  1. Unlimited breadsticks & salsa? Unlimited chips & salad? BUT WHY? Uh, corporate had some excess inventory and decided to find new ways to off-load it.
  2. 'Brotox'? More like 'Blowtox', amirite? No, I will not make out with you /billyM
  3. Who "pinned"? Who said what, for realz?
  4. So I Zoom'd into a new meeting tonight. And my work zoom full-name populated and nothing worked to change it my usual name (given first name, first initial of last name). How the fuck do you change that? I don't recall that ever being an issue other than I was clicking on a meeting time/location for the first time. And let me know slowly, 'cause I'm not good with software. Anyone know of a hepatologist focusing on folks like us Austin (last one I was referred to was more liver cancer/younger folks)? Despite it having been awhile since my last relapse, my new PCP isn't happy with my progress over the last year in terms of blood results. Neither am I. As long as I've gone this stretch, he reminds me "yeah, but you're also a year older." Touche' Doc. So that's end of month whoever he ends up referring. You see so many folks that did it so much rougher and for way longer. Others that only did it a few years and went south. I'm somewhere in the middle. But my anxiety about it all is really ramping up lately. Not in terms of wanting a drink (which is weird), but the "I knew I'd pay for this later, but I just hoped the progress I made not just in staying dry but in improved overall health. Anyway thanks for listening and somebody tell me how the hell to just be able to toggle between my work zoom account name and my meetings one. thanks
  5. Oh shit, I think I had some of those vehicles around 3rd grade (that truck and a jeep). I remember the bad guys were called VENOM, because apparently the name COBRA was already taken. Was MASK the toy line that had that mountain they could drive into and close off to still look like a mountain and if the bad guys showed up, you could hit a little button and a huge boulder came rolling down to crush them?
  6. How can he be a criminal mastermind and diabolical schemer if he can't stay up past 6:00p? Yeah, but why is this sloped roof thing so baffling to people? It's Pennsylvania. It snows there, lots of industrial buildings have slightly sloped roofs to keep the roofs from collapsing after heavy snow. Were they expecting a building to flat and on stilts like Gulf Shores or something? Usually, the "experts" talk about caliber, and weapon type, and security lapses, and all that. Just moronic conspiracy theories. I think the lead investigatory agency on the incident is now Centimark Roofing Co. outta Pittsburgh since the other three agencies are busy building training courses around A-frame chalets.
  7. Your seat search came back. A Mr. Joe Davola and guest sat there?
  8. Looks like we lose the three top HS commits, and three roster players? Not sure how to scan the tracker to see if anybody portal'd here and then still stayed in the draft.
  9. Matt, "Only came to Milwaukee to do things McCarthy. Drink some beers and kick some ass! Looks like we're almost outta beer." Other Guy, "Dude, get the hell outta here. You're being an asshole."
  10. He could have said that same thing 4 years ago and We'd crack wise, "Oh, How in the hell can these people become more unhinged than they already are?" And 2024, we are left with slumped shoulders, mumbling, "Yeah, that checks out. Should be a fun four years."
  11. Considering Abbott spent $1,300 per bus boarder crossers to midwest cities. Can you imagine what the fucking bill is gonna be for 105 officers round-trip flight to Milwaukee plus 3 nights hotel for all of them, and per diem for food. and ground transportation. If the Texas delegation has to stay all the way out in Madison and get bussed in, these guys are gonna be in Rhinelander. There's no way this doesn't up costing several hundred thousands of dollars. Are they even 100 seats left to go to Milwaukee today? And everybody coming back to Texas on Friday? I guess he didn't think to plan this out ahead just like hurricane prep because of his well documented love of Korean food. Staffer, "Governor...it may not be a good look to pull officers out of Austin given your comments about how unsafe that city is and needs more police?" Abbott, "Well Karen, I can't very well send cops from Uvalde."
  12. I think 'Hillbilly Elegy' & Jenna's 'The Rural Juror" exist in the same cinematic universe. Obviously acting is acting and you keep the rest of the world out during the craft if you want to do the job well. But there are some seriously left-leaning cast members in the film that must be seeing these clips of J.D. want to prohibit abortion, a woman's role in the home, and worshipping Trump. Thinking, "Well none of this shit was in the book!"
  13. It's why when you come home from a trip, and had set the A/C to 90 or the Furnace to 50, you don't just turn the system back to 70 with a hard start. It's horrible on the capacitor, too.
