Yeah, maybe. I can't make out images on computer screens very well in middle age. I get the bribery connotation but why in his eye socket? Seems weird. I guess it's a think-piece. Just watched the Serbia/Slovenia replay of the equalizer goal. Does everybody from Slovenia just gobble cock, is that like their thing?

I think I get it. I know I love it. But what's that supposed to be in his right eye?
  3. And if Texas would have been first, the first Lone Star State school to post the 10 Commandments---with the 'Thou Shall Not Kill' one in bold? You guessed it, Robb Elementary School in Uvalde. Way to go Dan!
  4. So when there are legal questions of discretionary appropriations for The Pentagon…you take ‘em to court. The People’s Court! All rise!
  5. Remind me again in which branch of government DoD’s funding begins in again?
  6. I can't quite remember the bit, but I'm remembering Chris Rock talking about how many dicks his girlfriend talked about sucking before they met. "TWO? YOU TALKING ABOUT TWO?!?" Be glad it's the pair, it's far worse in so many other parts of Austin.
  7. This. He doesn't really have any of "the goods" on Trump. But there is a chance, given that he actually became self-aware enough to quit drugs and get clean (which is no small feat), that he realizes Trump and MAGA nation fucked him over like a pawn. And they worry about what he might say, again not that he's an insider-but he's more privy to Trump than most. So he "accidentally" overdoses on a bad batch, and it's chalked up to a relapse. Again, not to excuse his support of evil. But he has a blindspot due to his replacing addiction of drugs to addiction of money to addiction of Trump to addiction of attention. All of us walk one of two paths, we either replace our addiction with doing good or doing bad. Simple as that, there is no going home again. The high has to come from somewhere. Mike, it appears...has chosen poorly. I can empathize a bit. I don't condone it, but i can still empathize as a fellow man of faith struggling myself. But I have found two pillars of strength along my path. First-continue my foundation of service to others. Second-to hurt bad people as a substitute high for alcohol. Mike got them confused. He is serving bad people and hurting people in need. He will soon realize this and either speak out about his awakening or double down on it and die in his own shadow. May God be with you, Lindell. because nobody on this Earth will be.
  8. You don't even have to handy/finger Dan Patrick to get a gun. Just tell him his pleated ladies slacks look super smart-casual and promise him you'll drive to Houston to get him those Indigo Girls tickets with Wooderson tomorrow.
  9. Her grift doesn't allow for tipping in cash. She uses her campaign account-issued credit card for this kinda thing. Card ending in 0675 is on file with the FEC. It's perfectly fine to spend money to feed donors who will then turn around and donate, happens every day. We've all been on the other end of that transaction. But her little hissy fit about it is just another example of shining example of stupidity grandstanding. It's her math skills that are absolutely astounding though. From her omnibus rants on the floor to her using a "willard" instead of a "wizard" as a tip calculator (looking at you @Biff Tannen), there is nothing she can't fuck up. Side note-the main reason I still leave tips in cash isn't just because I worked as a bus boy and bar-back way back when. It's because a good server is backed up good busboys, bartenders, and kitchen staff. They're only that good because they know the value of the people behind them, and they tip-out accordingly and everybody gets well with cash tips. If they're shitty at their service, the rest of the team shouldn't suffer because of it. So I'll still go 18-20%, but on the card and let them sort if out with their back of house team. It's an analogy to the current GOP House. There's still some folks in there doing work, believe it or not. But it's the assholes up front hoarding all the money and not spreading it around, and their shitty service is gonna fuck up the whole joint. And we're gonna walk out, and with any luck, watch the whole fucking thing go up in flames.
  10. good question. I've known of DA's in Texas that keep the criminal records of minors sealed from everyoneTh from schools to employers to gun shops. Some throw it out there robustly. It not only varies from state to state, but even county to county. There are gun sales involving known 16yo felons with full dossiers, and the sale 'happens' anyway. There are 18yo responsible hunters who can't buy a gun in some places because a DA flagged a couplf of drug misdemeanors. If 2024 has taught us anything, our judicial system is about as consistent as our electrical grid.
  11. No see, what he did was he drove a stolen vehicle during a BLM riot from San Antonio to Chicago and traded the fentanyl inside for the guns. Got back to Round Rock to shoot up the joint in the name of gang warfare despite being mentally ill. Or something. Who gives a shit anymore? Two families grow up without a Mom now and we'll get up and do nothing about preventing this kinda shit tomorrow. What the fuck makes Central Texas so goddamn special in all of this.
  12. If that's your take on movie gun battles, you're really not gonna like the Stormtrooper scenes in all 137 Star Wars episodes. Also, I don't follow club football but love international play. Fuck the English, but they have a good time. Though, I feel really bad for the guy passed out. He provided some laughs for the fellas, but his wife is gonna see that clip obviously. And he will never, ever heard the fucking end of it. And his only sin was having a couple extra pints after England didn't play as well as they should have. Poor bloke
  13. Steven Miller looks like the Jew in every Holocaust movie who raises his hand and shouts, "I have an idea. Sonderkommandos!"
