  1. Honestly, he can look good with Sark’s script then completely fall apart once the defense adjusts
  2. You didn't need to qualify that with college athletes. Especially now that NIL is compensating some of these guys, like Johntay, very well for their efforts.
  3. He probably has some mental block that keeps him from performing during actual games because I’m sure he hits those during practice. He is physically capable of making every throw. Not sure where the disconnect is for him. Frustrating to watch
  4. It’s possible to discuss a player without being hyperbolic. But Surly gonna Surly. Quinn can make every throw, he might not always see it, but he can definitely make them all. The only real complaint is his inability to save a play post snap when the defense or poor execution ruin it. He’s also not fun to watch and Arch is, and I suspect that’s where some of the complaints stem from too.
  5. He actually juked someone pretty good against Florida on a scramble that set up the 4 and 1 conversion near the beginning of the game
  6. Yea people don’t realize how much harder it becomes to throw without a threatening running game. If you give up 2 yards on first down to a run while only having 5-6 in the box, you consider that a win against our offense. Get us to third down and roll the dice or wait for the team to shoot itself in the foot.
  7. Arkansas was running a poor man’s version of the 3 high looks we were getting in the big 12 and got tfls with 5 in the box at times. Quinn missed some throws yesterday, but that was the bigger issue overall. If we had a more athletic QB, there would have been more opportunities to create once the pocket broke down
  8. No we won't. We won't play them at home until next year.
  9. Quinn was coming into a team that was 5-7, started Casey Thompson and Hudson Card the year before, and only had Hudson Card and Maalik Murphy to compete with. He was also a highly touted transfer ($$$) who was brought in to be the savior at the position. Hudson Card wasn't gonna start over him unless he was significantly better. Arch has the luxury of having Quinn, and even Maalik in front of him last year. Time to learn, mature, and refine before needing to do it full time.
  10. This is a Chris Leak/Tim Tebow situation. Arch probably isn't ready to be the full time starter, but it's too bad we can't get him more involved in the games somehow.
  11. and half of those were against ranked teams. Two of them against teams ranked in the top 10.
  12. Just win baby. It was ugly, but Quinn stepped up before things got way out of hand. For the love of God, find some fucking consistency Quinn.
  13. Not being able to run on this light box is a big big issue.
  14. The biggest issue in this game is not being able to run on a light box. Quinn isn't good enough to play without mostly everything working in his favor.
  15. Looked like a facemask, but we aren't getting most calls today.
  16. Can't force the ball downfield because Quinn isn't accurate accurate and they're playing 3 high most of the time with a light box. Gotta be able to run on this
  17. These refs are crazy. Quinn also needs to learn when to put pace on his throws, they can't all be floaters.
  18. Braising some pork belly and grilling some st. louis style ribs tomorrow FIGHT!!!!
  19. Deandre Moore was a 5 star for much of the early part of the cycle while he was committed to OU. Eventually, he decommitted when Riley left. His final group of suitors was Texas, Georgia, and Louisville due to the Pierce Clarkson connect and big time offer. Very well regarded prospect.
  20. Great get. Good looking tape and baseline athleticism. Would still be nice to get one more nickel/corner type, but 4 dbs is pretty solid for this class.
  21. Finally found someone who didn’t sleep their way through o chem
  22. Taylen Green with a bad knee is a homeless man’s Logan Thomas. I think we’ll turn him over at least twice in this game.
  23. Ohio state definitely recruits guys who don’t pan out. Terrence Brooks would have been one of those had he gone there. Ryan Watts didn’t pan out up there and came here and started at his preferred position. Football IQ is definitely a talent. We’ve significantly upgraded in that department in the secondary. Not sure how this is even up for debate
  24. That 2021 team was warmed over dogshit and Arkansas was surprisingly good that year. Quinn generally plays well in hostile road environments. Yesterday, he played his best home game ever as a Longhorn. Arkansas doesn't have the same defense they had back then, Barry Odom is gone. We'll see what Petrino schemed up during their bye, but we should be a 14 pt road favorite and this game will get out of hand if Arkansas doesn't start fast before we settle in.
