  1. They sell brylcreem at Walmart.
  2. I’d say Montero. Though given the insanity of the free agent market this year, it doesn’t look as bad now as it did when it was signed.
  3. No, not at all.
  4. There’s the actual difference. (Laura Prepon and Wilmer Valderrama were both teenagers too.)
  5. Mila Kunis was 14 when she was cast.
  6. Man versus man, man versus dog, dog versus zombie, James Bond, stories of kings and lords, women over 50 finding themselves after divorce, and car commercial.
  7. I switched to using a quill and ink bottle for the same reason.
  8. It’s sarcasm. But it’s a reference to another poster who does actually believe that.
  9. One of those things is not like the other.
  10. Not only that, if you're actually good at being a server, that would almost certainly mean taking a pay cut.
  11. Even the Russians freed the serifs in the 1860s. It's unconscionable that we have clung to them for so long.
  12. You lost the board on this one.
  13. Even if you aren’t for your parking, you are for inviting people to tell you if they think you are in the very first sentence of the op and then arguing that you don’t care and/or defending yourself against that charge in multiple posts. But you are for the parking, too.
  14. And if they’d done that before last season, they’d have chosen poorly.
  15. Thats not how it works lol. He isn't better than Abreu right now. He is younger with a whole lot longer career left.....maybe.....dude can't even stay healthy at 25 Supposed “bottom 10” CF Chas McCormick was better both offensively and defensively last season.
  16. I’d say he’s likely top 10. If he’d have played all of his games in CF last season, his wRC+ would have ranked 6th (and that’s counting Judge as a CF). Bottom 10 is laughable.
  17. And I think Houston probably would have gone to something like 7/235 if he’d agreed to that at the time.
  18. Yeah, to be clear I don’t mean that I think he was personally arrogant, but that perception exists among other organizations because he had the audacity to not do things the “right” way. (So, ironically, it’s really more about the arrogance of owners.)
  19. I’m not sure if that’s from the top down or if it’s just the consensus of the owners, though. Luhnow was unconventional and arrogant, and-worst of all-he backed it up. There’s a lot of lingering resentment and just plain jealousy at work there, I think.
  20. I’ve never had any of those things happen except moths, once, about a dozen years ago. So I got a cedar chest and it’s never happened since. I’d argue wool holds its shape, wears better, and shrinks MUCH less than cotton.
  21. If Chase Daniel can carve out a 14 season (and counting) career as a backup, there’s no reason Ehlinger can’t. But that actually *is* about catching a break, I’d say.
