  1. I tend to think Pena committed so many errors largely for the same reason Jeter committed so few: range (or lack of it). He gets to a lot of balls that most players-including Correa-can’t. That’s something that defensive metrics will value. That said, Correa at 1B is still obviously a silly idea.
  2. Without looking it up, haven’t they allowed 1 run in like 8.2 innings?
  3. Verlander has 4 playoff starts against the Yankees with Houston: 3-1, 29.2 IP, 2.16 ERA You might want to inform them that he sucks, they don't seem to have realized it.
  4. I'm not sure that's accurate anymore. It seems he's made some adjustments after his midseason slump. Is the worst version of Jeremy Peña behind us? - The Crawfish Boxes
  5. A lot better if you aren't showering twice everyday, according to experts.
  6. I'd be more impressed if he could get them to run block.
  7. There’s more to being a great QB than arm talent. You’d have probably drafted Ryan Leaf over Peyton.
  8. I think the Broncos would look great if they wore their color rush uniforms full-time, except swap in white pants for the orange. Basically the old uniforms you're talking about but with navy replacing royal blue. Good way to tie the cleaner, timeless design of the past with the colors of the era they won their Super Bowls.
  9. You're not wrong, but given that they basically wear that look now with just a couple of modifications, I don't know that it's relevant to include them in throwback conversations.
  10. Neither Peyton nor Eli left early (and Eli even redshirted, so he was at Ole Miss 5 years). I know some things have changed in the last 20 years, but it’s not like both of those guys weren’t already consensus top picks had the come out early. I wouldn’t just assume he’s 3 years and done.
  11. Has Brockermyer even played a snap since week 1? I know you’re joking, but I don’t think he’s missing any tackles on the bench.
  12. Everyone who is capable of doing this does it. As they should.
  13. Eh. It wasn’t great, but points on 6/9 possessions and no turnovers. The secondary was a much greater frustration.
  14. I’d disagree with the assessment on the Gurriel deal. They gave him a 1 yr deal last year for $7 mil and he massively outperformed that. Picking up his $8 mil option then was a no-brainer. It hasn’t paid off this season, obviously, but I don’t think it’s accurate to say he was signed for too many years when it was a 1 year deal with an option.
  15. Today, sure. In 2026? It’s not impossible, but it’s unlikely.
  16. I’d prefer he just keep picking his spots and spending his money wisely.
  17. It helps if you actually read what I wrote and was responding to before typing a lot of inane, irrelevant drivel. I’m not arguing anything at all about Card vs. Ewers, simply that we’re not incapable of beating any other FBS team with Card at QB, which is literally what was stated.
  18. It’s not like there was a big lead that got whittled away. Giving Ewers credit for the score on the drive he was injured, it was tied when Card entered. So he is capable of staying within a point of #1 on one leg-and leading a drive that put us ahead with just over a minute to go-but can’t beat the likes of UTSA and Tech? 🤨
  19. In my dreams, Osborne decides to try pull a Bill Snyder.
  20. Yeah, I was totally serious about accusing you of being a racist with that gif. Well done. I should have expected no less from the same dizzying intellect who thinks posting a scouting report that questions his ability to get outside the pocket, extend plays, and run for plus yards somehow supports his point.
  21. I don’t think Murphy is thought of as much of a dual threat.
  22. We went to field turf before the 09 season.
