  1. Damn. And I thought the Jane’s show got out of hand.
  2. I was down in the GA area amongst the smu house party chatter crowd. I agree that the vocals were muddled. The sound was much clearer at the austin live stream. I dig their southern sound. They have some standards they’ve played many times and know how to bring the energy and crowd to a crescendo. Glad you made it to the show. Bummed we didn’t meet up.
  3. C’mon man. She used witchcraft. So it doesn’t count.
  4. Dallas roll call for the Stews on Fri night at Granada. I’ll be there. If you wanna hang, I’ll be the guy near the bar that looks way older than the SMU crowd wearing a foo fighters shirt and cowboy boots. Also, the stews are live streaming their show in austin tonight if you want to check them out. Starts at 8:45 PM central.
  5. Is there a surlybuckeyes board with their own lobo that’s fucking with vance’s office?
  6. Next Friday, the stews are playing granada in dallas. I saw them there last year, and they blew the roof off the place. One of the better shows I saw last year. I recommend checking them out for: 1. Kickass music 2. smu talent. It was plentiful. Paging @Firemans4Horn - you wanted recommendations at the Die Spitz show.
  7. I did some work in Kansas City recently. There lucas kunce is running against josh hawley. I noticed a similarity between allred’s border ad and a kunce border ad. The similarities are even with the font colors (yellow and white). The messaging is the same: kunce tough on the border; hawley is not. It pains me to say this but trump established a border narrative at that 2016 gop primary debate that has stuck. It’s shifted the strategy in red states.
  8. Trump should be saying “Whatever makes sense”
  9. Is this like a pizzagate reboot? Is meal team 6 gonna show up to the complex and start shooting residents?
  10. They have a bunch that are off-the-shelf at their store in the stockyards
  11. Rod Patrick Pg 26 Rod Patrick Pg 27 Leddy’s are too narrow for me.
  12. That brain worm starved to death.
  13. I got a recommendation at work for an italian place called garozzo’s. Went there last year and sat at the bar. Everyone was very friendly. Like really friendly. Introverts beware. Food was great. I had some signature chicken dish that they created. A ridiculous amount of food. It’s in a small italian neighborhood - columbus park. And you know it’s a legit italian hood cause the fire hydrants told me.
  14. Missouri loves to repurpose caves for warehousing. It’s cost efficient for temperature controlled warehousing. I’m not surprised they’re doing rock climbing down there too.
  15. I’ve been on this project for over a year and travel to KC occasionally. I went to a midweek concert last Aug at Grinders in their outdoor venue one evening after work. It was an unexpected vibe. Seemed like a house party. Everyone kinda knew each other. Groups of people talking loudly during the show. I was picking up a college house party vibe by large group of 40-50 somethings. I guess it would be a good thing if you were a local but I felt out of place.
  16. Necrobump I’m in a northern KC burb for work for a little over a week. Hung out with a buddy yesterday around Lawrence. Sunday was open. I went to Truman presidential library. I have a low priority bucket list thing to hit all the presidential libraries. The Tru’s been updated somewhat recently, and it’s really good. It has interactive displays, videos, audio to highlight key moments like the death of FDR. There’s a corridor that steps through the timeline leading to dropping the bombs on hiroshima and nagasaki, A corridor that shows the military and civilian death total for each country in WW2. A room with a big globe that showed the global conflicts in the 40’s as countries fought for independence from their imperial conquers while the soviet union began a campaign of expansion. A corridor that showed the events leading to the korean war. There was a room describing the policies in Truman’s fair deal. A room with interactive display that demonstrated mccarthyism and the senate hearings It talked about Truman’s association with the KKK. It talked about the beginning of the civil rights movement. I spent about four hours there and could’ve spent more time but they were closing for the day. Highly recommended.
  17. Fuck you, michigan republicans. Own it. You chose your cancer.
  18. “Your source is ‘trust me, bro’ “ That’s damn good.
