  1. 3rd and long. I'd say light him up but I bet it's a quick dump off Illegal man downfield?
  2. KC's defense will get more stops than Philly's. So I believe. And my surly record over the years is outstanding, though I rarely make predictions.
  3. No TD. Now fumble the sneak. Unfortunately Hurts squats about 1700ibs so sneaks are pretty much guaranteed with him.
  4. Philly faced Dan fucking Jones and a team without a QUARTERBACK. Opening drives don't mean shit. KC will light 'em up.
  5. Perfectly fair. I think most enjoyed it, as I did. It's a no-bullshit, down home country kind of reverence.
  6. Hell yeah they are I've got him on ignore but saw the quoted post and literally laughed out loud.
  7. My prediction is that Hurts gets rattled, throws some picks.
  8. The Chiefs are really just the Dallas Texans so I'm rooting for them.
  9. National Association of the Dead? Did I hear that wrong?
  10. Goddamit I still haven't completely adjusted to the time change despite living here 5.5 years. I'm sitting thinking the game will start in an hour.
  11. I always hate this weekend because Scottsdale gets invaded for the Phoenix Open, and with the SB here this weekend it's exponentially worse. But... I've never paid close attention to that golf tournament and I've been watching it yesterday and today. Holy shit it's an SEC football game crowd at this thing. I never would've believed fans would be actually boo-ing bad shots and throwing full beer cups and water bottles on the course--and it's a normal, expected thing. Jesus. But it's been an entertaining way to pass the time before the game. Go Chiefs.
  12. Curious to see what kind of condition the field will be in. State Farm Stadium is notorious for shitty fields in big games.
  13. Hunt for Red October wins for me, hands down. Buncha good ones after that.
  14. Watched Spectre last night and enjoyed it more the second time. I had watched Skyfall the night before and definitely enjoyed it more the second time. Casino Royale was so fantastic I loved it immediately, but the other two had to grow on me.
  15. Moonraker was ridiculous. I can handle Bond being competent with a lot of equipment. Helicopter/airplane pilot....okay. But a competent astronaut?
  16. For Your Eyes Only wasn't bad at all. I've always enjoyed that one. You get Topol, who's terrific, and you get a young Carole Bouquet who was Drop. Dead. Gorgeous. As Bond films go, it wasn't full of outlandish stuff.

And lions. And hyenas. And, well, the Serengeti.
  18. I watched about 20 minutes and that's all it took for the jokes to get boring to me, which disappointed me because I wanted to enjoy it. Guess you have to really enjoy the kind of humor. Probably would've enjoyed it a lot more when I was much younger.
  19. Some of it was a little bizarre, but I thought much of it was definitely interesting. I enjoyed it enough that I watched all three episodes back to back. I loved the actress portraying Agatha Van Helsing. Didn't like her as much as her descendant. Were you equally impressed with the guy playing Dracula?
  20. I didn't want to create a new thread just for this, and I'm guessing the Skyfall thread would have been on Shaggy? Couldn't find one here. I'm also sure that someone--or several people--would've commented on this at the time, but I'm watching Skyfall right now and I was really kind of amazed by this. They've just arrived back at Skyfall and Albert Finney's character Kincade is showing Bond the empty gunroom. Then he tells him they sold everything to some collector in Idaho, except for his father's "hunting rifle." He then hands Bond what is clearly a double barrel shotgun. How in the blue fuck does a mistake like that get made? Is it possible the Brits call a shotgun a rifle, as well? That was really surprising to me.
  21. Oh, man. Y'all were bringing back some memories with the NFL Films talk. When I was a kid, John Facenda's voice and the orchestra along with the highlights were just Heaven.
  22. Ha, yeah I just realized this was a tv show thread.
