  1. Can I pay $30 each to watch "Tenet" and "No Time To Die" now? I enjoy the theater experience, but am happy to pay more to watch at home if I don't have to wait another year.
  2. One of the big reasons he gave for leaving is just too many people in LA and bad traffic. I didn't realize Austin, or any Texas metro, was where you went to escape traffic.
  3. I think people are also overestimating how blue the suburbs have become. Yes, the GOP's victory margin has been decreasing every couple of years. I'm still seeing Trump signs all over the place in my Dallas suburban neck of the woods and few Biden signs. I'm hoping it's a sign that Trump's base is just much more enthusiastic and the Democrats are becoming more of a silent majority rather than the polls being wrong and Texas not becoming as blue as quickly as predicted. I also see a bunch of Trump cheerleading nonsense on Nextdoor from both suburban men and women.
  4. The dad's fart at the 36 second mark when the son picks him up to carry him out is just fantastic.
  5. To each their own. I started with a neck gaiter back in March but found that much material hugging my face and neck too hot in Texas. It seemed like it was the hardest to breathe in.
  6. "Ram" is probably my favorite post-Beatles album by my favorite post-Beatles songwriter.
  7. That was disgusting. Those ladies all need to trim their fingernails.
  8. What? Are you telling us you don't sign your butter?
  9. Shitty but not surprising from a network that caters to 70+ year old white men. Those catheters aren't going to sell themselves.
  10. God forbid we hold people to standards. Again, I'm voting for Biden regardless. I think my posting history makes that much clear. It's much less "we're going to find out she did some bad cop shit" and much more "we already know she did a bunch of bad cop shit." She was a dirty prosecutor who cared more about winning than ruining people's lives. I'm more baffled by why people are so hung up on her. She ran a shit campaign; there's nothing discernable that sets her apart from the field. Would anyone still be mentioning her if she wasn't a black woman?
  11. Or one could say she's a dirty cop who has ruined many lives putting away innocent people as a prosecutor. Harris sucks as a human being, and she would suck as a VP. I'm voting Biden regardless of his VP pick, but here's to hoping he doesn't pick a corrupt former cop for his VP.
  12. Wulaw is engaging in voter suppression tactics by disinformation. He is carrying Trump's water in the past two pages. Hopefully nobody is dumb enough to read his bullshit and believe a word of it.
  13. Tapatalk. Surly works perfectly fine on an Android Chrome browser. I don't get why you enjoy making double and triple posts because of that app.
  14. Running is meditative and relaxing for me. I can't imagine a life where I didn't run.
  15. Have you ever been off roading? It is kind of awesome if you know what you're doing. For better or worse, smoking gets less attractive with age. A young 20-something hottie, smoking doesn't bother me and I'll overlook it. A 40-plus-year-old smoking seems more gross like somebody who couldn't quit drugs and partying after college. By then the ashtray smell is usually seeping from their pores.
  16. I wouldn't so much call this dumbass as much as a good reason for Facebook's existence.
  17. I'd argue that most people agree that the two party system sucks, but it's what we're stuck with. Unless there's some type of constitutional convention to completely change our form of Democracy, you might as well save your gas and stay home than vote third party. You're wasting your time. Ron Paul and Bernie Sanders figured it out that you can make more noise bringing your outsider beliefs into the establishment parties than running as Libertarian, Green, Independent, etc. I didn't support Biden in the primaries. He was maybe my 5th choice at best. But I sure as hell will support him in the general, because I know there are exactly two people who have a shot at being president and shaping the country over the next four years. I'm picking the better choice.
  18. It does feel nice to finally be respected in the world again. This calls for donuts.
  19. What you fail to understand is that Libertarians are noble geniuses who can judge us all from above on their high horse without ever in their life participating in the democracy we currently have in this country. It's not ever their fault, because the system neuters them, and they know it and they relish it in holding them unaccountable because their ideas suck yet they never have to prove it. Even Ron Paul knew that to get any meaningful coverage, he had to run in the two party system. There is only one choice in 2020 -- Trump vs Biden. JoJo is a no-go. No shot in hell. No better chance than Willie Nelson or Mickey Mouse. But I look forward to the next four years of Libertarian both-sides-ism (which really means defending Republicans 98.9 percent of the time from so-called Libertarians) from the Anastasises of the world.
  20. Imagine being fucking stupid enough to vote for Kanye West of all people for President of the United States. "You know, I really don't like how Trump is doing things, but Biden appears to be cognitively declining according to a meme my uncle shared from Turning Point USA. I think I'll give that Kanye guy a chance. He seems like someone who has it all together."
  21. The silent majority never seems to shut the fuck up.
  22. Your guess is as good as mine. Google search says an average of $100,000 per year, which seems surprisingly low. My old boss drove a car and lived in a house that suggested he made more.
  23. I worked at Chick-fil-A in high school, so late 90s, 2000ish. I made about what you'd expect for a high school fast food job, about $8 an hour. I'm not sure what managers made. But you're right about the benefits. They will give scholarships to their employees and help pay for college, and if you work there long enough and meet certain criteria they'll gift you a franchise. I know a girl I worked with 20 years ago got her own franchise about 3 or 4 years ago. She just never left and kept working her way up, and now she's an owner. Another guy I knew was being groomed for one, but he eventually got sick of working in fast food and left. That was several years ago.
  24. In-N-Out pays really well, too, which I respect. You can be a general manager at Whataburger and make $40,000 a year, or you can be a general manager at In-N-Out and make six figures.
