  1. Just guys bein' dudes
  2. I'm thinking Jonah Williams
  3. It's crazy how people don't seem to understand that none of it exists without requisite support. That forum can be as cringey as it wants, just ignore everyone other than the admin/mods and you're set. Find the ignorant posts funny and let the mods deal with the lame discussion. Discuss things the way you are used to on Surly or go fuck yourself. Either one works.
  4. Better athletes in the SEC, but better coaches/smarter players in the big 12. it’ll be interesting to see how much of that 3 high look we get next year. Quinn/Sark will really take off next year if they don’t have that limitation
  5. If you feel the need to tie your support of their coverage to your ability to talk all the shit you want to on the site, that's on you. Surly is surly. OTF is OTF. The communities can be symbiotic with some discipline.
  6. Shouting down inanities, posting vulgar memes like “oh fuck, you’re gonna make me hookem”, calling out unnecessary handwringing, and the like is not conducive to building a large community where everyone feels welcome to visit and engage. Being aggressive toward other posters, even when warranted, is generally anti-community behavior too. Having surly gives people the ability to talk that stuff down, but maybe there’s a way to encourage that kind of poster to be more active on those topics here instead.
  7. Seeing someone misspell Gerry’s name while replying to his correctly spelled name will always be hilarious to me.
  8. Worthy was an On3 5 star, it just isn’t listed on the spreadsheet.
  9. Michigan was on him hard before. They have fallen back since then, possibly due to him telling them "thanks, but no thanks"
  10. It was Blackwell, not Blackshire who lost Blue in coverage on his TD. Blackshire mostly played with the third string in the spring game. Blackshire is still a big boy though
  11. Trevor Goosby, a LT on our roster, is about the same size and can play pretty well.
  12. Looks like Brailsford obviously won the job over baby Brock. TCU or SMU in all likelihood.
  13. He's not a corner, not really a nickel/star. Maybe a safety if he has the eyes for it. Watching him get torched by Iowa State in 2022 pretty much turned me off on him as a contributor here. Just lacks the foot speed and hips to stick in coverage
  14. Probably referring to Austin Jordan
  15. Brooks is the one that makes the most sense. They even sent Muhammad out there to talk to the media over him. He's not really developing as expected either.
  16. Excuse me, but I assure you that if he were truly a frequent enjoyer of mung beans he would not be so morbidly obese.
  17. Good first step to plugging up the middle of the defense. Now if only we could plug up the holes in the secondary...
  18. That was a rough highlight vid. Has some work to do. I'm super thankful for the role he played with our team while he was here. I hope he finds success in whatever he ends up doing long term.
  19. Manning had a hell of a spring game. Ewers is still better today, but this game by Arch is gonna have people buzzing about Texas football all summer. Ewers better stay healthy and play well early this season
  20. Good pickup by them. I wonder if Ryan Fodje eventually flips to a&m too.
  21. To be fair, he's going for the Jones School of Business more so than football.
  22. How else do you suggest they make money? Do you work for free?
  23. Committed without visiting. Was an EE, but hit the wall early and never really regained his footing. Suffered a significant knee injury during an in-season practice. Good kid, but he would have had a hard time playing here even if he did everything right and didn't get injured.
  24. Too early to make a blanket statement like that, Colton Vasek is also doing well to make his way back. Injuries don't help, but guys who aren't on top of their shit from the jump are generally gonna get recruited over. Sink or swim.
  25. Content is king. If anything, they need to put more out there. The way they package it could be better, but they are doing a great job so far, and their viewership is steadily growing as a result. Whenever I watch, it feels like a good vibe and I'm sure they'll continue to build while maintaining that.
