  1. Does he have lifts in his shoes, too? Zoom in and those soles look about 4 inches thick.
  2. People who play in bands?
  3. I could be wrong, but I took it as him saying that since the Court upheld DACA, it gives him the power to bypass Congress and redo health care through executive order.
  4. Right on. I enjoyed it for what it was, but this was an hour long commercial for Peacock with Peacock commercials thrown in the middle of it. I guess I still enjoyed seeing most of the characters coming back, even if it was forced. Meh...

    Mad Men

I can't agree with that assessment. Season 5 has been my favorite since I watched it the first time weekly on AMC, but not by much. This is one of the few shows where every season is so consistent and good, it would be very difficult for me to pick an order.
  6. I like the cut of those two guys' jib. Funny while also exposing the idiocy and irrational anger of the non-mask wearers. "He's smart. He's social distancing." "That's a long walk, dude. Congrats!" "Dropping Dong."
  7. Screw that. Skipping the reunion of one of the best sitcoms of all time to air a commercial for their streaming service? I already set my DVR to record, so luckily it's showing in DFW.
  8. Why make it a whole thing putting out an official announcement you're dropping the Redskins brand before you have the new name lined up? Why not announce both at once? What a waste of time.
  9. I never thought his career would actually be in danger, but I admit I had hope that there were some other embarrassing stories that might drop.
  10. So nothing's going to come of the sex workers outing Lady G and ruining his political career, I guess? Nevertheless...
  11. Stop acting like a bitch. You're crying and quitting a message board because people are calling you out for defending the president's blatant corruption? Put on your big boy pants and come back when you sober up.
  12. How many times are people going to fall for this conspiracy stuff? I'm glad to see it's at least being laughed off of this board for the most part. Seriously, how many times can people be bamboozled by stuff that sounds like utter nonsense just because you read it somewhere online? Please put on your critical thinking hat before you run into a Wayfair distribution center and try to set it on fire or shoot up the place to free the children. Don't kill someone or go to prison because you fell for something ridiculous online.
  13. Fair enough. Luigi's was decent but always a bit overrated anyway. I was an outsider but worked in Big Spring a bit. I thought the hills and natural geography was kind of nice compared to the flat neighboring wealthier towns like Midland.
  14. Big Spring? Colorado City? I spent a couple of years out in Midland, and while I didn't appreciate it at the time, I think I'd enjoy it now that I'm older. Yes, it's super conservative and a bit stuck in the past. But there's something nice about an area with 200,000 people, next to no traffic at all any time of day, enough amenities for a town that size, and being a 3 hour day trip away from the mountains of SW Texas and New Mexico. And what were you doing at Olive Garden? You didn't like Luigi's?
  15. Has there ever been a plate of food or a meal in the history of the world where rice wasn't the blandest, least exciting thing on the plate? Yet three pages of rice talk.
  16. I had to read this tweet four times before it started to make sense. Are there not editors at the NYT anymore?
  17. Trump makes a 30 second statement on the redskins and he isnt focusing on problems at hand, but its cool for Obama to do a sit down with the media on ncaa brackets for half an hour. I guess there were no issues in 2012, so I understand now. What disingenuous crap. If Obama did a bracket every year he was president, he'd likely had spent less time in eight years on brackets than Trump spends tweeting in an average week. Trump spends his day watching Fox News, tweeting about it, and using the platform to fan the flames of division in this nation to the best of his abilities. It's all he knows how to do. Look around the country at everything that's happening. Trump has absolutely no desire or capability to lead. He just wants to do rallies and bully people online.
  18. I can count on one hand the number of musicals I enjoy, and most of them were written by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Hamilton is not one of those musicals.
  19. This is the unpopular opinions thread. Shitting on In-N-Out on this site isn't really unpopular. Here is an unpopular opinion that is 100% my own: In-N-Out is better than Whataburger, and it's not even close.
  20. I realize the ante has increased this year, but the kneeling thing began a couple of years ago. Nobody I could see in the stands kneeled at any college or pro game I went to last year, and I went to several. If you refuse to kneel, I guarantee nobody will notice. You will be invisible. You will be doing the same thing as 99.99 percent of the crowd. If you choose to protest and kneel, some redneck or Karen will likely lose their shit and say something or try to fight you. The scenario you're currently imagining in your head making yourself a hypothetical victim will take the complete opposite action to occur.
  21. Nice read but how involved was he in spreading misinformation in the U.S. about health care? Is he looking for forgiveness or absolution now? Fuck him if all he has is a few tweets decades after he helped kill universal health care in the U.S.
  22. I've only ever passively cared about other sports. I'll watch or go to a few Mavericks or Rangers games a year, but I've never been passionate about it. I will be absolutely depressed if/when CFB doesn't happen at all this year.
  23. Remember when Clear Lake Horn, Tahoe, and others would jokingly call Obama "The Messiah" because they thought the left worshipped him in a cult-like manner? It's almost as if every one of their projections of how terrible Obama and the left were from 2008-2016 have manifested in Trump and now they've all now completely embraced it.
  24. This, but all drugs. The government shouldn't be telling people what they can't put in themselves regardless if it's marijuana, booze, pills, cocaine, or meth. The legal status of a drug has never stopped an addict from doing it. Quit filling up prisons with people with mental health issues.
