  1. We don’t play BYU in Provo. They beat us by 1 with Casey Thompson, Brenden Schooler, BJ Foster, Luke Brockermeyer, Marcus Washington, and a host of other massive liabilities and malcontents either starting or getting significant playing time. They were spotted like 14 points by Hudson Card as well. We have played against Jalon Daniels 3 times now. This is the best team they’ll have faced from us in all three matchups. A large portion of the 10-12 contributors on our defensive front would have to lay an egg for their run game to have the consistent success it needs for this one to be within 10 points.
  2. It’s true. Kerstetter played, and struggled at center for much of 2020. After he got hurt, Majors slipped in and played the rest of the season.
  3. These guys are gonna eat this week. Disciplined rush lanes, I’m not too worried about the run. Don’t take the cheese and the KU offense becomes very manageable. Interested in seeing how they handle Fairchild the TE.
  4. Hard to get fired if you aren’t under contract. He tried to negotiate, fox said no, shit happens. If he had a greater need for the position, then that’s too bad.
  5. He looked pretty nimble out there at LT. Baylor had already mentally quit, but still. It will be interesting to see how he looks after he puts on good weight after losing so much bad weight.
  6. It’s a been good sign under Flood when they identify someone they like early and pursue them. I imagine he’s a guard though
  7. Arch probably gets the nod before then if it’s overwhelming, but Maalik just needs to keep improving to have a shot at the upset. He isn’t ready to play on a full time basis just yet. He’ll have a year on him as far as time learning the system, but Arch is a very quick study.
  8. Better we find out about the kid not wanting to leave home now, than him portaling back home after a year on the bench. His potential is only good if his mind is right.
  9. Did anyone catch who came in for Banks at the end of the game after he hobbled off the field? Looked like it was #67, which is not a number on our roster. Maybe Agbo switched his jersey?
  10. Likely a transfer candidate. I’m not sure if he even plays on special teams
  11. I think Trey Owens is gonna push for reps at QB. Not sure how many years it’ll take or the circumstances in which it happens, but I can see it happening sometime, somewhere.
  12. Push implies pushing the incumbent from his secure position next year. Neto pushed Conner, Campbell pushed and eventually usurped Hutson. He said something retarded like “baker is gonna push at left tackle, he’s the top rated lineman in country!” Baker has only played on the right side of the OL, watch the tape. As CTJ said, he was recruited to play RT, and is most comfortable there.
  13. You must be blind or just completely ignorant. Worthy is an athletic freak. He's slight, but plays strong. Needs to work on ball skills, but he's a second rounder at worst. Especially after he rips off a sub 4.4 at 6'0 170 with his tape.
  14. No, he isn't going to push anything at left tackle. He'll compete at right tackle, along with Williams, Goosby, and maybe Agbo.
  15. App State is really good, they gave North Carolina all they could handle in Chapel Hill. App State also essentially had the ball the entire game. Wyoming winning that game was nothing short of a miracle. That's the sign of a solid team. Finding a way to win despite the circumstances.
  16. Jalon Daniels only ran twice against us last year. He's not heavily reliant on his running to be successful, but he can move a little bit. He also has a back issue, so if we hit him like we've basically hit everyone this year, he's not gonna be keen on running much at all. We need to be ready to see both of their QBs. Bean is a better passer than Daniels, but is less dynamic.
  17. TCU stops the run well enough and they do it even better at home.
  18. It sure would be nice to pair Banks with another solid run blocker, but Conner is above average to good in pass protection. I always laugh when I see him try to pull though. Hopefully Connor Stroh shows a meaner streak whenever he plays.
  19. The more I look into Kansas, the more I think we are overrating who they are this year. Last year, they definitely showed signs of explosiveness on offense. This year, against very pedestrian competition, not so much. Maybe they've been saving everything for this game. Almost lost to a winless Nevada team and looked average against BYU yesterday. I worry about us taking them lightly because we trounced them last year, but they're undefeated so hopefully we respect them and come ready to play.
  20. It's @TCU for me. I think we can and will run it down KU's throats. I think this game is a good test for our defense though. Daniels is better than last year, but so is our defense.
  21. Yea, they can't ground and pound without a better designed offense. Their OL is huge, but uncoordinated and lack the freaks they usually have.
  22. Both coordinators are massive downgrades from last year. The QB is a massive downgrade who shits down his leg regularly. He lacks the poise of Hurts, Adrian Martinez, DTR, and other really good dual threat QBs. The team looks poorly coached all around though. Pretty hard to watch. Definitely makes our win lose a lot of its luster.
  23. Hudson Card is a redshirt junior. Same class
  24. This game, TCU, and Tech will test our secondary the most. If our O shows up for the OU game, it isn't close. If they don't, then it's an interesting one. OU's defense can be had. They just haven't played anyone who can take advantage of it. Let's just hope Kevin Mar's crew isn't in Dallas that day.