  14. talking about coke and tits in here man, you up in here with all your monetary policy bullshit. Imma have Isaac and Gopher throw yo ass overboard.
  15. Look man, the factory can only make so many of those white plastic pylons in a given year. Yeah, they just encumbered another cycle of paper last month and only like 30% of it has cleared capital planning. So yes, in this oh so wonderful interest rate environment, we're servicing debt that covers a guy doing renderings of what the renderings of the new renderings should look like 2 years from now. Perfectly sound plan.
  16. $1000 in today's money, not 70's money says the dude on the left said just before they started rolling said, "Oh the stuff we took was crap, totally fake. This is bullshit. I'm not feeling anything. OOOHHHHHHHH......."
  17. Fair points. But another 'difference' that is more disturbing to me than the similarities is, Hitler installed those general and flag officers. He built that fascist bureaucracy and Wermacht, almost from scratch. They owed their power, their vocation, even their lives---to Hitler. Trump has shit on the military at every turn. Obviously he still has plenty of followers among the NCO's and enlisted, but as Adm. McRaven warns---the officers of the Wermacht owed everything they had to Hitler, Trump merely inherited the Pentagon. They don't owe him anything. Even with their fealty to Hitler, some of them tried a number of times to kill him. Trump turns the military towards the people or a foreign power without provocation, it will make General Beck look like a toddler. there are plenty of serviceman who are chomping to invade something, anything for Trump. But unlike Hitler's senior officers, those of the U.S. Armed Forces were here before Trump and they will think of what it should be like after Trump. We sleep under that safe mindset, not that of a deranged tangerine.
  18. He can absolutely pardon himself. “I’m the greatest and healthiest President since Washington. But to better serve you for the next 47 months, never hurts to have a full physical. Results will come back tremendously. But while I’m at the doctor’s office, you’ll hear that the cabinet is invoking the 25th amendment for a few hours to continue to protect you Great Americans Again. As such, VP Scott will run things for a few hours. I’ll be back in the Oval this evening to continue my work for the American people.” Scott pardons him that afternoon after the cabinet votes in lock step and signs back power before dinner. Even dumbass Trump knows how easy this would be.
  19. Well put, and as usual, put more succinctly than Lobo. I've dealt with a lot of powerful people in my lifetime, but the guy I fear the most is the guy with nothing to lose. -Trump has no expressed plan to move beyond our borders. Hitler literally wrote a book about it since the first two Reichs had been compressed beyond all recognition. -Complacency is almost as powerful a drug as being validated politically, in the case of the bottom tier of MAGA nation. -Then there is the obfuscation of Civil War. Germans had some internal populations they didn't want there anymore. But more than that, they wanted back everything from the Rhine to Prussia, North Africa to Moscow. Trump doesn't even know what he wants, he just wants more adulation. MAGA nation keeps claiming there'll be violence, but they've yet to clarify who and where? Do you attack police, brown people who may have voted for Trump, women who may have voted for Trump, the military, civil servants, left-handed people, who? And where does this all play out? Which battlefields? Which lines of demarcation? What is the theater of this Civil War? What borders are you wanting to conquer? You want to 'conquer' a swing state like Pennsylvania that broke for Biden? Good luck taking Philly or Pittsburgh. There's no plan, just angry rhetoric. Say what you want about Lee, he had a geographic theater of war plan that actually worked for a short while. Say what you want about Hitler, he had a multi-continental plan that actually worked for awhile. MAGA is just "we gotta buncha guns and we ain't gonna take no more shit. This is our country." And then they nod off to reality TV after a bucket of chicken. The 3rd Reich actually worked from 1933-1943 in terms of its implementation of evil, because smart people got organized and decided they had nothing to lose and everything to gain. A second MAGA reich won't work because it's even more corrupt than the Nazis, it's less organized, and they suffer from complacency. And we are so fucking lucky that Hitler was just 44 when he gained complete control and in good shape. Trump is 78 and getting worse by the day. Bad news-when Hitler died and shortly thereafter Donitz gave unconditional surrender, the Germans stood down almost immediately. Turned in their weapons and armories, ships to port, fixed wing groups grounded forever. They learned of their atrocities and set to rectify their sins and rebuild their country and much of Europe. There were no statues erected, no flags of Hitler hoisted in protest to Allied occupation, the Marshall plan was carried out to the letter by those people, they accepted their inner ugliness and the punishment that came along with their complicity. To this day, there are no statues, no monuments to their insane leaders. Every German student, from a young age, is taught about WW2 and the Holocaust. and nobody complains, "I don't want those books in my child's class...he might feel bad about his heritage." They don't shy away from it like we do. When Trump goes, and he will soon. It won't be like May 1945 Germany. they won't take it well at all. They'll act out insanely. But they won't know who to take it out on. that's the real danger. 25mm stupid people, armed to the teeth, with nothing to lose, and no Marshall to guide them.