  14. According to CareBear lore, if you use their cartoons to reference their height against other known objects/human characters. They're 3'tall, so like 'vance short.' However, they're much more cheery than J.D. and they don't have beards, just fur and this cleanly distributed. Using similar scalability, Ewoks were a little taller, closer to Vance's height. Their moppy fur did have a pronounced density around their faces. Plus they're really fucking mean and aggressive for half the movie. So I think he's a Maga Ewok. J.D., wouldn't Trump being "America's Hitler", make you "America's Goring"? Do you know original punishment Goring was sentenced to. Hint, Mike Pence knows this one.
  15. Well played, but the judges were looking for New Caledonia time. If there's three things MAGA and I know about the Old Testament: 1. The whole thing takes place in what are now two concurrent timezones. Yet, God became obsessed with the Eastern Time Zone, specifically between March & November. Months that Cesaer invented. You know Cesar, the Roman guy who led before Tiberius who ordered the death of Christ. 2. God was clearly into guns. You always knew when a plague had occurred, because all the scribes would gather to discuss how big the locusts were, how high the parted sea got, what caliber ammo was used. 3. It's a myth that the Old Testament was written in Hebrew and Aramaic. It was written in English, so all this Numerology is based on a language that wouldn't be spoken in the region for another 500 years. Fun non-political fact. Since his private high school chapel and probably some sort of compulsory chapel (at the time) at Penn. For 55 years after that, in a handful of locations in Manhattan and 1 in Florida, Trump has lived within a 5-mile radius of several dozen church of myriad faiths. And he's never been an actual member of any one of them. Obviously he's been in churches for weddings, funerals, photo ops. But you have to try really fucking hard in Manhattan to not find a church to join because it's too far. .
  16. What do you got there. 15? 16? -whatever it takes well you certainly know your stuff Mr mom. I mean, Mr President.
  17. Mmm, sounds like it could be second favorite horse-based stew after:
  18. "President Trump. We have the call sheet of the family of the man shot at the rally. As well as the personal lines of those still suffering injuries. Whenever you're ready." -Meh, cancel it. I wanna call RFKJR and maybe see what the Milwaukee Burger King situation is. I thought it was really weird that RFK JR kept referring to the exchange as being "taping with an in-house videographer." -Uh, do you mean your son?
  19. President Mokhber, "I want him eliminated. We have sleeper elite IRG agents in the American North who we could activate. We have a few turned American assets whom we could use your leverage against, plus they don't look brown. Or simply a plant Iranian-American sympathetic to our mission who could sit in the "diversity" section of the rally. What do you suggest, General?" IRG General, "Best we can do is a kid who got cut from his high school rifle team with a ladder and a really cool t-shirt." Mokhber, "Your command is terminated!" "It's not that tough a shot if we get him a scope to train on, Mr. President! Would you at least take a look at the shirt? It's bad-as!"
  20. The way that MAGA continually deflects that she's a former woman-on-woman photo shoot model is one thing. But the anti-immigrant crowd, as you say, despite not having any idea difference between Slovenia and Slovakia---deflects her immigrant status. She is white, but she's also from one of those counties a bit further East than they're comfortable with. But she's "White Enough" to not really be an immigrant. It reminds me of the scene in Borat when the redneck has no idea what Borat's country's name is, or that it it's both Europe & Asia. But the guy says, "Well, I don't anything about that. But you know, you shave that mustache...would be just white enough to blend in with good folks in America." Vance is gonna have a real time tough time listening to wisecracks about Kamala's mom being from India, and then asking J.D. to echo that talking point. Meanwhile, Vance just to smile and wave while gritting his teeth (you know my wife is Indian and her parents are from the same area in India as Kamala's mom was." In the end, they all break. But for a 8 inch differential in height, how the fuck does every photo of them today make it look like Trump and Vance are the same height?
  21. Wait, so is God on Jerusalem local time, or Central Daylight Time?
  22. "You know what's going on here, don't you? Handjobs." /dondraper
  23. Like they took 20 years to update their margin of error, like they took 20 years to figure out not everybody can answer their home land-line on a Thursday at 3pm. Polling groups need to start figuring out how to differentiate "Undecided/Don't Know" & "Not Voting." ~40% of citizens 18+, just aren't gonna vote. Most of them don't want to admit that, so they hide behind "I'm Undecided." Well north of 100,000,000 people just aren't voting, and the vast majority know it already. There's zero statistical chance that, using their numbers, 25% of about 65mm people are gonna wake up Election Day with an informed decision. I don't know the Stats solution to this (was never a good grade for me). But there are way too many examples over the last ten years that prove their models just aren't what they used to be. 30% for R, 30% for D (EC decides a tight one), and 40% in the middle who ask, "What if my election lasts longer than four hours, do I call my doctor?"
  24. I'd play your Angry Birds origin story video game.
  25. There is a team at CDC, NIH, and the White House working up a plan for this for the next five months. And it will only be seen by the bottom of a garbage can.
