  1. I wish we'd get a choice or flex, but I have a feeling we'll all be back at the office once this is over. We've been on a rotating schedule in the office while following the county's 33% and then 50% limited capacity orders. But we were never all allowed to stay home all at once after the complete shut down was lifted last summer. Management never chooses to leave the office and work at home, and they originally fought the idea of us working from home in the first place. They're pretty old fashioned. The main thing is I'd love the freedom to pick up and move anywhere I want without having to worry about how long the commute is. I'd love to not fight traffic everyday like pre-covid. This past year has proven we don't need the office to do anything for our jobs. The only thing I'd miss is seeing the coworkers that I like now and again. The lack of real human interaction is the worst part of working from home for me.
  2. That video is rage inducing. And no remorse either in the follow up video. I don't think I could drive for uber or lyft without some kind of barrier between the front and the back like taxis and police vehicles have. Too many spoiled and entitled psychos out there and plenty of these types of videos on the internet to prove it.
  3. I've seen this anger at Harry and Meagan already from a few conservatives around me. Why do they care so much? I'm a first generation born American on one side of my family, spent a lot of time in England growing up, and I frankly don't give a shit. Could Harry and Meagan be exaggerating? Possibly. We also know the Queen and the tabloids have a history of being dicks to women who marry in. So who knows? But it's weird how much conservatives are making a big deal defending the Royals of another country over this interview.
  4. Yeah, that's pretty much the gist of why I said that.
  5. How long into their terms did Reagan and Trump step down with their obvious declining cognitive abilities? I'll give him at least that long. Biden's old as shit and I was against nominating someone as old as him in the first place. But he's not as impaired as you want to pretend he is, and he's definitely no worse off than Trump. He's also not an evil POS, so that gives him more leeway as far as I'm concerned.
  6. He was great in "Bad Santa."
  7. The wait time thing is such a tiresome conservative scare tactic. Our health care results rank as some of the worst in the industrialized world. Nobody is dying waiting for care in other countries with tax payer healthcare. If our system is better, why doesn't a single other first world country try to copy it?
  8. To Watter'point, he doesn't spend all day live tweeting the cable news shows each week before getting photographed playing golf at his self owned country club every weekend, so it's hard to know if he's doing anything at all.
  9. What's so dumb is the world has already seen you bald. You can't put your baldness back in the closet. Even if it looked real, nobody is going to think your hair suddenly grew back.
  10. Superman peaked when he crushed General Zod's hand in his ice house back in 1980. They're not going to do better than that.
  11. Fuck dammit. If we don't get stuck with the stupidest mother fucker to ever hold office, are we really going to get stuck with his coked out kid?
  12. Somehow I completely forgot that existed, but you're absolutely right. That was a great flick. Forgive me, Eddie.
  13. I miss when Eddie Murphy used to be funny. This movie was borderline unwatchable. This movie made me long for The Nutty Professor, which was pretty awful all on its own.
  14. I have a question that's been haunting me for a while. It seems you are equipped to answer. Exactly how tiny does your dick have to be to use the the term "Beta" when referring to other people? I'm almost too embarrassed to ask from the second hand cringe, but I feel I need to. Please sober up before you answer.
  15. That Republican epiphany is surely coming any day now. Keep holding your breath, everybody.
  16. Plus Robert Pattinson has a history of always dating and sleeping with his costars. Kristen Stewart, Willem Defoe, and now Zoe. They knew what they were getting when they brought him on.
  17. I like crypto as an investment and a good way to make money, but I don't see it ever going completely mainstream and replacing the American dollar in this country. I think the US government has the ability to hurt Bitcoin more than you'd think. Look at XRP. Jay Clayton, Trump's head of the SEC, filed a lawsuit on his last day in office claiming XRP was an unregistered security. That is still pending a final outcome, but the announcement of the lawsuit alone erased about 50% of its value and kept the price down while BTC and altcoins went on a record setting run. For the first time in the better part of a decade, XRP is no longer a top 5 coin. It would probably be sitting at $3 to $5 without the interference of the SEC. If the government says "Bitcoin is used by many for nefarious reasons and is now illegal", the same thing could happen to it. Never underestimate people in power to mess up a good thing.
  18. I saw The Marksman in a theater last weekend. Liam Neeson plays a guy who is a 65+ year old badass who gets vengence on some bad people. It's a brand new, never before seen movie formula, but I digress. I was the first person to buy a ticket in the theater and bought a seat in the center back row. Right as the previews were ending, some other guy came in and sat right in front of me. Really? An entire theater of empty seats and you pre-select a seat in front of the only other seat in the theater taken? During Covid? He also took about 5 minutes into the movie to put away his phone. This made me surly.
  19. Finished the show. You weren't wrong.
  20. This clown can't even get a photo-op right. He shows up to an empty parking lot after the sun came out and melted all the ice.
  21. The only positive thing I can say in defense of Ted Cruz in all of this is it looks like that shitty mullet was a photoshop. There's no way the hair on the side of his head grew from a #3 guard to a few inches in the span of a week. On the other hand, it's unfortunate how utterly disgusting and repulsive he looks regardless of his haircut.
  22. Funny, but that song also legit gets stuck in my head all the time at random for no good reason. I think I watched Vacation too many times growing up. Damn you, Lindsey Buckingham and your infectious voice and guitar riffs.
  23. If they plan to do a student loan fogiveness, I'm for it. But are we just going to keep forgiving loans every so many years? I'd rather they work on fixing the real problem that is the high cost of education or find a way to put caps on what schools can charge per hour. I don't know what the solution to that is. Subsidizing the cost of higher education? Maybe the government not guarantee student loans? Make student loans eligible for bankruptcy so schools and banks aren't so quick to encourage any shitty student that walks through the door to take out 10s of thousands of dollars? Is Biden (or Congress) formulating a plan for fixing higher education costs so school loan bailouts aren't necessary in the future? Do they plan to?
  24. In what ways are Jon Stewart and Rush comparable? Jon Stewart is funny and is a comedian. Rush was neither. Jon Stewart overall is a good person who loves and cares about this country and the people in it. And it shows. Rush's show was full of hate and its sole purpose was driving a wedge between the American people and stoking anger in order to promote conservatism. Stewart can talk to people on the other side who don't share the same views with him and be civil and respectful while making his point or promoting his views. Rush was not capable of that. Jon Stewart called out the hypocrisy and liars and manipulators in media. Rush was a hypocrite, a liar, and a manipulator in the media. They're not comparable unless you're comparing how polar opposite they are.
