  1. Out of all of our deficiencies year in and year out, it just boggles my mind we haven't had a good line in over a decade. How does that happen?
  2. Nah, this felt different. Herman's teams would have at least hung around and made a game of it.
  3. This is a pretty bad take. For starters, you're using numbers that go back to the very beginning of the pandemic before it had fully ramped up. But mainly, you're giving Trump credit for lockdowns, mask mandates, and other measures that he opposed every step of the way that are no longer enforced. Last summer, many places were just opening back up, but restaurants had to be at 25% capacity before eventually hitting 50% capacity. Movie theaters were mostly closed, and the ones that were open had blocked out huge amounts of seats so that you weren't sitting near anyone. The last movie I went to less than a week ago I had people sitting directly in front and behind me. You go into a store now and maybe a quarter of the people are voluntarily wearing masks vs everybody a year ago. Things are mostly back to normal in public, and nobody is enforcing any of these measures anymore, because conservative messaging is once again louder and is winning out. So even though half of the population is vaccinated, half isn't, which is making the overall impact of a vaccine muted while everyone is running around in crowds maskless and filling up hospital beds. I've never been a huge Joe Biden cheerleader and I don't really agree with the idea of the government being able to enforce medical decisions on its people, but things are kind of getting desperate. Conservatives that happily took every vaccine required growing up that were mandatory to go to public school and to travel to certain places are now freaking out over this one because they made it political, and you keep moving the goal posts. First it wasn't fully FDA approved. Then it became FDA approved but you're still against it. Many of you will, however, take experimental treatments that aren't fully FDA approved and only have emergency use approval. Half of this country is digging their heels in the sand because they believe a bunch of nonsense they either read online or heard from Tucker Carlson about fake deaths reported on VAERS or their refrigerator magnets sticking to them. Something needs to be done, and I'm all ears. What is your alternative to get people to treat this seriously?
  4. I ended up seeing it. It's not good. The acting was some of the worst I've ever seen. It's literally "The Room" level bad acting. Like aliens who've briefly observed humanity directed the movie, directing the actors the way they sort of think humans act and behave through the filter of an intergalactic language and culture barrier. Honestly it felt like there was potentially a good idea for a cool psychological thriller there that was wasted.
  5. Was I living under a rock in the 1990's? I don't recognize the person in the bottom right photo.
  6. Agree with all except Skyfall. Skyfall is up there with the all time best Bond themes. I can't even remember the Spectre theme. It was terrible and completely forgettable.
  7. Yeah, but the final hand when Le Chiffre got all cocky and wouldn't quit talking shit while splashing the pot before Bond flopped a nut straight, leading Le Chiffre to tell his henchman to "pay that man his money" because he beat him straight up, that was a great payoff.

    Candace Owens

Conservatives LOVE private businesses being able to decline service to whomever they wish for their own beliefs thanks to their God given first amendment rights. I'm sure Candace and other conservatives appreciate and enthusiastically support the clinic's decision and aren't going to make a big hypocritical fuss about this at all. Right, guys? ........RIGHT?
  9. First spot to hit is your liquor store. You'll finally get all that alcohol you can't afford. If you see red lights flashing, it's time to retire. Turn that liquor store into a structure fire. Next stop to hit is the music shop. It'll just take one brick to make that window drop. Finally you'll get your own P.A. Then we can hear that guitar you'll be playing today.
  10. Never seen The Mary Tyler Moore show, but I've had it in my queue on Hulu forever waiting to watch it. One of the classics I've never seen I've been meaning to get around to. I think I'll finally pull the trigger and start watching it.

    RIP Don Everly

Everly Brothers songs are the type that get stuck in my head for days. Iconic music and harmonies. He was a legend.
  12. Yeah I've spent entirely too much time on /r/CFB arguing with others from fanbases who have little to nothing to do with Texas about how we are not the reason the Big 12 splintered 10 years ago and the SWC broke up. (I need better hobbies). But we are an easy target for others to hate.
  13. Hard to tell. He doesn't list any college football affiliation in his profile, which is pretty much all locked down anyway. He does seem to like fishing, though.
  14. MSNBC, CNN, and NPR might lean left, but they aren't really propaganda in the way Fox is. The comparisons are undeserved. MSNBC and CNN can be biased, sensationalist, and lazy, but their obvious goals aren't to lie and hide the truth in order to defend Democrats and attack the GOP at all costs for their chosen party's political gain. Not the way Fox, Newsmax, OANN, and the AM talk radio outlets operate for the GOP. I've never seen any MSNBC or CNN on-camera personalities on stage at a Biden rally campaigning for him the way Sean Hannity has for Trump. NPR is pretty responsible straight down the middle boring journalism the overwhelming majority of the time. I wouldn't put them in the same category as MSNBC or CNN either.
  15. I only know of him from videos I've seen shared on social media where he's doing painfully unfunny satire of the left. Real "the right is getting better at comedy and it's making lefties nervous" type vibes with this one. Was he previously known for something else?
  16. Yeah, I seem to remember the MAGAs accusing Wallace of being a liberal who was ruining Fox News because unlike others on his network, he asked Trump harder questions than "How much fun are you having as president?" I'm not going to fault him for being tough on Biden administration officials if they're legitimate and fair questions. That's their job.
  17. If you want to get rid of a wasp nest permanently, you have to assert your dominance.
  18. You should have just posted the top comment. Sums it up pretty well.
  19. Not as much a cop movie, but a security guard who wants to be a cop movie:
  20. A lot of people are saying there's a correlation between people in colder climates voting for Democrats at a higher percentage. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Chinese were conspiring with Hunter Biden to have the air conditioners cranked up to the max, causing millions of votes to be switched in Biden's favor. It checks out. Do your own research and educate yourself.
  21. I never saw Whitest Kids U Know when it was on, but I remember laughing at some of his Comedy Central specials a few years back. RIP.
