Pastor, "Hey, look on the bright side folks...rain on your wedding day is good luck from God." Couple, "It's not just rain, your holiness. It's a Cat 5 that's going to kill us all." Pastor, "There is no God."

Yeah, but the problem with chopping up a body into 6-8 chunks and disposing of it one waterway is yeah, it's easier to dump. But it also extrapolates the number of opportunities for some boater or cop or swimmer to find one the pieces. In this CSI day and age, you get rid of the body on the whole. And you get law enforcement/coroner's office to do it for you. This ain't rocket surgery. People buy plane tickets with a pre-paid debit card at a public library computer with a Covid mask, hat, and sunglasses, having walked there...every single day. Somebody even walks to the airline kiosk for a hefty sum and scans in their passport or GE card that is faked. But walks back out because they forgot something in their car. And the other party involved winds up dead, but appears to have gone abroad. Since the advent of CCTV, internet footprints, digital payments, and social media posts---it's actually easier to disappear people than it used to be in the analog age because nobody looks for the old-school clues. Though rare, a pay phone, a pre-paid debit card, and a public computer with hundreds of users per day---you'd be shocked what you can accomplish with nobody the wiser. -
The senior/flag officers don't pledge an oath to case law precedent---even from SCOTUS, they pledge it to the Constitution. The vast majority of them will honor that oath and refuse to operate within our borders for non-defensive purposes. The real shitshow begins when the minority of senior/flag officers operate under an Executive Order that indicates persons of color, undocumented residents, LBGTQ+, Muslims, recent Asian immigrants, et. al to be removed or encamped; and our Armed Forces goes to war with itself. On our own soil. We are going to fix it so we suffocate ourselves and then blame the "different" people for forcing our hand. And that's when the citizen 'militias' emerge, to support the "National Defense" and we have military-on-citizenry violence on U.S. grass. This how it begins, the battle theater could be gamed out in weeks, not months. There are only two ways out of this---get the middle 25mm Trump voters to have a substantial portion of that stay home in November out of disgust, or have him die. The third option, is far more grim. Arrange it so they go to war with one another on our lands, and watch unimaginable innocent Americans die in the conflict. While our enemies laugh and laugh, without having fired a round.

It's like Elvis said in "True Romance"--------'Man, getting away with it is the easy part. It's the killing that's hard.' One of the truest lines Quentin ever wrote. An EMT or Coroner or Hospice to get rid of the body, it's comically easy. Carrying the burden of getting a person to end their life, and worrying about an overly-zealous relative or friend who won't accept what happened, that's the hard part. -
Yes, they're talking about it. It's a campaign tactic and will likely have legs early on in the administration. But the Joint Chiefs will knock it down before it gets out of the building. But this simulation continues to surprise even my demented ass. Best two ways to get to Commander Dipshit, are a JSOC team abroad when he travels to his resorts. Or the food supply at Mar-a-Lago or his 757 caterer. Since McKinley over 120 years ago, they've guarded the food chain that the First Family consumes. Trump is the first one since McKinley to ignore those directives and just eat what the Mar-a-Lago kitchen sends up to him from local suppliers and caterers. Lot easier than a high-floor shot at a moving target. Somebody's gonna have to step up and do what's best for the Republic. I'm fucking great at getting into places I shouldn't be at like a Food Distributor or Catering Kitchen that then delivers to Mar-a-Lago after I disappear. Drawback is I got a C in Biology and a C in Chemistry. I'd probably screw it up and a dozen innocent people at a Bar Mitzvah would die.

24-month backlog on rape kits at DPS. 24-month backlog on DNA analysis on Rainey Street deaths by APD. 24-month backlog on Internal Affairs cases at Travis County Sheriff's office. But Black guy inquiring as to what he's being detains all mouthy 'n shit? Shot dead in 24 seconds. What a time to be in the Lone Star Republic of Justice and Freedom. -
No sitting President, even Commander Dipshit Trump, is going to deploy the U.S. Military on American soil. Nor will Biden or whomever wins in 2028. But last I checked, Trump still travels abroad from time to time to play golf at his resorts. USSOCOM has embedded teams all over the world who know the language, local customs, and grids. A 8-person security detail on Trump in a foreign country would be no match for them. Nobody would like it, but it's by far not the hardest target ever reached on foreign lands by JSOC.

You guys with the fucking inept comparisons to Reagan and Hitler and Stalin and Mussolini and Bush. It's not the similarities that are troubling, it's the differences. You're comparing Trump to dictators and bad leaders who operated completely with historically tyrannical norms. But with intent. This guy is doing it, without even knowing it, as a workout clause with a bank and a court. But yeah, let's have a "turn out the vote" concert for the youth, that should course correct thousands of years of despotism. -
So like a literal "Mad Max: Ragin Cajun" sequel? Crack wise all you want; but firearms, nuclear warheads, and sharpie markers. That's how you get out of a hurricane shitshow.

Reboot? I thought "there can be only one" ??? I'll myself out.

