  1. It seems more like it's been in the works for awhile to me.
  2. They don't even need the 2023 version. 21-22 would suffice (which should be a reason for more optimism, last year was much more of an outlier for him than 23 was).
  3. Thank goodness they didn’t try to outbid that.
  4. Yeah. I received a letter either last year or maybe it was in 23 for allegedly failing to come to a complete stop making a right turn in Humble. I just ignored it because it was unenforceable. But I do wonder how many people still paid those after they no longer had to?
  5. There's a happy medium somewhere between Texags and the trend this board has been on toward a single, all-encompassing thread.
  6. Never is a long time. I’d say regardless of Bregman, it’s not unlikely for him to play a good bit of LF before his career is done. His defense is only going to get worse, and that’s the easiest place to hide him (other than DH, but there’s already a guy there in basically the same boat).
  7. The problem with that is that Paredes projects to have more value playing his home games in Houston than anywhere else in the league. I don't think the Astros can possibly win that trade. I'm warming to the idea of Altuve in LF, as crazy as it seems on the surface. It does not make the outfield any worse defensively, but sliding Paredes to 2nd and putting Bregman back at 3rd significantly improves the infield defense. And when your two best pitchers are known for groundballs, maybe that's more important at this point.
  8. Not really. He spent 6 seasons in Washington and started games in multiple seasons there.
  9. The long ball isn’t the primary measure of arm strength. Those deep outs from the opposite hash that he’s demonstrated are throws most guys are simply incapable of making.
  10. Most can’t do anything other than bag on the QB.
  11. Take that to the other thread.
  12. I’m watching Drew Allar and trying to imagine how anyone could possibly think he was the superior QB.
  13. Their current AD has been there since 2012 and seems to have done a solid job. And CDC was here for years before Hartzell, not sure why there would be any expectation that they’re somehow linked together.
  14. They’re wrong. The rule changes there have permitted pushing since, I think, 2013, and about a decade longer in the NFL, but what occurred on that play is illegal at every level of football. It’s in black and white in the current NCAA rule book. Now whether it ever gets called or not is another matter. And if that one didn’t, it never will be again, so they might as well just change the rule.
  15. Lol. The rule forbids grasping, pulling, or lifting. That German suplex he pulled involved all 3. It’s about as indisputable as possible.
  16. If it’s a bit, he’s committed to it across multiple sports for multiple years. Draw your own conclusions.
  17. The guy on the other side also had a play that would have induced apoplexy in some posters if Ewers did it.
  18. You’re conflating what people think about him with what they think about you.
  19. Can you imagine this thread if Ewers threw 11 interceptions in 5 games like Beck did?
  20. There were posters singing Kevin Jennings’ praises just a couple of weeks ago. I wonder if anyone would have rather had him playing than Ewers today?
  21. I’m sure she was suitably impressed.
  22. I would not have guessed that.
