  1. They are thousands of NATO officials, both military and civilian/political pouring into offices from at this very moment as their workday begins. They are reading the news and watching clips of our POTUS debate. And they are shitting themselves. From Libson to Adana, from Bergen to Athens. There isn't an unclenched butthole in the whole of NATO leadership right now. Moldova and the Baltic Nation-States are next. All he needed was a tiny bit of propagandist inspiration to draw more troops and more TacOps support. And now he has it. Going to be a long summer in theater.
  2. Hey what if we gave Beto another 9-figure check and encouraged RBG to Stay on the bench. That’s a sound strategy, right?
  3. My lord, when Tom Arnold is hosting an e-intervention for you despite how much he hates you...you have truly reached rock bottom.
  4. Leave an elementary-aged kid in a car for 70 seconds on a hot Texas day in May, while you run inside to grab a soda while pumping gas. 12 months of prison, another 12 years of CPS probation. Leave dozens of elementary-aged kids in a school building for 70 minutes on a hot Texas day in May, to be shot beyond all but DNA recognition. You get an award from Dan Patrick. When the first one of these guys gets held legally accountable or offs himself, I know many of you will be lining the highways to salute his funeral motorcade. And much as I'd love to be there to taunt you, I'll be too busy doing drugs
  5. You know, I get that legacy media is still wading through uncharted waters. But if after 9 years, you can't figure out how to monetize Trump...you're not going to. You're not gonna focus group your way into shareholder wealth and prestige after this much time. You just pivot on your own dicks and fuck up democracy in real time. I'd rather you just be shallow, transparent, and rich than continue this nearly decade-long charade. You don't get why he's a thing, we don't get why he's a thing, he brought out 25mm voters that live and work at Dollar General and they're not really buying a lot of ad space within your sphere of influence. I get it. But eventually, just cut the losses and move the fuck on. Even MSNBC is like "Yeah, we're just gonna have Maddow teach about the Sykes-Picot act and it's ramifications on contemporary relations with Israel and Kamala Harris. Y'all figure the rest of it the fuck out." For god's sake, even the NY Post is throwing in the towel, "Yeah, old weird dude versus other old weird dude we used to cover back in the day. Meanwhile, there's a Perv in Queens!"
  6. I'm picturing Alberts asking the guy like in "My Cousin Vinny" 'So how long you been practicing baseball law?' -Almost six weeks.
  7. Dude, you've voted for him IRL. Just man up to it. 74mm other people did it, too. It's a curious decision, but sometimes we gotta vote our industry. But this incessant deflection is just embarrassing fo you. This site probably every once in awhile drive people to extreme ends. I'm still about where I started, but just more zero'd in on small changes. You took a wildcatter gamble and thought embracing the cruel stupids would help you out, and now it's come back to be a burden to your reputation. That's okay. We all make mistakes. Just don't double down on it, which is exactly what I'd tell these dipshit protestors on UT's campus---I'm sure we're 20 minutes away from them declaring the war in Hamas is about oil.
  8. So this is a joke then, because there's no such college and certainly not a baseball program? Dammit, we should get in on these grifts at the ground floor and scam the stupids. "Look here 12th Man Foundation, for just $100,000---we can form an exploratory committee and provide travel for them to go and recruit top coaches from elite programs like DPU, Texas College, Baseball of University, Southwest North Dakota State, and other institutions of acclaim."
  9. That's just it, there's no need for a play-by-play. All the soundbites each side needs will be beaten into our heads by this time tomorrow. I can tell you their answers before it starts. What I'm watching for is Trump's body language, temperament when engaging with the moderators, and how he handles being frequently cutoff. He'll be his usual bully self and probably go up in the polls despite rambling like a fucking moron. But you can objectively tell he's been on a steady decline the last year or so. And this experience, polling aside, will only feed the plague eating away from within him. I enjoy watching bad people suffer physically. Brings me great joy.
  10. Any one of them could have just used common core math as a shortcut, which is also the long way. 10X6, and then 7X6 and add 'em. A normal person moves in between mathematical systems. Sometimes you just know it by rote, sometimes by breaking down a problem into a smaller parts, sometimes up-counting/down-counting, sometimes just 'writing' out the equation in our head and taking a moment to visualize the solution as if it were on paper. Or sometimes you just yell a falsehood loud and frequently enough, and people follow along. Like a tariff on bleach. Also, Sarah Cooper has gotten quite busty since I last saw her. She have an onlyfans page?
  11. Oh, I agree. Most of 'em are dipshits who couldn't find Gaza on a map or describe what "Hamas" is. And they are certainly old enough to live with the ramifications of their behavior. But to be fair to them, several of these young people were pretty roughed up by police and didn't need to be. There's force posturing and then there's just being fucking assholes. But, as you say, they answer for it all the same in an interview one day soon. I was directly in front of the dozens of Free Palestine protestors at the Bari Weiss talk at LBJ a few months back. Little too close for comfort. I'm losing my edge, but I'm still just barely young and big enough to handle myself, and it got fucking weird for a minute before UTPD was all over them. Most of them were just chanting and holding signs and Palestinian flags and that's all well and good, I'm for robust debate in academia. And Bari handled it well. But there was a few folks there holding the green&white militant Hamas flag, who were clearly plants. And they got real fucking awkward real fucking quick. It went from "Well it's interesting to hearing from Kate McKinnon's ex-girlfriend discuss Middle Eastern affairs whilst seated near UT luminaries to "Oh shit, like I'm gonna have to fight my outta this and explain to my wife while I was on camera brawling with college kids."
