  1. Tech will be up for this game. No doubt about it. Brooks has tired legs, but they'll run him as much as he can take. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain in this game. They'll get Morton killed out there if it means getting a few extra first downs. Hutchings will play if he can go at all. They're not playing the good LB Martinez just so they can preserve his redshirt. Their WRs gave us fits last year, but I think Myles Price (10 recs last year) might be too hurt to go. Drae McCray is fast and shifty enough. None of this will make a shit if we show up at all. I think the guys are locked in and have plenty of motivation to get the job done. Way too close to the endzone to ease up.
  2. For the sake of being even-handed, the OL and Hayden Conner in particular had a hell of a game on Saturday in Ames. Conner was actually moving his feet on contact and driving people 2-3 yards on more than one occasion. Hopefully he maintains that level of nasty going forward. Good job guys.
  3. Come on man. Any given Saturday/Sunday. It's a matchup game. That same KU team went toe to toe with K-state yesterday. Same UCF team blew out Oklahoma state and went to the wire with OU. This Tech team has the tools on offense to make this a challenge if we play below average ball. They don't have the battering ram QB to convert massive 4th downs over and over with anymore though. They're gonna gamble early and often too And no, they don't run the 3 high safety look. However, they will probably throw it out there once we start moving the ball through the air with ease.
  4. Morton only played the first half against KSU, they were down 3 at the half. They were struggling a bit to keep up, but it was competitive. Once Strong settled in, that game went the other way in a hurry.
  5. TTU is better than this. You can pretty much ignore their games where they relied on Jake Strong. They were going toe to toe with KSU until Morton got knocked out. Then KSU leaned into the Avery Johnson wrinkle and he took the game over. Strong turned the ball over a ton. BYU game was a comedy of errors led by Strong again. They are on a 3 game winning streak with Morton back, but Tahj Brooks makes that offense go. They have a good receiving corps too. The defense is questionable, especially if their stud safety Taylor-Demerson doesn't play. They are very thin at linebacker too. Hutchings gave us trouble last year, but he may be out. E'maurion Banks made some big time plays last night though. This could be a sneaky one if we aren't focused.
  6. Normal guys get 5 to play 4. He has +1 from Covid and +1 from medical redshirt. Seventh and final year.
  7. Yea, that was like bizarro-Louisville. Didn't expect this to be a game at all.
  8. Shot us out of the game, and made the big time shot at the end to win it. This team's streakiness will cause some heartburn though. Big man grew up big time today though, hopefully his shoulder is alright.
  9. Quinn's gonna be a first rounder in April 2024 and an NFL starting QB a year after that. Rick Barnes is vastly overrated as a coach. Pflugerville sucks.
  10. They could have easily lost 2 more too. Arizona and Cal were as close to a loss as it gets.
  11. I think the linebackers and nickels will be able to take away more of those kinds of routes as we continue to improve our mastery and scheme fit talent-wise
  12. When Baxter fills out, he's gonna be a fucking problem. Great hands and is already a plus guy in pass protection.
  13. He had a bad first half, missed throws, poor ball placement, bad pocket movement/self sacking Second half Quinn was better and he got into a rhythm and made some good throws. It's not a this or that thing.
  14. Great 2nd half by Sark. Coverage was much tighter too. Loved this finish. 10 fucking wins in the regular season!
  15. Defense needs to step up. Lets get another sustained drive here O
  16. Big time tendency break by Sark at the perfect time. And the best blocking WR gets the call. Good stuff guys, gotta keep playing D.
  17. He's the biggest guy on the field and they can't see him getting held?
  18. Quinn's poor awareness in the pocket and inability to scan the field is the biggest issue right now. Sark can artificially make Quinn take shallower routes, but you are supposed to read deep to shallow and Quinn just takes forever to come off his receivers.
  19. Mobile QBs eat this shit up. OUs OL is also better at pass pro than ours. Gabriel also has much much better pocket presence than Quinn.
  20. Not a fan of much of the playcalling, but Quinn needs to scan the field better. You can't go broke making a profit, they are giving us the short and intermediate routes. We need to eat those until they shift.
  21. That's a legit call. He already had leverage on him, fucking crazy that we aren't playing within ourselves. Blue and Worthy aren't letting their blockers do their thing, Baxter is waiting for blockers who completely ignore potential tacklers. Crazy.
  22. Boneheaded block, He didn;t even need to do that
  23. This is the game they are gonna try to fuck us over in. We aren't gonna be given anything. The guys gotta take it out of the refs hands.
