  1. I agree with you. He's made good strides this year, but the ability to see the field is a longer curve skill. Hopefully the delay of his NFL career will let him build upon the improved maturity he showed this past offseason. Hopefully he picks up on that deficiency and addresses hard ahead of his final year. Fortunately, he'll be seeing easier coverages next year with the improved OL, RBs, and SEC meathead tendencies.
  2. The only way we would engage with Stewart is if he comes correct and Ewers really pushes and vouches for him. It was more of a Sark recruitment than a Coleman one, and Stewart's group created a lot of bad blood in the way they went about their business.
  3. If his shoulder was actually an issue, they wouldn't have played him late like that.
  4. I'm a big Ewers fan, but his lack of field vision has been a recurring theme going back to last year. He is who he is at this point. He's great if things are schemed up for him and sometimes he can even thread some balls into tight windows, but when it comes to creating on his own, he isn't that. I appreciate the fact that he's the best we've had since Colt, but I also believe that distinction will be short-lived. Hopefully he balls out the rest of the way, then comes back and makes major strides over the off-season to become a first round draft pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
  5. It was definitely Catalon. Probably just wanting to get him some live reps ahead of next week. I still have no idea what his injury was. Hyperextended knee?
  6. Not only is this game a revenge game from last season, but this game is for a Big 12 title and a shot at the CFP. They'll be ready. Things get really exciting if we win the conf title game. Team can get healthy and they get a month to prepare for an opponent.
  7. Nah, I was actively looking for it during the game. I still have no idea what happened to him.
  8. Unless you find a still from the game after the first play, he was in street clothes on the sidelines. He was wearing a black hoodie. It was the Brooks, Holmes, and Muhammad show last night. X'Avion Brice came in late.
  9. He was on the sidelines in street clothes for the rest of the game, unless i missed something.
  10. That's a weird metric to evaluate talent with, but...sure? Their WRs are plenty good for this level, they generally eat against zone, but guys like Bradley and Price have had success for much of the year in key situations. We've definitely been abused by worse. Shit, Savion Williams went for nearly 200 against us and he only has 525 yards on the season.
  11. Tech's WRs aren't bad at all. They struggled to handle the physicality of our DBs. The most surprising play by the secondary was Jerrin Thompson picking up a WR on the boundary during a corner blitz. He was in phase, but he didn't have to defend for long. Tech couldn't block our front and that made it impossible for their guys to get anything going consistently.
  12. Too nasty. Gotta rein it in a bit and keep it closer to the whistle
  13. There was no hero ball needed for this team to be productive. It isn't driven by Bijan, Rojo, Brooks, Baxter, Quinn, whoever. It is the Sark playcalling and play designing. There will be production as long as there is decent blocking.
  14. Quinn had a bad game and we still beat them by 50. The defense was completely dominant. Tech stuck with the run even though it clearly wasn't gonna carry the water. Hell of a game by the Texas defense, OL, and special teams.
  15. Quinn looks abysmal tonight. Any lingering questions about possibly heading to the draft should be answered with a resounding no at this point. Thankfully the other phases of the ball are carrying more than their weight.
  16. Even Sark was like wtf is he looking at?
  17. That was clear roughing. If Quinn could fucking see the field, that would have been a first down either way
  18. Quinn isn't throwing deep very well today. Lots of turnover-worthy throws today.
  19. If we keep fucking around, Brooks will have an opportunity to start getting longer runs. Gotta force them to throw the ball more. Our pass rush will overwhelm those guys.
  20. Quinn has been underthrowing everything. Either he's late or he's underthrowing it. Will Stone needs to kick the ball out of the endzone the entire second half, don't give them any more chances to swing momentum.
  21. Quinn has poor pocket presence. They gotta be able to protect against a 3 man rush better though.
  22. Take the points, don't risk turnovers
  23. These guys completely lose their composure in key moments. Red zone, short yardage, etc. How many fucking penalties do we have in those situations? It's inconceivable.
  24. They have to literally pull their jerseys off for the ref to think about calling holding in this game. That tech tackle was holding onto Finkley's hand like a child holds his mommas hand in a crowd. Sark needs to make this game much simpler on offense. Too cute. They need to surround Brooks and never assume he's tackled.
  25. I mentioned it could change during the process, either for the better or for the worse. It’s definitely riskier than coming out next year as a more likely top 3 guy.