  12. Look man, a lot of violinists accidentally fall down staircases in Shanghai.
  13. "team Rex & Hartzell"? That sounds like the lamest band ever. I'll leave it to the law dogs to explain, but since many of the arrests were made by UTPD and DPS (both state, not local Law Enforcement agencies), and made on state lands/properties...there could have been a case made against these young people by someone other than Travis County. Yet they didn't make an attempt. Do your own research.
  14. Yeah, I know we've discussed this ad nauseam. Plenty of people who know who they voted for and why and live with the justification of why they did it. Millions of Americans can justify crimes, adultery, procrastination, misdemeanors, substance abuse, and self-harm each and every day. We're hard-wired for it. But at some point, we all keep doing shit wrong and realize as we look in the mirror and think "You can't keep doing this, you're better than this. have some dignity." Of course, most of the time...we stay on the wrong path but at least have some modicum of inflection. We have these massive, though woefully underused brains, inside of our skull. So large that we have to come out early due to our cranial size so as not to kill the mother. There is willful ignorance and then there's where we are right now---tens of millions of people that simply don't know what the fuck they're doing. There's many doing it for selfish reasons, I get it---just as natural a human behavior as denial. But it's biologically impossible that there are this many people among us who can contain and worship two completely opposite thoughts and move seamlessly between them at the drop of a hat, depending on the venue and convenience. Every competent adult I know can speak to a child or an operator and a waiter or a cashier in an appropriate fashion. They will then pause for a nano-second, and speak to their spouse or a co-worker or friend in altogether different fashion. It's in our DNA. We know not to tell the child there is no Easter Bunny, to tell our spouse they're looking older, or the cashier that their service sucks. We can bounce back and forth with ease, for the sake of civilization. But there are now tens of millions of Americans who can look at Joe Biden and Donald Trump and are incapable of volleying the ball across the table? The guy who thinks Nikki Haley was to blame for January 6th because she was on drugs from Ronny Johnson and accidentally released too many sharks to attack electric boats in the Swamp and the other guy is a senile coke addict who can't find Delaware on a map but somehow manages a cartel? How in the wide wide world of fucking fucks?
  15. To be fair to Comer, the Kentucky Ag Commissioner tends to forget things due to being whacked out on Kentucky sour mashed corn and Thoroughbred Horse tranquilizers from the Vet subcommittee.
  16. It's the ultimate proof of "Cognitive Dissonance." Reminds me of that SNL sketch about the pro-drug Olympics where Nealon says, "Not only are performance-enhancing drugs allowed, in fact----they're encouraged." How can Biden be on the Bradley Cooper drug "Limitless" but also wander off into the forest during public appearances? I get the duality of belief. I know it's likely not true in one part of my brain, but I give myself over to a higher power in another part of my brain to help me with my own shit. But how is Biden hopped up on super-drugs, yet stuttering into senility, while running a deep-state criminal empire, yet falling down staircases while beating an Orange God in most swing states? We all rationalize bad decisions because we're human. But at some point, we at least become self-aware enough to know that we're full of shit on justifying this next piece of cake, next cocktail, next porn search. We do it anyway, but at least we know. Are these fucking idiots just stepping over the justification portion of crisis management, or do they legit not get what they're doing?
  17. So the vaunted, yet unidentified A&M 12th man, is literally a bot? But we don't live in a simulation? Anybody else wanna hit of acid?
  18. That was really cool. Kid's gonna be playing that video for chicks and slaying ass for then next 20 years. I don't remember how they phrased it, but this judge at the Yehudi Menuhin competition in Austin back in 2014 IIRC. It's like the Olympics of classical music. It moves around the world every 2-4 years and features young people playing stringed instruments (mainly violin). I think there was a 10-14 bracket and then 14-18 bracket. But this German judge we hosted explained to me her purpose was to decipher which musicians could simply replicate the music by rote, from exhaustive rehearsal and recital. She could spot them within seconds. Like half their medalists go on to play first chair in prominent symphonies around the world within a few years. But she said, particularly in the younger group, there are musicians that may struggle a bit with the hand-eye coordination test of instrumentation because their bodies are growing and changing, but that she can pick up on somebody that has the "music in their bones", that they're not trying to look rehearsed and polished, they're just trying to remember something they've always known. She said it in German, which I can speak a bit of, but that's the gist. And sure enough, one young man came in 3rd but she told us he'd be the most prominent out of the entire competition. She personally donated a Stradivarius violin to him. He now plays with the Beijing Symphony Orchestra and will likely make First Chair before he's 30. this young 'Slash" kid seems to have the same knack. There is technical prowess to learn and practice. But in the end, either the music lives in your heart. Or it doesn't. /csb
  19. Trump gotta flip that shit, topsy-turvy that mother-fucking moderator. Reverse that shit:
  20. So the batter that is butter is better than the hebrew hasidic helper? I have that right? And what the fuck with Jesus only being seen on tortillas de harina? You don't see him literally pop up on Simit bread, or Pita, or Lavash. Dude only stuck around one area his whole life, but his image always occurs on half-assed Northern Mexico HEB tortillas (if they're even open) and on one of the unleavened products of his actual region of origin. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a Virgen de Guadalupe image I have to squeegee off my bathroom mirror. God bless her.
