  1. I used to be able to, but my vision has gotten worse over the last few years so it's harder. But it made me think of another question aside from lip reading: I wonder what closed captioning will pickup from Trump when his mic is off? I've seen sporting events and debates and shows where there's some off-camera chatter that the audio still gets picked up, but you can't make it out. But suddenly, the CC will start displaying some of the words, verbatim. I'm gonna turn them on tonight to see what ensues. Just more of his moronic rambling, I'm sure...but would be fun to see how it gets spelled.
  2. seriously, what the fuck is in the water supply in East Texas? I mean they're not ugly, per se. But they all have the jaw and chins of grizzled Marines eating wild boar on Guadalcanal.
  3. Oh no, Chris. Not the 'Babe Kit.' You told me never to get out the 'Babe Kit.' -I know, Jay. But this isn't about me. He brought Texas into this. I'm doing it for our Republic.
  4. They've gone through the audio logistics a thousand times, so much so that even dumbass Trump understands them. But what I haven't read/heard is what the cameras will do. Typically in a two-person debate, it's a three or four camera setup, including the one behind them that pans back to the moderator. Because as disruptive as it may be, I would really like to see what Trump does when Biden speaks and Donald cannot be heard audibly, but still seen. Anybody know a good lip-reader that charges by the hour?
  5. It's like Colorado has their own version of Jonathan Swan. I like this guy, a lot. Doesn't get angry, or thrown off his game, doesn't get rude, etc. I bet dollars to donuts, he's got Walter Cronkite DNA in his family tree somewhere way back when. Aside from her usual dumbassery, Lauren's new eyebrows are hilarious. She deflects straight outta the GOP playbook. Laughable, but she sticks to her talking points and does what they do---attack the person 'just asking questions.' But you have to admit, even for Boebert, to claim at the 1:10 mark, "Releasing footage of what was a very private moment." It's a 10,000 seat venue, Lauren. That's not private. Just like a guy whipping his dick out in a bowling alley filled with hundreds of children isn't a "very private moment." I feel like Uncle Jeff in "VEEP" yelling at Jonah who thinks he's having a private moment, "This is an elementary school, you fucking animal!"
  6. I am involved in a multi-player game where each time Trump claims online that this debate will be rigged against him; I have to eat one psychotropic mushroom. It is 9:00a in Atlanta currently and somebody is already wildly pandering to his base. As such, I am somehow in Burma, tripping balls. I can taste colors, but have no appetite. I somehow picked up Mandarin on the way here. My legs are swollen as hell, but I've somehow lost 10 pounds. I gave myself a haircut and have frequent bowel movements. Mack Brown turned me off of post-event press conferences forever. But I got a feeling this 'debate' will largely be uneventful, it'll be the myriad post-debate clips/memes/quotes that will determine the fate of our Nation. I am going to go now and buy some melons and hats from that shady looking guy on the motorbike. Remember, before you dose...hydrate.
  7. ^ See now that is a succinct description of Boebert's existence and approach to life. "Why overthink it, when you can just not think at all." What I wouldn't give to watch her slowly implode as you tried to explain even the most basic of scientific concepts to her.
  8. My working title to the next book in That series is “Why a stupid, gun-toting whore needs a non-pedophile husband and less elected power.” we’re still workshopping it.
  9. Yeah, this isn’t like a transgender thing. Delia is a female name in Spanish. Totally different prosecutor than who you’re thinking of C/S. Hartzell looked very tense yesterday at the Schloss PC. I think because of how these cases would play out.
  10. So Paxton is in trouble again. 5th Circuit Justice Don Willett, a former supporter of Paxton, has gone radio silent. Nate Paul has punted another sentencing hearing, presumably out of having worked with both Willett and Paxton in the past, and donations of the same ilk. Just when Trump has crossed off Ken's name as a potential AG. Hmm, curious. Nate has another hearing coming up with the SEC right around the convention. You'll start to hear Ken call all of this a 'Political Witchunt' within a few weeks time. I know what happens to Ken. What I am stumped over is how Abbott/Patrick respond to all of this.
  11. Isaac Chroner, "We worship he, who walks behind the ruses. He wants you too, Malachai!"
  12. You can’t triple stamp a double stamp! You can’t triple stamp a double stamp! Plus I called no-erasees!!!
  13. Apparently he’s vegan. The steer and the coach.
  14. We are on our way, ladies and gentlemen.
  15. Not great photos but he was on point and cordial. Had to toe the line between just having lost in Omaha and admitting working with Chris and our historic program is his life dream come true. His answers made me seem truncated, helluva nice guy. Lotsa former players and assistants here. He politely excused himself to go settle his office and start working the phones for portal. Never met this guy before, but I like him already. CDC looks like a kid on Christmas Day
  16. Well the body attached to the balls he wish he could suck only have about 36 hours from which to withdraw from the Debate and save face. Trump and his surrogates have been all over the map this past week, taking swipes at Biden for being too senile or too sharp. Biden's on drugs or not fit to speak.
  17. Wait, Incredulity is an Aggie? He seems to have a decent sense of humor, I had no idea...honestly.
  18. given the drumstick and chain and obvious drug usage, there's a Fleetwood Mac album in here somewhere
  19. I heard if you voted for Beobert three times, her ex-husband appears and gives himself a handjob at the shoe rental counter. I have lived many lives and served many masters and this m
  20. Shit, I lied. I forgot a friend's band needed more "followers" or whatever back in the 2000's and I created a MySpace account for Umphrey's McGee to try and get more traction for them online. But the only like I got was from that founder guy who was in the white t-shirt in front of the dry erase board. So I deleted it a few weeks later. Speaking of CD's. Got the wife a new car last week, so was cleaning out her old one before we sell it. And she basically just listens to talk radio of AM970, the Catholic Station. She had one of those in-dash CD changers on the old car. So there were still two in there, I took 'em out with the rest of the shit in the glovebox and trunk. Brought 'em inside, and my two little girls were like, "Daddy, what are those?" And I realized the only CD player we have in the house is in a cabinet and takes like 10 minutes to setup with the separate speakers and component amplifier. They accept that we have tens of thousands of songs available on ten devices around the house and cars. But Daddy can't make mommy a 20-track mix CD on this circular device? I don't think they're gonna be able to handle the concept of vinyl. "How does that little metal thing make the music? Are you a wizard?"
  21. Only thing I didn't do was have a MySpace account. Otherwise, Gen-X MVP! To this day, I still use a typewriter, CD's, use a fax machine, physical maps, a hard copy dictionary, and write checks. Between a 30yo Smith-Corona and facebook, I take the typewriter every time.
  22. He looks like famous Texas-Ex, Mark Duplass. He'll fit right in
  23. anyone have any more insight into our non-conf. schedule?
