  1. Got my eye on that one as well

  3. Demonstrating her ability to add 1+ 3 whilst sitting in a handicart. LOL.
  4. I don’t know any of their songs. I haven’t listened to radio since around 2005; I only listened to alternative rock stations before that. I know nothing of the chicks audience. I was shocked and looked around the audience with disbelief and judgement when so many people were singing along to four non blondes before the chicks’ set. Why would they play that horribad song between blondie, benatar and joan jett? I get the female empowerment thing but that song is a 90’s embarrassment.
  5. Oh. So you were the other guy at the show.
  6. Wife and I are doing the chicks Fri night in Tulsa
  7. Anyone finding inconsistent dying with tecovas? I’ve been to the austin and new dallas store at northpark, and tried on two different styles of boots. Both had dye issues. I thought there might be a difference with the online orders. Apparently not. I just received a pair I ordered online and the dye is inconsistent. This year, I’ve bought 1 pair of Rod Patricks, Cueros, Rios, Chisos, and 2 pairs of Heritages in a variety of skins. Only Tecovas have the glaring dye issue. I’m disappointed because I like them but the dye issue is a non-starter.

  9. Mt Joy announced a show in Dallas on Fri, Oct 13 at Toyota music factory. Tix on sale tomorrow; pre-sale happening now. Anyone got the pre-sale code?
  10. My standing recommendation for Athens is to go to the restaurant at the top of Mount Lycabettus for drinks or dinner at sunset. Get a table on the patio and watch as the sun sets over Athens. You’ll see the aegean sea drift slowly away as the acropolis lights up. Your nighttime view is this.

  13. Just got a copy of East River Pipe’s Poor Fricky from a seller on discogs in japan. ERP is a one man show. He records out of his brooklyn apartment, never plays live gigs, works at home depot, and records beautiful depressing songs.

In 2010, I drove to Austin from Dallas to see Stick Figure at an outdoor bar venue; there were probably 20 people at the show. I got a very low quality recording of him doing a cover of pink floyd’s wish you were here. Saw him at the factory in dallas last may. 1000+ people there.
  16. I saw them when they passed through Dallas. They played a small venue here. Probably 50 people in the audience. During one song, Faherty was jamming, walked through the crowd and up to bar. Kept playing, and hung around the patrons at the bar jamming away. Really entertaining stuff. Walked back through the audience and back to the stage and finished the song. They were at the merch table before and after the show. Chatting and taking pics with whoever wanted to come over. I got some vinyl and got it signed. You’re gonna have a great time. These guys put on a great show. Constantly chatting up the audience during their show.
  17. I hope Brian Jonestown Massacre stops in Dallas when they’re in the area. A few other of those bands playing on Sat are stopping in Dallas. BJM’s website doesn’t even list their show at Levitation. Neither does bands in town app.
  18. I appreciate the timeline. Gotta figure out timing to call it a day at work in conjunction with avoiding traffic as much as possible.
  19. I’m going. Never seen Willie. I want to before it’s too late. Also, looking forward to seeing Whisky Meyers. Suffering the heat is a badge of honor.
  20. Chad Fuck fucks
  21. I dig the slow version of wave of mutilation that they played. I was listening to Doolittle B sides on the way to the show and was enjoying the slow version. Glad they did that interpretation at the show.
