Everything posted by Atticus

  1. He was playing with a not fully healed sports hernia IIRC. Very gutsy performance by him in that game.
  2. Atticus replied to LTtxfan's topic in Football
He fumbles too much right now, can't trust him in big games like this yet. See the Kentucky game.
  3. If Georgia was called for the same DPIs or offensive holdings that we were, we win the game. If we stop that fake punt, we probably win the game. If Bert hits just one of his missed FGs, we win the game. If Colin Simmons is able to return that fumble for a TD, or if Guilbeau blocks for Jahdae so he can get the pick six, we win the game. Quinn missed some throws and Georgia missed a couple of picks too. The football gods (along with the refs) were on Georgia's side last night. Credit to them for gutting out the win though. They are who we thought they were, but we let them off the hook.
  4. Bert was pretty reliable last year. He fell apart this year, his story is no longer charming. Pack your bags man.
  5. Let them adjust to the new guy. We still can't get a holding call in our favor
  6. If we maintain this plays and TOP advantage, the dam will break. UGa coming off of that 8OT game and they're gonna lose their legs eventually. Lets get 7 here to apply some mental pressure too.
  7. Bert's become more unreliable than expected. Gotta grab a kicker in the portal
  8. Refs aren't gonna do us any favors today, we gotta play cleaner than this.
  9. Plant that fucking flag in Georgia
  10. What the fuck! I didn’t even pay attention to this since it felt like a pipe dream
  11. Big time. But will his deep Sooner connection keep him from wanting coming to Texas? He’d be very dangerous in this offense
  12. He can’t catch, and just has bad hands in general He's a burner with ST value though, so it could be worthwhile if he isn’t asking for too much.
  13. Crazy that the Cali lb that usc got never even visited.
  14. Taaffe’s tangibles are great, but his intangibles are what set him apart. All he’s done is prove people wrong and I don’t expect him to fail at the next stage either. Don’t let him get isolated on a fast or quick receiver and he’ll thrive back there.
  15. Stewart is a playmaker, but he doesn’t wow with his size, speed, or athleticism. Pretty good after the catch. Also a good school to strengthen ties with. If he’s the third WR take, no one should complain.
  16. Amari Latimer and Javian Osborne are probably 1a and 1b at RB this cycle Lots of receiver options, so im sure we’ll be patient with Stewart already in the fold. OL should be a bigger year, but it’s an ongoing eval outside of Turntine and the two guards. LB should be interesting this cycle with no clear standouts other than the Grayson duo
  17. He’s been a steady producer on the college level in multiple deep receiver rooms. He’s should test decently well and get high remarks from trusted offensive minds. He’s a day 2 early day 3 guy if he continues to make plays down the stretch as the stage gets bigger.
  18. I think Niblett would fill in there nicely if given a full offseason to prepare.
  19. I’d love him for this year, maybe next year to provide more experienced size and jump ball ability. He’s also proven in the SEC. He’s gotta be the top guy so far.
  20. We took three DTs last cycle and two of them were hits. How did Bear Alexander and Damonic Williams turn out?
  21. This dude was committed to Bama, decommits, then commits to FSU, decommits, silently commits to Texas, then seemingly every school under the sun before landing at Mizzou for the highest bid. He literally wrote an article that posted yesterday that lists his top 5, claims he decided two days ago, and has no mention of Mizzou at all. Wonder how quickly he’ll be in the portal to head back to a Florida school.
  22. Wow, didn’t he pass on visiting a&m on their biggest weekend in favor of other schools?
  23. I’m thinking Syracuse for Hilson. He wrote an article yesterday that didn’t even mention Michigan or Missouri. Early PT is big for him and he’s got a good relationship with ERob. I dunno about freshman AA, but he thinks he needs 100 snaps a game to do it.
  24. I wouldn’t count on gullette being on the team next year. Hopefully he stays and breaks out, but he isn’t playing enough for me to think that is in the cards for him here.
  25. When it comes to Lacey over Russell, it’s not like Sark didn’t recruit him or didn’t have a chance to get him because he was too late. He evaluated him extensively and passed on him twice. This is the same guy who was willing to recruit and sign Jalen Milroe. Benefit of the doubt there, even if it looks worse ranking wise
