  1. Pretty sure Doug Marrone was hired to replace Flood, but don't let facts get in the way of a good narrative. Flood replaced Brent Key
  2. Our defense struggles against speed. Brenen Thompson has extra motivation in this game as well. MS St also runs the ball well enough to punish our suspect DL. Florida tried its hardest to give them the game yesterday, but MS St was dead set on doing dumb shit to lose. No way should they have been throwing by that point of the game. Either way, they played Florida much tougher in Gainesville than we did. Our guys probably think MsSt is trash too, so they won't play up to them until they gotta try and make a comeback. Season ends in Starkville 27-17
  3. UGA should have lost to UK last year in Lexington. Then, they beat a good Ole Miss team in Oxford last year too. This is not nearly the same level talent UK team, but the coaching is similar. Survive and advance and hope the team finds themselves while it can still have meaning.
  4. I've just stopped responding to that guy because we clearly see the game differently. Our TEs can't block for shit right now.
  5. TEs are poor blockers and they aren't dynamic in the passing game. Endries has all but disappeared as a receiver, but obviously Arch is missing throws all over. WIsner is good, but no one else is a value add. Pass pro is also below average here. Sark is definitely an issue though. We thought it was Quinn, but now we see the common denominator here.
  6. No business winning this game. Kentucky was begging us to win this game and we were fighting like hell to give it away until we eventually gave in at the end. This was a bad bad win. We played as bad or worse offensively in this game as we did against Florida. Not being able to run the ball on these guys was baffling. They suck at stopping the run and we made them look like Saban's Alabama teams. We were covering their guys like they had Ohio State/Florida level talent at WR. Their receivers are terrible in general. We had multiple opportunities to win this game going away and just made losing play after losing play right until the very end. Thank God for Mason Shipley.
  7. Arch isn't good enough to carry this team, but he isn't completely as bad as he looks at times. The offense is a fucking shit show all around. TEs are average at best, WRs are slightly above average, RBs are average, OL is below average. QB is generally below average as a result. The lack of cohesion and leadership only compounds the issues, no one seems to hold anyone else accountable. Even DJ Campbell seems less fiery this year. Caldwell might be worth a look, but there's 5+million reasons why he won't get an extended one. Despite that, him taking over would only punt our potential issues to next year. We aren't beating Georgia/Vandy/A&M unless Arch goes bananas. Any team that can score more than 20 on our defense is put us in a real bind offensively.
  8. Bad playcalling in this game. Sark is very stubborn
  9. Terry Bussey isn't doing anything much more than kick returns this year. Michael Terry was more running back than WR in high school, but he preferred WR so we recruited him with a focus on that. I know he didn't care for TE, but maybe he likes RB and can stick there. He's a big dude
  10. Never made it back from injury. Tore his patellar tendon a few years back. Didn’t care for some of the things he did while on campus, but those were tough times for our country as a whole and there was a dearth of team leadership at the time. Still glad to call him a Longhorn. Wish him well in his next chapter.
  11. By trying to bend at his knees instead of his waist.
  12. Kentucky is a bad team. But this team needs to find its focus that will last for the rest of the season. Playing to a standard is a good first step and I’d love to see the defense be the flag bearing side who then lights a fire in the offense to match their level of intensity and execution.
  13. Fire up the participation chart. JJR and Derek Williams (med year possibility) come to mind. Not many candidates with that description so it shouldn’t be hard to figure out unless they’ve already redshirted and Bobby misspoke.
  14. The offense put together three scoring drives of 10+ plays and 65+ yards against the perceived top defense in the country. We’ll be just fine if we keep that up or even build on that. The deep shots will come and connect.
  15. You aren't likely to get physically overwhelmed at the high school level. He's tough and athletic, but he's gotta put on a bunch of weight without losing his mobility to stick at tackle. I think he's a hell of a left guard if he loses some mobility after gaining weight though.
  16. He seems like the type to just accept his life as a backup until his eligibility runs out.
  17. Oh, hard to keep up with this stuff these days. Hopefully it’s Lott then
  18. Relax spectrum buddy, the post was a read on general sentiment today juxtaposed with the same time last week. If you had similar energy, then congrats on staying consistent
  19. Speaking to general sentiment, from glancing over posts. I’m sure there are those who were effusive in praise and those who were completely dismissive of it
  20. Sounds like the LB from Mich St. and Dre Quinn.
  21. Hypercritical of losses, faint praise after wins over top 5/6 teams. This is fun for you? Enjoy this shit guys, it's as good as it gets unless we go bananas and win the title.
  22. It's good seeing him staying in Arch's ear more.
  23. Agreed about Arch needing to use his legs more in this game, but he was out there playing hurt from the Florida game. You could see him laboring even in pregame.
  24. He was one of the better run blockers today from what I saw. He's also significantly more mobile than Stroh.
  25. They got a former rotational player from Ohio State, an effective NT from Purdue, freshman AA, a former 5 star who was on the upswing, and Lavon Johnson. Alex January was also on the upswing. Obviously heavy investment in recruiting as well. Swung out on Lee Hunter. The inputs are greater than the current output. They also likely spent much of the offseason abusing this IOL, so they didn't realize they weren't going hard enough for average P4 OLs.
