  1. He won't do well his first year, but he can clearly sell playing time now. He won't get the top guys, he doesn't need them, but there's a decent number of quality kids that he can assemble to eventually get to bowl eligibility in the next two years.
  2. Pretty sure Bama's new OC came from ND too. Maybe even recruited Buchner to ND originally.
  3. Imagine have a performance/outcome dependent job where you aren't just guaranteed a paycheck for showing up. If you are valued by the market, you get paid. If you aren't, you stop getting paid. Create value for the market so you get paid.
  4. Some people prefer to remain anonymous when it comes to their more frivolous expenses.
  5. That's another transfer guard they need to land. That one hurts though.
  6. He's a tough kid, but it's hard when you aren't fully focused and that's the only way you'll find success. Why be decent at multiple things when you can be elite at one? Focus is a very valuable thing.
  7. Anyone who could skim or watch that podcast interview and come away with "he's a narcissist" is so deep in their own confirmation bias that they aren't worth trying to save. This has nothing to do with how successful he will be as head coach at Texas. The dude is consistent as hell, and that's generally what we call genuine. All he needs to do now is win more games to take it to the next level. The guy has a great story and more candor than most would have with similar circumstances.
  8. Looks like he won't be changing the color of his jersey too much
  9. That's gotta be the most compact 6'2 300 lb guy I've ever seen. Wonder if those measurements are as accurate as Tausili Akana's were.
  10. Unintentional irony At least he was close. It’s Jordan Matthews, pyro.

    Fuck off

Found a pic of OP just before he started this thread
  12. Our team will be more effective in the second half as our OL becomes more mature in running the base offense. Sark needs to learn how to sprinkle his wrinkles in even after they show they can stop it once or twice. Our guys need to make it harder to diagnose what plays we’re running. If we do a better job of making plays look the same, we’ll be harder to stop in the second half.
  13. Saying you're going to start being serious and actually doing it in a way that will actually see results, on a consistent basis, is a pretty big leap. Hopefully he has someone he trusts and listens to, who has been there, and can check him whenever he falls below that standard. Good luck dude.
  14. If he wins the title this year, then goes undefeated next year on a game-to-game contract, then we can grant him an audience.

If Bama loses to a&m again, I think we're on the top line
  16. Lefau, along with the safety we signed out of LA, has been one of my favorites for a while. Big hands, hard nosed, really good in coverage, strong leadership, chip on his shoulder, etc. my only concern with him was him actually being 220+ at 6’1. if he is physically able to play the run, he’s a steal all the way. His ranking never made sense to me unless he was just very physically unimpressive/limited.
  17. Actually, one of Porter's biggest issues was his indecisiveness behind the LOS when the blocking was anything less than clear. He'd get you what you blocked for, and maybe a little less at times. Great dude though.
  18. Can you PLEASE stop pumping so much sunshine, you're like the anti-Satya at this point