  20. Much respect to Herve. Miss you! Also, Montalban is of obvious Mexican heritage. But Kahn's last name is Singh, from southeast Asia. I mentioned in post #26, they should do a Battle of the Streaming Stars. But I'd be willing to share my royalties with you. You don't need everybody and shooting schedules overlap, but you could get a decent slate of actors from myriad platforms and they could do some goofy competition shit. Again, nobody under 35 would understand what the fuck was going on, but it'd be a great homage to a 20yo tradition from a bygone era that folks our age would love. I know some of the actors would feel it's beneath them, but enough would want to be in on the joke. Will Ferrell could host. It could be a fun way to encourage middle age folks to finally embrace streaming and cut the cord. I dunno. My other idea is they should do more "crossover" episodes. Remember when St. Elsewhere would go into Cheers, or Dallas would go into Knott's Landing? I know, I know...compromising the artistic integrity of their singular show multi-verse. But c'mon, somebody from "slow horses" having to go into the "severance" world to get advice on how to control agent's minds or some such shit. Martin Short wandering into Gilead. There's hundreds of possibilities. How the fuck have they not done that yet?
  21. "the Fantasy Island guy"? You show Montalban and his fine Corinthian leather some goddamn respect! Mr. Roarke is a national treasure! I have no idea what country that island belonged to, so I'm not so sure to which nation he is a treasure, but you don't just flippantly call him "the Fantasy Island Guy." Bastard!
  22. The parallels are obvious. What's more interesting to me are the differences. Hitler seized power during an economic spiral downwards. And it was real. Trump is trying to falsify one because he wants to harness the fear that brings. And it's kinda working, but not really. But kind of. The evacuation (be it deportation or camps) of undesired demographic groups is real, but Hitler wants to expand it beyond the Fatherland's borders. Trump wants to do it from within. And therein lies the rub. Trump's base craves insulation and nationalism, doesn't want any more foreign conquests. Hitler's base knew he had a broader vision for Europe, and they loved it. Take back all the previous German empires sphere of influence and eradicate anyone inside of the new lands that was not fit for the Reich. Plus, as evil as he was, Hitler was a cunning and intelligent. Trump couldn't cognitively test himself out of a wet, paper bag. Both were stubborn enough so as not to admit defeat. But in the end, Hitler finally got wise, passed on a directive to Donitz and then took his own life. Trump won't do that. He'll die lying until the end, because to pass along his legacy to Eric Trump is to pass it along to a toddler. Hitler was driven by frustration and low self-esteem and hatred his whole adult life. And finally seized power and only then, in the waining years of WW2 was he so self-absorbed and insulated, that he truly became dangerous. Trump has been led his whole life, since birth, with the notion that he was special and anointed. He never had to scrape for anything. That is what makes him even more dangerous. Hitler knew what it was like to be a cornered rat and acted as expected. Trump won't know the corner when he sees it, and will act even more irrationally than the last 9 years put together. As a demonstration of loyalty, prominent Nazis turned in Jewish family members (usually by marriage), gays, intellectuals, et. al. to the Reich early on. It set a precedent that, "If these loyal National Socialists of great import will serve the Reich by ridding our undesired citizenry just within our borders, then the rest of Germany and it's protectorates must do the same as a demonstration of dedication." If you are a Muslim, LGBTQ, Chinese immigrant, Latin American immigrant, Black, or a woman. And you vote for Trump or even don't vote at all, don't come crying when you're turned in for re-education, prosecution, hate crimes, lack of health care, or fighting against discrimination. I won't shed a single tear for you. In fact, I'll root for your demise. Hitler wanted to liquidate the minorities of Europe. I don't mind if we liquidate the stupids of America. I'd prefer to do this peacefully and re-elect Joe Biden, but if you're in a group that isn't a white male Christian going for Trump, I'll be happy to wave to you from the ramp.
  23. Yep, he's slamming and taking Emmy's. She's trying to get a job as a teller at a soon to be defunct drive-thru branch of Capital One.
  24. Well that's why I said "almost" sad. I want all of those people destroyed. But I retain 0.01% of empathy for Mike as part of my own recovery. Sure he's evil and stupid and wants to implant bullshit into society. But thankfully, he's at least in a legislative/judicial/executive position to do so. But and the rest of MAGA worshippers will soon be gone. And then it's on the next battle with ignorance and stupidity. And then the one after that. And like Joe Pesci says in Casino, just when they're coming out of their coma, I'll be coming out of my mental prison and I'll fuck with them again. Because I don't know any better. They never learn, why should i?
  25. He could have been a wonderful story of a Great American Comeback. Drug addict gets clean and grows a massive business and becomes a multi-millionaire. He can quietly give money to politicians he likes, sure. But IRL he inspires many, starts charities, gives other former addicts jobs and helps them to stay clean. They would have written books and movies about life story. He would have left a legacy. Now he's just one of many left in the gutter of the wake of Donald Trump. Denounced, declared crazy, bankrupt, having to lay off thousands of people, and probably suffering severe health issues as a result. And for what? So Donald can make jokes about Al Capone killing Mike Lindell. A life almost lost, but gloriously rebuilt that positive affected thousands, all to be thrown away to serve as a punchline at a Trump fundraiser. It's almost sad because Mike, like Greg Abbott, thinks that Donald sees/hears and appreciates everything they're doing for him. But he doesn't. He only sees himself (and being with Ivanka).
