour episode true crime shows, and like many, I imagine, i was repeatedly amazed at the stupid shit people do that guaranteed their conviction, which could have been so easily avoided. Thankfully they didn't get away with it. But as an intellectual exercise, it was fun to identify what could have been done differently. I was also genuinely surprised at several "guilty" verdicts in cases where I wouldn't have been able to vote guilty (at least, not based on what was shown during the episode)
  2. You don't have any evidence of that? You mean besides their dead bodies?
  3. If he gets desperate, he should point his finger and say, "I can't keep up this deception. They were killed by that little shit right there, my son Buster! He's the murderer!"
  4. Wait... the guns used to kill Paul and Maggie were owned by Murdaughs? I didn't know that detail. That's kind of important.
  5. It's been explained to me that his son's death would end a lawsuit that was going to expose all his embezzlement, among other consequences. His wife may have been intending to divorce him.
  6. Well of course they prepped the shit out of him, and he surely prepped himself. That doesn't mean they wanted him on the stand. Maybe they did, I don't know.
  7. Is that road the obvious (or the only) route for anyone leaving his home? I mean, is it reasonable that a different killer would have traveled the same route after the murders? Visiting his parents for 21 minutes is definitely strange. Magge and Paul were killed with different guns, right? Just curious, because I thought I read that. And i assume forensics make it impossible that Paul shot his mom and then himself?
  8. I'm coming to the conclusion that Murdaugh is smarter than Waters. Which I suppose shouldn't be surprising.
  9. I'd hate for my life to hang in the balance of some random decision like that. (I'm not suggesting he's innocent, I honestly don't know)
  10. Effective strategy by Murdaugh to repeat/clarify the questions a number of times before getting anywhere close to answering them. Guarantees that he's giving the answer he wants to, dramatically increases how long this is taking, and at times clearly frustrating the hell out of Waters.
  11. I thought "all Tech grads work for Dominos" was just a stereotype.
  12. Your sarcasm meter can't be that dysfunctional.
  13. Meant to post that on the Murdaugh thread. It was an answer to a question from the defense attorney that I thought was funny.
  14. Not sure why he's so intent on getting an example out of Murdaugh unless he's just killing time until the recess.
  15. Round one goes to Murdaugh. He did a great job appearing contrite and sincere eager to confess guilt for his theft. Not that I think it'll affect the outcome/verdict. Wonder if Waters will alter his approach tomorrow.
  16. Was Alex in line to receive life insurance payouts on Paul and Maggie?
  17. If I ever sue anybody and there's a settlement or judgment, I'm damned sure making sure I confirm with the defendant how much they cut a check for.
  18. The more Murdaugh repeats his confession that he stole from these people, the worse Waters look for pressing on all the details. It starts to look like he's badgering the witness. Smart move by Murdaugh.
  19. Prosecutor is making a mistake so far. Murdaugh is coming off as more likable and the prosecutor is coming off like an ass.
  20. True. But there have been a couple of moments where the prosecutor has tried to rile him just a tad. But no question, we're a long way from the tough questions.
