  1. Recruit these guys to build the relationship with them so when they hit the portal you can get them cheaper if they haven’t produced yet, or you have an in if they have to leave home for a opportunity, do well but would like to play closer to home.
  2. That's an expensive roster on Oregon's sideline that's getting the belt right now by Indiana. Same Indiana team that went into Autzen and embarrassed them.
  3. Easier to coach up mature, less heralded players than less experienced, highly rated players. Lower ceiling as a team, but many of the highly ranked, high potential guys won't reach their ceiling in college.
  4. All 100 of them? That place looks completely red on tv. Virtual home game for IU
  5. Doesn't matter how fast you are if you take bad angles or can't make contact with good balance. His feet don't look great in those highlights though. I'll check him out whenever I get the time/motivation
  6. That evaluation risk makes having a strong scouting/recruiting department all the more important. Shit is fucking costly.
  7. To be fair, we saw Austin Goosby turn down a much larger NIL offer from BYU to sign with Texas.
  8. We offered more than Oregon for DK Moore. It was primarily a location issue.
  9. They moved JJR to LB for the bowl game and he out snapped Barnes. To my limited eyes, Barnes struggled to run fit for much of the game. It sucks to miss out on our primary targets, but missing them along with all these guys coming off the books means we have a lot of money and motivation to get quality guys looking for a place to play. The staff just needs to identify the right ones.
  10. Maybe the diehards, but you would be surprised at how many people don’t know more than 4 people on the team in any given year. It’s much less fun not being able to follow guys from hs recruit to contributor on your team to eventual NFL player. Whatever. There are many ways to have fun in this life.
  11. Ohio State just lost Quincy porter, which is a bigger hit than Bo. Georgia just lost Bo Hughley USC lost Matai Togiai Alabama lost Qua Russaw and James Smith I’m sure there are others, come on man.
  12. I agree that there are no parameters, but you have to stick with what you budget for in order to keep shit from spiraling out of control. Not saying that is the issue wrt Barnes
  13. Having set financial considerations for players by position and pedigree, clearly it’s all speculation and maybe they did that. If his motivation was matching Atkinson’s agreement, then that would be how to mitigate that issue better. IT seems to be saying we wanted to give him a pay cut though, so it sounds like we didn’t care to keep him around.
  14. This is the biggest entry we’ve had thus far. Probably heard what Atkinson got and wanted to get the same. Would be nice to have a real GM right about now.
  15. Can’t have a bitch thread without this fella
  16. Now I see what pose this guy was going for...
  17. With that stance, I'm surprised they even had you to begin with
  18. Maybe Nansen isn’t the recruiter he used to be
  19. Who was lost that was truly available? Tre Wisner? Parker Livingstone? DeAndre Moore? Inertia is a bitch
  20. The scramblyn tag is in reference to his brain Did they ever describe what all in meant? Not to my knowledge, so people taking it to mean they were going to spend willy nilly like Tech are the ones to blame. You pay someone more than Colin Simmons reupped for and you think he and his team won’t force a renegotiation? Agents talk, so prudence is our friend as far as making the most of our resources.
  21. What stops a kid from resigning with a school then entering the portal anyway? Didn’t Damon Wilson do that last year?
  22. The Michigan state TE has committed. Michael Masunas or something like that.
  23. Wells is a moron, but Brown was coming if he ever actually entered the portal. He posted a thank you note saying he was leaving, then Louisville held him hostage until he resigned. Zion is already in the portal, and he’s from Lufkin. That’s Wells’ neck of the woods. Also isn’t a hotly contested situation, so it will likely resolve itself in short order.
  24. @immamac Depends where he’s located. 650 for the bundle you quoted at MC. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PnBfKq Minimal deal hunting. Only thing you gotta do is wait for an nvidia founders edition drop on the marketplace and you’ll get a 5080 at MSRP. The 5090s go fast, but the 5080s usually last for at least an hour. PNY 5080s and FEs also drop at Best Buy from time to time. Both sell for MSRP (999.99) Take the total and subtract about $228 if buying the MC bundle. Should be around $2036 pre tax.
