  1. It's an added variable in a game that they don't need any added distractions. I don't fault Sark for it if he made that call

    Bert!

Jeff Crosby is your guy. He’s the de facto specialist coach.

    Bert!

You think a kicker needs a dedicated coach on staff? They usually have a GA or something similar working with the off to the side charting stats and maybe helping them work through the process if necessary. Kickers are part of the team, but they generally do their own thing. Unless he’s hurt, Bert’s issues are mental. He didn’t just forget how to kick after all this time.
  4. I like my women a bit ruder than that, but I’ve certainly banged worse and possibly will again. Carson Beck in Miami makes a ton of sense. Think of all the IG girls he’ll have easier access to as well!
  5. So bad that it calls into question why he’s even on scholarship/got recruited.
  6. Literally everyone has an answer to a zone defense, but you gotta diagnose it quick enough for the timing to be right and to beat the pass rush. Leavitt bought time with his legs over and over, If we get Howard moving like that, I like our chances
  7. Sark isn’t going anywhere. The microscope of the NFL is greater than the one at Texas. The personalities are bigger and your leverage is much smaller. Consider having a guy like Johntay Cook on your team, but you can’t just let him go bc he’s detrimental to your team’s culture. Worse, the team has invested heavy resources into getting him, so you have to make it work and favor playing him over the more effective UDFA. But mostly, he’s very unlikely to leave before Arch and maybe his son move on. also unlikely to leave before winning a national championship.
  8. NFL-video.com or whatever has all of the broadcast version of the playoff games in full.
  9. We tried to get him on campus pretty hard but he never made it. Committed to A&M over the summer. He’s got great tools, and the staff really liked him at the beginning of the cycle iirc, but we didn’t circle back. It’s just one rep though. His 100m time says he probably has more speed than he showed in that clip.
  10. Time of possession was the main defense for our offense. That and poor run blocking for much of that game. Sark likely wasn’t calling plays aggressively to limit opportunities for them to create a big play on defense, which is something they’d feasted on all year.
  11. Pretty sure offensive holding won’t exist in this game. We need to lean into that in this game.
  12. Makes sense. It was either going back home or getting bought by a team. Didn’t hurt that they were the runner up in his initial recruitment.
  13. Color me shocked that Jordyn Tyson didn’t hit the portal.
  14. We struggled and almost lost our CFP quarterfinal game? Well, Georgia struggled and got blown out in theirs. I know which one I’d rather be.
  15. Not attacking your point, just adding to it. I agree that passing early and often is the way to go. Make them adjust, then start running up the gut
  16. We won’t live with rpo slants in this game. Downs, the 6’4-6’5 edges and their backers’ splits will muddy those windows quite a bit.
  17. We don’t really have the OL or TE to do road grading yet. We certainly don’t have the backs for it right now either. It sounds good to say run the ball over and over, but that leans into our weakness and away from theirs. Blue and Gibson are also more likely to turn the ball over than Quinn is.
  18. Heading back home perhaps? Surprised UGa didn’t do enough to keep him
  19. Ohio State is God’s gift to college football. This year’s team has all of their senior super talents clicking at the same time now. I’m not even sure why we’re bothering to play the game, it feels like a formality at this point.
  20. Dillingham has a strong network of coaching relationships despite his young age as well. He also has a strong history of QB development. Those are both strong indicators of future success.
  21. Maybe they invite her out if they are also trying to fuck the hairdresser, but that’s still a reach. People who feel invincible can lack discretion at times.
  22. We can’t expect our defense to hold them to nothing while the offense tries to get its shit together. The offense needs to start fast and stay active with first downs so we can keep their offense off the field. Too many stressors on that team to give them extra attempts to beat our defense. We don’t need to run the ball traditionally to get that done, we need to move the chains by any means necessary.
  23. Most well paid jobs and careers fall into this category. But somehow, people continue to break into them by putting in the effort and making the necessary connections. If I had the talent and desire to be great at something like being a professional football coach, I’d go be an underpaid high school coach and network like a motherfucker until I got an opportunity as a analyst with a decent coaching staff. That being said, it’s a message board. People are gonna talk and comment on stuff like this with limited info for the sake of killing time and driving conversation.
  24. You don't need elite receivers to take advantage of suspect corners. But you're right, Texas has no business playing against Ohio State, but we're so thankful you guys can grace us with your presence. Maybe by beating us this year, it'll be like you guys finally beat Michigan too.
  25. Your corners are exploitable as a position group. But it is gonna come down to scheme and execution in general. Hopefully the staff isn't looking too hard at OSU film from earlier in the season to prep for this game. I'd focus on the last 3.
