  1. If you really don't support a system where you can't duck anyone, then you should want to stay in the Big 12.
  2. No one should have to register for the draft. But if you’re going to require it of men, then it should be required of women too.
  3. Kentucky has more conference wins in the last 5 seasons than Mizzou, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee, or South Carolina.
  4. Also known as every season of the Big XII South. What a novelty.
  5. I always thought that too. Now I’m trying to reconcile that with entering the SEC. It doesn’t really work.
  6. I hate this idea.
  7. You’d think the “default” theme would be on by default if you’d never charged it. You’d be wrong.
  8. Could you repeat that, sir?
  9. What will it take for you to stop trolling? A crowdsource ban, I imagine.
  10. You have to have a billionaire dog.
  11. Which is why it wasn’t an argument against the book.
  12. That may not be what the book says, but it is what the authors said in an interview.
  13. I get encouraging people to make healthier food choices, but lamenting ice cream being sweet kind of loses the thread for me.
  14. Did it? As a wise man responded early on, “I have no idea what we’re supposed to discuss.”
  15. I was thinking his positive reinforcement might be what’s keeping them fat.
  16. I haven’t read the book yet either, but there was some brief discussion of it on another thread recently. Revising the mythical version of the Alamo (and the “Texas Revolution” more generally) so that there’s an understanding that slavery was one of the causes is good; the authors seemed, however, based on an interview with them, to go too far to make their idealogical point, arguing (paraphrasing) that Santa Anna was a good guy who just wanted liberal democracy to flourish if not for these white dudes in Texas (ignoring that multiple other Mexican states were in rebellion against his tyranny). At any rate, there should be free and open discussion of scholarly ideas without politicians getting involved.
  17. I’d pretty much agree with that too.
  18. I’d agree with that.
  19. I don’t see why it’s more worthless than blanket statements like “we have a 6-3 court.” Both seem pretty simplistic.
  20. There were half a dozen different 6-3 alignments this term.
  21. I expected nothing less of your keen insight.
  22. I’ll try to remember to leave my next of kin instructions to answer that to your satisfaction in the event of my death.
