  1. Who knew it was so hard to push someone out of bounds 2 inches from the boundary?

  4. There no such thing as a development project with a QB that can't run. Sorry, but cya later. There's just so much risk for so little upside, pass.
  5. We are so lucky that the KState coach is regarded. They could sell out to stop the run and there's no way we could score a TD in 2OT.

Yep, season has been a success so far, and it needs to be since we have really good DTs which will be hard to replace.
  7. Well, he also can't pass. So what is it exactly he does here?
  8. ✅ Horns win ✅ aggy loss ❓blowu loss?
  9. Sark has some Mack in him in that he wants to have 2 losses and the season to be over before he can actually coach loose and play the best players.
  10. Does he have religious beliefs against running? I've never seen a healthy college QB refuse to run...ever.
  11. if he trots out murphy, drive him to a tarmac and fire him
  12. really wish we didn't turn down a 20-0 lead
  13. Analytics will tell you when to go on it on 4th down to maximize expected points. Early in a close game, by all means follow it faithfully. However, late in a game when a FG pushes it a 3 possession game (like last game), it's worth lower expected points for less variance to take a FG. Today, when a FG pushes you to a 20-0 lead, that's huge. Sure, a 17 point lead to a 20 point lead is still 3 possessions, but we're probably not going to score 0 the rest of the way. As the lead increases, you should be getting more conservative and taking more guaranteed points for less variance.
  14. Brought up by neuheisal that Josh Gattis the Michigan oc was the Broyles award winner in 2021 and goes to Miami in 2022 and is fired for being so horrible.

  16. Lawyers: can you really trademark a color scheme? That’s nuts.
  17. Only analytics for morons. You can take anything to a ruinous extreme. Expected value of points is higher by going for it inside the 5, correct, but it's a higher variance play. So towards the end of the game you should sacrifice some point equity for less variance if a FG increases the number of possessions the opponent needs to score on to win. If your house is worth $500k would you risk it on the flip of a coin to win $500,002 if you could just be given 75 cents for free? Higher expected value doesn't mean it is always worth the risk. An 18 point lead late in a game is a near-lock to win. A 22 point lead isn't *that* much better since it's still 3 possessions, especially at the risk of being left with a 15 point (2 possession) lead which is quite vulnerable.
