  1. We blitzed throughout the game guys. Their OL far outplayed ours in pass pro. Part of that is Quinn in the pocket. Part of that is individual OL failures. Part of that is a guy like Bralen Trice being too much for our guys. I saw a few snaps where Their TE Westover was blocking Sorrell 1 on 1. Can you imagine JT Sanders even coming close to doing that on Trice or ZTF? We finally started getting some pressure near the end, but Penix was more than able to handle it by moving in and out of the pocket.
  2. The OL really struggled to protect as well as we needed to run the plays we wanted to run. I'm not sure why we didn't run more short passes to Worthy since they were playing like 7-10 yards off of him for much of the game. We also didn't have the ball much. Tough game.
  3. You don't just become Georgia/Alabama in year 3 of a program. We barely lost in the CFP with a relatively inexperienced team.
  4. ??? We tried to play the tight coverage we featured against Tech and OkSt and got torched multiple times. Penis was picking on basically everyone. They started playing off more to limit the damage, but we were at a solid disadvantage in the secondary. Brooks made his name by playing super physically with Evan Stewart in some camp reps, then became a 5-star from his increased profile and recruitment. Also has very long arms and big hands and positional versatility. Always been a 4.6 range guy though. It's hard to lack athleticism and have poor recognition too. He's easily had the most coverage busts this year. Tough when you have no one to really push him at that position.
  5. If it isn't covered, Blue walks into the endzone. If he gets the corner, he still gets very close. That was one of many great plays by Ulofoshio.
  6. Brooks is slow, Watts is slower. Muhammad has great COD, long arms, and good technique, but he's light and young. The safeties are no bueno. The linebackers aren't great in coverage. We are a limited bunch, and we didn't get any pass rush. They were working with an NFL QB, multiple NFL O-linemen, and at least 2 NFL WRs. Our only hope was for Penix to miss throws. He was on fire from the first snap. This was the result.
  7. The defensive secondary is the correct answer here.
  8. Not that it needs to be said again, but Cowherd is an idiot. Washington is a heavily penalized team.
  9. It was more like a 4 turnovers (running into the kicker extended a drive) and multiple drives in the redzone that ended with FGs or no points. To still be ahead with 90 seconds or so in that game was nothing short of a miracle. If we have truly overcome out redzone issues, that only gives us more room for error in this game
  10. And here I thought I was weird for watching big games solo. Shit, even the “easier” games I chose to attend were less than pleasant for the people who joined me. I’ll be sipping/chugging manhattans all night
  11. All three of those games were 3 point upset wins. On paper and matchup-wise, it makes sense to favor Georgia and Oregon. Whether it's Oregon's shitty decisions in the first game, or taking too long to get going in the second game. Whatever the case, UW got it done. Georgia didn't play great against Bama, but Bama played really well situationally to hold on and win that game.
  12. Notice how he doesn't mention KJ Lacey being committed to Texas as part of the draw of going there. Alabama or Auburn, and I think they could both flip to Auburn on the same day.
  13. Is he declaring that he's gonna help the NFL prepare for the event?
  14. Our guys are good, but those guys are both good too. I think Gibson was the initial primary, but Clark was probably just as if not more desired. I also believe the EE thing was an issue due to baseball.
  15. Penix doesn’t seem like the brightest guy, but he can sling it. You would think a 10th year CFB QB would know how to respond to those types of questions by now.
  16. We don’t want Nansen, we need to keep Sark as clean as possible from whatever demons he had in the past. Good coach, but not worth the risk at this point.
  17. Notice how they opted to avoid mentioning Spencer Rattler, and more notably, Caleb Williams
  18. Maybe he gets a year at Ole Miss before ultimately heading to JuCo
  19. They passed on Dillon Gabriel for this shit? What even makes him special as a QB?
  20. How the hell did Armstrong throw for 4000 yards in a season at UVa? He's horrible
  21. Lagaryonn our wayward son Carson
  22. Don't gotta be big to be effective. He's athletic, plays with good leverage, and consistently uses good technique out there. You almost never see him off balance out there. He's also flanked and assisted by two giant guards.
  23. Two Washington guys on that list. The LT probably isn't far behind either.
  24. I was just about to post that. USC definitely has more weapons on offense than we do and they have an excellent scheme as well. We have a better OL though. If they had anything close to our defense, they would have beat Washington.
  25. The stats don't tell the whole story, especially not with the way they do CFB stats with sack yardage. Check out the Oregon State game this year or some of his tape from Indiana. He's not nearly the threat with his legs as he is with his arm, but he can convert crucial 3rd downs and goal to go plays with them if given the opportunity.