But what if they're from Illinois? We've exhausted this discussion as Lobo is wont to do. There has been tyranny, royalism, fascism, and nationalism for the last 250 years. I don't worry about the similarities between Trump and those other rulers. Those comparisons have been beaten to death and are of no import or historical significance at this stage in the game. Those rulers and despots either pandered to the poor and down-trodden to create a revolution and seize power or catered to the elites (business & military) to unify a coalition with which to gain power. Trump's 25mm top voters vote straight R down ballot all the way. Always have, always will. Trump brought out the bottom 25mm as despots do, from catering to the disenfranchised to vote for "Drain the Establishment" because they'll buy into it. He is good at exploiting their bigotry and paranoia about the fate of their nation. But the middle 25mm, this is where it veers completely away from historical norms. He tells middle class, suburban people that their lives are awful and he will make it better. He, and he alone. Trump will make your life better like it used to be, which is actually how it is right now. He makes educated suburbanites in the middle, stupid but educated, that everything is wrong with their lives. thousands of dictators have bored out the model of rising up the poor masses or the wealthy elites to gain control. What makes Trump singularly unique is he got tens of millions in the middle that everything was a disaster. And unlike most ruthless sociopaths, he doesn't even know that he did it. That's why it works.

good point. Those Oakley's that fell and cracked on the floor of their F-250 ain't gonna repair themselves for free. A man needs his dollars! -
I am in awe that ArmyBrat can down tex-mex and booze like that at his age with a heart condition like a fucking boss. I had chicken enchiladas several days ago and I'm still miserable and I am 1/37th his age. Cheers, brutha! I don't know where to put this random Lobo thought (redundant, I know). But Aster's Ethiopian Food. We drove by it last night on the way to campus, and I drive by it drive by it frequently when heading to campus for other events. There's never a single car in the parking lot, neon sign says "OPEN", everybody says it's the most delicious, authentic African food in Austin, but I've never talked to anyone who has ever actually gone there in person Also-as expressed upthread, Matt's El Rancho continues to be over-praised and underwhelming. But, like Chuy's...they got staying power so don't go...but you gotta tip your hat.

Mister Poster, are you a cop? Because if I ask you, you are legally required to self-identify. Asking for a friend, of course. This town is simply amazing. Six years spending 6-figures to figure out if a mini-train can fit under the Barton Springs Road tunnel (who knew tape measures cost that much?), 8-figures buying hotels for the homeless that nobody stays in and offer no mental health services, and millions spent on engineering and legal advice to tell us the way after the election and way after the the breaking-dirt ceremony that the airport light rail will leave you somewhere between 183 & Riverside where you can hoof it the rest of the way to the terminal. But we can't rub together $7,500 bucks to put a few cameras along Town Lake between IH-35 and South 1st Street bridges? It makes my teeth itch when uninformed "students of history" whine about why we spend money overseas when we have so many problems here at home. When in fact, our Foreign Aid has hovered around 1% of our discretionary spending budget for decades. But we can't spend a few bucks on what is obviously a dumping area for dead bodies for the last few years? If you include the bodies they haven't found yet, we're close to two dozen over the last few years in an area not much bigger than our football stadium. We need to start a True Crime Surly Podcast soon and monetize this like "Only Murders in the Building" before we miss our window. Lotta hooks and blow to be purchased next season of the SEC. And yes, in this timeline, "SEC" stands for Sexually Exhausted Crimes. -

Man, June was rough. Going back to my regular meetings tonight. I really missed swimming. It was not just good for me health-wise, but helped me get out my usual mental state of bullshit. But my daughter got this skin infection from her church school, and I got it. Doctor says I'm more vulnerable to it because of previous organ damage. So I can't get into the pool because of the chemicals onto my skin. So I'm walking a lot more and riding my bike. Says I need more Vitamin D, but the shitty part is, this time of year---I sweat and that irritates the shit outta my arms/legs. I really wish this was happening last February instead. I knew there'd be hell to pay down the road for a decade of heavy drinking. Hopefully, it'll just be another month or so according to the prescription and I can move on to the next problem and the one after that. I know recovery was going to be hard. And I need to step up my game on a daily basis. But I did not have "Hottest Summer Ever to irritate your skin ailment from your kid's school because you drank too much three years ago" on my 2024 Recovery Bingo Card.

He was the best way to extract the malignant tumor that was Donald Trump. Then the Democratic Party had four years of sitting in the chemo chair to come up with a way to get healthy again, and fucked it all up. Party in-fighting this close to the convention is not a great look, but neither is Joe. Anything, anything at all to defeat Trump is all that matters. If that means Newsom takes one for the team, or Joe snorts an 8-ball before his acceptance speech and dies in late January, or Pete has to eat some pussy to look masculine...whatever the fuck it takes. The calendar of trials and grifts, as I've said, is slowly killing Trump. But the calendar is eerily hanging over Biden. Not age, but in terms of when to make a move to protect the Republic. -

If you had told me ten years ago there would be a thing called a "Video Podcast" which would have girls who became internet famous for pretending to spit on mushroom-shaped mics talking about a game-show host who would later on have his mushroom shaped dick spit on a pornstar before going on become President of the United States for quite possibly two terms after putting nuclear secrets on top of his toilet tank because he has to sit to pee because he doesn't know where his spit-mushroom dick is aiming if he stands, I'd have said you were insane. But congrats, today---you're a GOP delegate at the Convention. Miracles happen all around us, folks. -