  21. Yeah, I remember an interview printed a few years back where Woody Harrelson talks about his encounters with Mike Pence in college. And it made me think about the time Dan Quayle rolled through my college campus during the Florida governor's race. The guy across the hall from me (Nate) was from Indiana and dated Quayle's daughter through out high school and they remained on good terms. So he invites me to go with him and Dan and his entourage to Steak 'n Shake for lunch. I didn't say much, just listened. Dan came across as you would expect, a dumbass, but an educated and patriotic dumbass. To learn that 25 years later, he played a prominent role in saving our Democratic Republic blows my mind. Mike Pence basically did a gameshow "Phone-a-Friend" to Dan Quayle, who miraculously got the answer right to prevent a literal gameshow host from illegally seizing power over our country. And I stood in line with Dan while he inquired with the cashier if they could put the chili directly onto a basket of french friend potatoes. I should have known at that moment, that none of this was real. But I was young and dumb. I'm still dumb, but I at least became self-aware. Last week, I was at a breakfast roundtable with some people most of you would despise. But had to do it for work. A few seats over from me was Jack Ryan. Jack doesn't take his Star Trek wife to sex clubs against her wishes, Obama doesn't win that Senate seat (at least in that timeframe). Obama doesn't win the Senate seat then (he would have eventually), he doesn't beat Hillary in 2008 and go on to serve two terms as POTUS. Trump doesn't get the birther movement/grilling at Correspondent's dinner. Trump likely still rouses up the demented disenfranchised base, but doesn't have enough momentum to beat an incumbent McCain or Romney or even a Jeb Bush, who lost the 1994 Florida Governor's race that Dan Quayle visited Central Florida and took me to lunch. Signs and Wonders, folks. Signs and Wonders. Like my dad always told me, you're not special, but you are different. When you see what no one else sees...
  22. Amusing as it is for Rex to continue to deny his financial support/primary voting for Trump, I rise at this time for a different question regarding Palestinian/Anti-Semitism........... Is the cobbler and adjacent ice cream, Kosher or how are we doing this?
  23. Don't be too hard on yourselves. Your party is trying to navigate its way through a contemporary/current Trump era with new players and new rules. But yeah, time is of the essence, so I sure wish they'd figure it the fuck out already. I can empathize a tiny bit, given that on occasion, I try to think rationally and kindly. Not often, but I've been down that fork in the road. The bench will ebb and flow as it has always done. It has been activist, constructionist, and corruptionalist over the course of 235 years. The justices have taken bribes, been selfish with their power, turned against the Presidents and Senators that put them in that robe. They have lied, cheated, stolen, misinterpreted, twisted, recoiled, over-extended, abandoned, and embraced. But almost to a person, they had one thing in common over the myriad parties and decades. They knew what Article III truly meant. They may have used it for personal agendas, but they all knew the vested authority placed on that bench. The last vestige to protect the world's first Federalist Democratic Republic. And even if they didn't give fuck one about the people involved in the cases they heard, they wanted their legacies to shine to their legal colleagues in a time they knew they would never see. 235 years of rulings you may not have liked, but were at least based in some modicum of scholarly thought, legal reasoning, and caretaking of the Nation. That era and mindset have come to an end. It's not Steve Bannon, or Miller, or the Evangelicals, or Putin pulling the strings for Trump to return to Office. It's the U.S. Supreme Court. Abandon all hope, ye who enter here should be etched at 1 First Street in D.C. They know Trump is a brazen moron incapable of even reading a case brief or a single page of a horn book. They will be the ones returning him to power, or at least his likely successor. They have a deep agenda and years to go before they sleep. Years to go...before they sleep.
  24. Okay, I get they're playing the greatest hits of "Fake News" talking points. But two really weird things stood out to me: At the 1:00m mark. Guy whines about the fact that Trump "Can't talk about the Judge's daughter." In what insane world, does a Presidential debate even need to mention the offspring of a judicial figure? Remember when Reagan/Mondale veered into Fiscal v. Monetary policy but instead chose to talk about some random state judge's children? Yeah, because that's not a thing. And listening to Donald Trump, Jr., the biggest coke-head I've ever met talking about drugs with Dr. Ronny Johnson is the most 3am bathroom conversation I've ever heard...and I've heard 'em all.
