I’ll admit, I’m no expert, and really can't evaluate the play by play as some have. As a fan, I don’t feel great about Quinn’s performance as a game manager and it has been painful to watch our second half of games this year. Losing to Georgia was a team effort, but as a veteran QB and one of the highest-paid players on the team, I feel like Quinn should be doing more. To me, he doesn’t seem elite or have the "it" factor and turns the ball over too much for a game manager.
When I compare his stats to some random SEC QBs (not even the best ones) and past game managers who won it all, he doesn't measure up. He’s a major liability in the run game and has been turnover-prone. I know some people blame the O-line, the WRs, or even Sark’s play-calling, but the thing is, we’ll never know if Arch could’ve done better because he didn’t get a real shot. That is why some of us are probably more critical than others. I hope he proves us wrong but I have also been hoping for Arch to get some meaningful playing time when Quinn falls apart. Neither seems to be happening and it's frustrating with our great defense as we could win it all.
