They moved JJR to LB for the bowl game and he out snapped Barnes. To my limited eyes, Barnes struggled to run fit for much of the game. It sucks to miss out on our primary targets, but missing them along with all these guys coming off the books means we have a lot of money and motivation to get quality guys looking for a place to play. The staff just needs to identify the right ones.
Maybe the diehards, but you would be surprised at how many people don’t know more than 4 people on the team in any given year. It’s much less fun not being able to follow guys from hs recruit to contributor on your team to eventual NFL player. Whatever. There are many ways to have fun in this life.
Ohio State just lost Quincy porter, which is a bigger hit than Bo. Georgia just lost Bo Hughley USC lost Matai Togiai Alabama lost Qua Russaw and James Smith I’m sure there are others, come on man.
I agree that there are no parameters, but you have to stick with what you budget for in order to keep shit from spiraling out of control. Not saying that is the issue wrt Barnes
Having set financial considerations for players by position and pedigree, clearly it’s all speculation and maybe they did that. If his motivation was matching Atkinson’s agreement, then that would be how to mitigate that issue better. IT seems to be saying we wanted to give him a pay cut though, so it sounds like we didn’t care to keep him around.
This is the biggest entry we’ve had thus far. Probably heard what Atkinson got and wanted to get the same. Would be nice to have a real GM right about now.
The scramblyn tag is in reference to his brain Did they ever describe what all in meant? Not to my knowledge, so people taking it to mean they were going to spend willy nilly like Tech are the ones to blame. You pay someone more than Colin Simmons reupped for and you think he and his team won’t force a renegotiation? Agents talk, so prudence is our friend as far as making the most of our resources.
Wells is a moron, but Brown was coming if he ever actually entered the portal. He posted a thank you note saying he was leaving, then Louisville held him hostage until he resigned. Zion is already in the portal, and he’s from Lufkin. That’s Wells’ neck of the woods. Also isn’t a hotly contested situation, so it will likely resolve itself in short order.
@immamac Depends where he’s located. 650 for the bundle you quoted at MC. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PnBfKq Minimal deal hunting. Only thing you gotta do is wait for an nvidia founders edition drop on the marketplace and you’ll get a 5080 at MSRP. The 5090s go fast, but the 5080s usually last for at least an hour. PNY 5080s and FEs also drop at Best Buy from time to time. Both sell for MSRP (999.99) Take the total and subtract about $228 if buying the MC bundle. Should be around $2036 pre tax.
Unless they’re selling those for $150, why would anyone want that? Best Buy had some white 5060 8gbs at $150 last week that sold out pretty quickly. And they regularly can be found around 230-270. Lots of budget cards in that range that can be had for very cheap too.
CJ is just as susceptible to knee jerking as the average poster. He’s gotten better about that since his TFB days, but it’s still there. More players will enter the portal, agents see what happened with Brown/Baugh getting cold feet and see an opportunity for their clients (and themselves) at Texas. Someone quality will shake loose. Waiting for more WR targets to pop up though.
This guy is pretty tiny, but he plays tough and he’s fast as shit. He would be a great option in the passing game and in two back sets. I think he was a Mater Dei kid too, so there’s definitely some familiarity
Basically a Jaydon Blue clone, haven’t watched him much this year but he was a listed as a WR at USC and played the change of pace role at ASU last year. He was a diva at USC and as a recruit. Great speed and good quickness though.
You could make a similarly spec’d pc for about 2150, and when you build your own you can ensure the quality of the components. If it’s mostly for gaming, you’re better off with a 9700x or 7800x3d. Both of these perform better, and can generally be found cheaper, than a 9900x.
