  1. Pretty sure Anthony Hill looks a bit less explosive this year. Torre Becton and the entire S&C staff must go now. Abject failure!
  2. I really dont give a shit if we blow them out right away. I'd rather see Arch make throws confidently, then hopefully eventually make those confident throws accurately with consistency. Don't worry about making big mistakes that potentially cost us the game. They won't. This is a win even with 2 pick sixes. Relearn your muscle memory and visualize the throws you wanna make where you wanna make them.
  3. Simmons has been getting pressure, just not sacks. The coverage isn’t good enough to make QBs hold on to the ball longer. Jaylon Guilbeau can’t cover and can’t really recover, so he plays off so he doesn’t get beat over the top. Not just him, but lots of space underneath where we just try to rally and tackle.
  4. I think he played high school ball as an 8th grader or something.
  5. Sark is not a sunshine pumper. He's a fiery guy. He's not going to publicly throw his QB under the bus in a harsh way. On top of that, Arch has shown himself to be mentally weak so far. The swagger he showed in spots last year has completely gone away and it is infecting the rest of the team. No one on the team plays with confidence because he looks fucking lost half of the time. I'm not even seeing players try to fire him up, almost like he's untouchable.
  6. Fuck that guy and his dad. Take ownership of your failures, kid. He's gonna fail again unless he understands that.
  7. Don’t double down on your stupidity because you got called out on it. Worthy had three different WR coaches in his time on campus. Whittington had 4 I think. Giving credit to Marion for their development when he was half engaged for much of his time here is convenient logic at best.
  8. AD Mitchell had his most productive season by far under Jackson. Golden too. People are developing, it’s a tough offense to learn with all the options and needing to read the defense to be effective.
  9. Ohio State only scored 14 because that’s all they needed to considering the Texas O wasn’t showing a need for riskier offense. Why air it out and risk the defense making a game-changing play? SJSU turned the ball over like 4 times and moved the ball fairly consistently outside of that. They missed a FG too, iirc. I’m going off my eyes right now since we’re only two weeks in and we haven’t really played a strong QB yet. I thought we were really good last year and we still got lit up by better QBs. This defense (to my eye) looks solidly beneath last year’s so far. Hopefully I’m wrong, I would love to be. Also, Arch doesn’t throw too many deep balls but he’s locked in on them for too long.
  10. The defense is great, just not great enough given how inconsistent the offense is. The offense is clearly the weaker performing unit. I don’t believe the D can carry this team yet, I could see OU scoring 20-30 on it. Time will tell.
  11. We have a qb who’s still finding his comfort zone and a WR corps where the veterans are playing inefficiently and the fresher faces are out performing them. Wingo isn’t mentally ready for an alpha dog role, Moore doesn’t seem to be in sync with Arch. Arch also doesn’t like taking what the defense gives him. He needs to get the ball to his backs quicker instead of looking to force the ball downfield. He really loves throwing deep balls, but lacks the anticipation for it right now. This isn’t a playoff team unless the defense becomes much stingier. Or Arch finds a way to become more efficient with his current ability.
  12. Zina isn’t that kind of space player. Not nearly twitchy enough to handle a spy role
  13. Napier was too busy thinking about where he was gonna vacation after he gets fired to call timeout earlier
  14. Why on earth would we get Arch hits against SJSU? Who fucking cares about winning by 50 when our QB gets bruised up? He needs to work on both, but his decision making and his footwork are the most important things he can work on.
  15. Wisner is likely a precautionary thing like he was being held on a pitch count through spring and fall
  16. Ohio state was also aligning and rushing to limit his ability to move outside of the pocket. For the people thinking Milwee has anything significant to do with his mechanics, remember he’s been getting trained by David Morris for more than a decade now. Shit, many D1 athletes have their own personal coaches/trainers these days.
  17. People need to realize that Sark's offense is not complex. He's not gonna go and make it complex to make you happy. The complex portion of Sark's offense is the disguising and motions from the different formations that he runs his same set plays out of. The time it takes to diagnose it real time is what makes it tough. Each defender has to know what's going on exactly when it happens if the offensive players are doing what they're supposed to be doing. One person guesses wrong, and it can be an explosive.
  18. And then Stroh replaced him and finished the game Stroh seemed more physical as well in that sample size
  19. Pretty low line. They must have no faith in our ability to score in bunches. We're going to pad stats in this game.
  20. Didn't notice Ant Hill much at all. Colin flashed multiple times, but Sayin made amazing throws under pressure to keep the chains moving. Sayin was making better throws under pressure than Arch was making with a clean pocket. Stroh was possibly our best run blocking guard yesterday.
  21. Felt like Stroh played about 65-75% of the snaps.
  22. The game is coming down to our OL not getting it done against their DL and their OL getting it done enough against our DL. Arch needs to be appreciably better than Sayin to make up for that, and right now he isn't playing like it.
  23. Didn't realize CJ Baxter cut his hair off. It's game time, let's fucking go!
  24. Running a toss to the struggling right side on the goal line while it's raining heavily. Brilliant.
